Ian marched angrily from the VIP ward to Nicole's office. She was already seven months pregnant and she refused to take it easy. At first Ian wanted her to take her maternity leave, but Nicole was stubborn, she insisted on working, so they agreed that she wasn't allowed to do anything strenuous.
If she wasn't worried about her well being she should at least think of the life growing inside her.
"Is she in?" Ian asked Nicole's secretary.
"She is sir." The assistant said as she looked up adoringly at Ian. Her look wasn't something new to Ian, he was quite good looking, but when he stood next to Cedric or Eric, he fell a little short in terms of looks.
Ian chose not to knock and simply barged into Nicole's office.
"Don't you people know how to knock!" Nicole said angrily as she heard the door open.
Ian suddenly burst out laughing as he heard his girlfriend getting mad.
"Ian?" Nicole asked as she turned to face him. "Shouldn't you be in your room resting?" Nicole asked.
"I came here to scold you and yet you shout at me the moment I come in." Ian said as he looked at Nicole. "Well I heard some very concerning news. Do you have anything to confess?" Ian asked as he walked closer to her.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Nicole said coldly as she turned back around and packed some documents on her desk. "I was packing up so that I could work in your room. You need to rest."
Ian wrapped an arm around her waist and planted a kiss on her cheek. "I'm not the one that's injured, it's Cedric that's injured."
"Still, you need to rest, Miguel said he wanted to keep you under observation overnight, just in case something happened." Nicole argued back.

"Nic, it's not good for the baby if you're angry, stressed, or worried." Ian reminded her as he helped her pack her things.
"It's like you're telling me not to breath." Nicole complained.
Ian simply laughed at her comment as he picked up her bag from the desk.
"I'm the doctor here, not you." Nicole told Ian as he pulled her into his arms.
"You smell so good." Ian mumbled into her ears as he kissed her on the forehead.
Nicole sighed at Ian. "What's gotten into you?" She asked as she let him hold her.
"I got worried today, that's all." Ian said as he finally released her and walked towards the door with Nicole's things. "I'll stay for observation if it will make you feel better, but you have to stay with me too." Ian told Nicole.
"Of course I'll stay with you." Nicole said with a smile. "The house feels empty without you there." Nicole blushed as she said her last statement. Ian chuckled as they walked out of her office.
As they made their way to the VIP room assigned to Ian they bumped into Ray, Ayanna, and Adrianna.
"Ian, are you alright?" Adrianna asked as she looked him over to see if there were any visible injuries.
"I'm fine." Ian said with a smile. "Nicole and I were just heading to my room, Miguel wants me to remain under observation for the next 24 hours."
"What happened?"Ayanna asked. Ray had told her what he knew but she still wanted to hear it from either Ian or Cedric.
"Well… I'm not sure I'm allowed to say." Ian knew that if Adrianna and Ayanna found out from him that Cedric had gone to Hype bar for such a shallow reason, Cedric would not spare him.

"Did Cedric tell you not to tell us?" Ayanna asked as she glared at Ian.
"No, I just value my life." Ian said with a laugh.
"Where's Cedric? Is he fine? I don't believe what Ray told us, I trust you more." Adrianna asked, making Ray shake his head. He had told them over the phone that Cedric was fine and that he just needed some rest, but Adrianna was worried that the boys were downplaying things so she insisted on coming over to the hospital herself.
"He's fine." Ian confirmed. "The bullet hit his leg and Miguel did something to prevent infection. He's actually talking to the girl we saved right now."
"What girl?" Adrianna asked.
"Oh…" Ian said as he realized Adrianna didn't know that they had saved someone.
"You better start talking." Adrianna threatened.
"Nic, save me." Ian begged as he looked lovingly at Nicole.
"Tell them, that'll save you." Nicole said with a laugh.
"Maybe Cedric should just tell you." Ian said as he began walking towards Cedric's room.
Ian knocked and walked in,he was shocked to find Ciara crying as she reached for Cedric's hand.
"Cedric, your wife and sister are here." Ian said as he stopped the group from entering. He just realized that if Ciara saw Ayanna, she would be suspicious.
Ian quickly turned and told Nicole to take everyone else to his room first while he got rid of Ciara. Nicole laughed at how Ian forgot something, but she did as he asked and brought them over to the other room.
Ciara on the other hand was wiping her tears away. "You're married?" She asked Cedric between sobs.
"Yes. And I have a son. Now do you understand?" Cedric asked Ciara.
"But I love you now." Ciara cried out. Ian was taken by surprise as the girl suddenly confessed her feelings.
"Ian, please help Ciara out." Cedric said in a cold tone.
Ian nodded and did as Cedric asked. When he approached Ciara she suddenly broke down into tears and started screaming at Ian.
"Call a nurse." Ian said as he pointed at the button by Cedric's bed.
As soon as Cedric did that Nurse Jen and several others entered the room, Nicole whose attention had been caught by the commotion followed after them.
"What happened?" Nicole asked as several nurses tried to hold Ciara down.
