Luckily Veronica was not injured by her fall as she tried to stand back up, but Miguel panicked and ran down the stairs to pick her up.

"Are you ok? V, please don't scare me like that again. I can't live without you, you're my life Veronica." Miguel said as he did a visual check and lifted her in his arms.

"I'm fine Miguel!" Veronica said as she tried to get him to drop her. Miguel was worried she would get hurt so he had no choice but to give into her protests, if it were up to him they would rush to Saints and he would have a full body check up done just to be safe.

"Ok, ok. But let me check you, I'll take you back to our room." Miguel told her, as he walked back up the stairs.

He gently placed her on the couch and checked the wound on her knee and elbow.

Miguel left to get the first aid kit and got on his knees to apply ointment and bandage her injuries.

"You're lucky you didn't break anything. Please be careful next time V." Miguel said tenderly to her. "Also you misunderstood that time in Paris."

"How can I misunderstand that time?" Veronica asked him, he could tell from her tone that she was clearly angry.

Miguel took out his phone and dialed a number and placed his phone on speaker mode. It rang for a while until it was finally picked up.

"Yo!" It was Alexi.

"Hey Alexi, remember that time you did something in Paris and all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the hospital misunderstood me?" Miguel asked.

"Ah yeah, you aren't still mad about that right? I mean that doctor was hot and she wanted to role play. I can't really deprive people of me." Alexi said with an awkward laugh.

"I wasn't mad, until now." Miguel said in a threatening tone.

"Oh, come on Miguel. It doesn't hurt your image if people think you're as good as me at sex." Alexi said with a laugh.

"That's not what I'm mad about." Miguel told his friend.

"Then what? I'll do whatever it takes to make it up to you bro. Get rare flowers for V? Sure. Buy her the rarest diamond? No problem. Just say the word." Alexi confidently boasted to Miguel.

"Veronica was outside the room, she heard the woman, and probably you." Miguel finally revealed.

"Oh damn man, my bad. She must think you're a liar now. You kept telling her you've never been with a woman when she thought it was you that had something with Jen. Look bro, what do you need?" Alexi asked Miguel, he was clearly sorry that Veronica had heard him.

Veronica who was seated on the couch and listening on the other hand was in shock. Miguel had signaled for her to keep quiet, but she couldn't even say anything due to the shock.

"Remind me again why you were in Paris that time?" Miguel asked.

"Oh I went with Ram. He wanted to visit V and he promised me that he would introduce me to some girls. Hot girls, and they were really hot." Alexi laughed as he recounted his Paris trip with Ram. "So what do you want me to do to make it up?" Alexi asked.

Veronica quickly took out her phone and typed something and passed it over to Miguel who grinned.

"Well you technically hurt Veronica, so, you need to give her something." Miguel told Alexi with a grin.

"Sure, anything." Alexi confidently said.

"Have V re-model your office in the province. The whole building." Miguel told Alexi.

"Are you crazy? Do you know how much it costs to hire your wife? My constituents will kill me!" Alexi complained.

"But you'll pay for it out of your pocket." Miguel told Alexi.

"Fine, fine." Alexi said, surrendering to what Miguel wanted.

"Thank you, Alexi!" Veronica happily said as she laughed.

"You! You! The two of you tricked me!" Alexi was furious.

"Well I wouldn't have believed Miguel if he had told you I was on the line too. You could have lied to me." Veronica told Alexi.

"Fine. Good night." Alexi said as he angrily dropped the call.

"Now do you believe me?" Miguel asked his wife.

"Yes." Veronica said with a smile as she kissed him. At first it was gentle and sweet, but it soon became more passionate and urgent.

Miguel quickly joined her on the couch and wrapped his arm around her waist. He didn't want to lose this opportunity to have a passionate moment with his wife.

"V, why were you at my office in Paris that day?" Miguel asked in between kisses.

"I don't wanna tell." Veronica complained as his lips left hers.

"Tell me." Miguel said as he began to trace a line of kisses along her neck, making her moan in desire. "Come on V. Tell me." Miguel whispered seductively into her ear.

"I… I…" Veronica stuttered as she struggled to confess the truth to her husband.

"Please V, I've told you everything." Miguel asked as he continued to ravish her with kisses.

"I went there to confess to you." Veronica suddenly blurted out making Miguel stop and sit up.

"What? Wait, what?" Miguel wore a confused look on his face as he looked at Veronica who was blushing.

"You heard me." Veronica said not wanting to repeat herself.

"What were you going to confess? I don't want to assume." Miguel asked her as he helped her sit back up.

"I was going to tell you I love you." Veronica said as she avoided looking her husband in the eyes. "Miguel, I think I started to fall for you that night at the park. I don't know if you remember, but when they announced our engagement I ran. I was so mad. I didn't want to be in an arranged marriage, I wanted to love, to be loved, and you, you were someone that was there, someone that was just always there. I loved you, but not romantically, I cared for you, but I was young, I didn't know what love was or if what I was feeling for you or for Jason was love. I saw you, before I fainted. I saw you and I felt you carry me. Later on I woke up for a bit and you were at my bedside, not my brother, not Nicole, you and your handsome face and you were so worried about me, I thought maybe you liked me. When I woke up and my memory was hazy at first everyone lied and said that my brother had saved me, I thought you didn't want me, I thought you asked my brother to lie to me. But when we were in Paris, I realized that I loved you. You were so caring and so sweet and something about you just made me fall."

Miguel was overjoyed with what Veronica had said and a part of him was pissed off at Alexi for causing the misunderstanding. He pulled her onto his lap and began to kiss her more passionately.

His hand slowly made its way around her, exploring her body. Veronica was kissing him back, moaning at every touch.

"V, I love you." Miguel whispered into her ear as he nibbled it gently. "V, I want you." Miguel said as his manhood rubbed against her gently.

Veronica suddenly stiffened and pushed Miguel back.

"Wait, Miguel, I can't. I can't do what you want. We can't." Veronica muttered in panic as tears began to stream from her eyes.
