"V, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Miguel asked as he began to worry about his wife. Just a moment ago she was fine and responding well to his actions, and now, all of a sudden she was behaving this way.

"Miguel, I can't do this. You'll be disgusted with me." Veronica said as she began to cry.

Miguel didn't say a word, he simply held her and let her cry. He hugged her gently as she sobbed for a few minutes, he knew she needed to let it out, she needed to feel whatever was bothering her.

"V, no matter what it is I will always love you." Miguel said as he kissed her lips.

"Why are you so perfect?" Veronica cried again.

"I'm nothing without you." Miguel kissed her again, he wanted Veronica to know that he loved her, that she was loved, truly and deeply.

"Miguel, I'm not…" Veronica had begun to speak but she was embarrassed to say what she had to. "Miguel, you won't want me if I told you."

"Veronica, don't think I'm that shallow. I've waited to hear that you love me for years, my love isn't fragile." Miguel told his wife as he continued to hold her tenderly in his arms, he would never let anything separate them again.

"Miguel, I can't tell you. I can't lose you." Veronica said as she sobbed into his chest.

"You won't V. I'm kinda tied to you." Miguel teased as he lifted his ring finger to show off his wedding ring. "And if that's not enough V, we'll make a child, then you will never leave me and I will never leave you." Miguel said as he kissed his wife on the cheeks and wiped her tears away.

"Miguel…" Veronica said as she continued to cry.

"V, remember how you didn't confront me about the Paris incident?" Miguel asked her as he lifted her chin so that she was looking directly into his eyes.

"Yuh, that was just a moment ago idiot." Veronica replied, remembering to insert her usual insult, making Miguel smile. He loved this adorable wife of his, he could just eat her up, no he wanted to eat her up, to have her, to hold her, to be with her in every way possible.

"Don't you see how lies, secrets, and misunderstandings have managed to keep us apart?" Miguel asked his wife as he watched her lick her lips. He wanted to lick her lips too, but he couldn't get distracted, not now at least, maybe later. "V, please tell me. Please trust me, please trust my love for you." Miguel begged.

Veronica bit her lip and hesitated. Miguel responded by kissing her passionately.

"Please." He asked gently.

"Miguel, I'm not a virgin." Veronica finally said as she burst into tears.

"V, is that just it?" Miguel asked. He was worried that she would say that she can't have a child, but that didn't matter, the only thing that mattered was their love.

Veronica looked up at him in surprise.

"V, we're friends with Katerina, Eric, and Alexi, none of them are innocent. Why would you think I would reject you for something as shallow as that?" Miguel asked.

"Eric and Alexi don't count, they're guys." Veronica explained to her husband. "Katerina is a law unto her own. She doesn't care and she's always been okay with not finding her happy ever after, and even then Eric doesn't care about things like that, he has made it incredibly clear. So Katerina is not a good comparison either."

"But V, I don't care. You could line up all the virgins in the Capital and I wouldn't pick any of them, because the only one I want to be with is you." Miguel said as he hugged her tighter.

"Miguel, it was Jason." Veronica confessed.

"Do you want me to take off his manhood? I'm pretty sure his doctor is at Saints." Miguel offered, he was serious about this. If Veronica wanted him to break his oath as a doctor for this, he would, and he would not hesitate.

"No, he didn't force me, Miguel." Veronica said in a panic as she saw how serious Miguel was with his offer. "I just regret it." Veronica said with a sigh.

"Is this why you're afraid of being together physically?" Miguel asked her. "You're afraid I'll reject you because you aren't a virgin? V, I don't care. I still want to be with you. I want us to start a family. I will always want you" As he asked this he tenderly stroked her hair.

"It's not just that Miguel. It wasn't a good experience." Veronica confessed.

"Do you want to talk about it V?" Miguel asked his wife. He was ready to do anything, listen, talk, make out, have sex, anything she wanted, just as long as she was happy.

"I gave it to him and he betrayed me." Veronica finally said after a long pause. "I don't regret exploring, but Jason was not nice to me. He used me, and in the end he was hurting me both emotionally and physically. Miguel, I lost sight of who I truly was and I'm afraid. I don't know if you've heard about what we were like. I would go to him everyday at his most convenient time, I would pick him up with my driver, I would pay for our dates, I would buy him things, things he often gave away to his friends. Did you know he didn't want our relationship to be seen by the public because I was an Abad? So if people saw us the news would spread like wildfire, so he wanted to keep it a secret, he told me it would be more genuine that way. At school he always struggled, so I did all of his work. In the end my work suffered so everything I turned in was subpar and he became a rising star. I once caught him with another woman, when I asked him about it he said he needed a public relationship as a front for his parents. Imagine, me Anna Abad, being made into a mistress for some worthless man! But I was stupid, I continued to stay because he made me feel special, because he wasn't my fiance who I was forced to be with. It all broke down when I was accused of plagiarizing his work and using my last name, the Abad name, to get good grades and bribing my professors. He betrayed me in every way possible and I ended up running away. He took everything from me! When I left for Paris I was no one, I didn't know who I was, I didn't know what I wanted, I just had to get away."

"Don't worry, I know. I've been working with the boys to get back at him. Don't be afraid V." Miguel said as he tried to comfort her.

"I hate that I gave up my identity just for a man like him." Veronica said as she continued to cry.

"V, are you afraid of losing yourself in our relationship?" Miguel asked.

"No. I trust you. I know you. I know you wouldn't do something like that to me." Veronica said as she hugged Miguel.

"It's just whenever I try anything passionate, even on my own, I get flashbacks to when I was with Jason." Veronica explained, Miguel could feel her sobbing a little as his shirt began to dampen.

"So when we kiss?" Miguel asked tentatively.

"Only at first, after a while it began to go away. I think I was replacing those painful memories with new ones with you. Happier ones, with someone I love." As she said that she loved him, Miguel lifted her chin and placed a gentle peck on her lips.

"V, why don't we make happier memories of the other stuff." Miguel said with a wink as he kissed her.
