Camilla and Ian were still chatting with Cedric when they heard the elevator arrive. They quickly changed the topic to something more casual.

"Mr. Cedric! Mr. Cedric!" Mae said as she and Dave rushed up to the elder employees.

"Mae, relax, what's up?" Camilla asked her junior assistant.

"New rumor, about your wife, and boss." Mae said, panting.

Ian quickly opened his tablet and checked social media, and true enough there was a new article about the Reyes Heir and Adrianna.

"What is it?" Cedric asked as he saw Ian let a smile slip.

"Uhhhh, read it for yourself." Ian said as he passed the tablet over.

There were multiple articles but they all had one image on them, it was a photo of Adrianna climbing into Cedric's black Rolls Royce. Cedric knew this image, this was him picking up his wife the night before. They had made sure to time it perfectly so that others would not see her getting into a different car. Whoever caught these images must have been waiting outside Island's Inc. for quite a while.

"Mr. Cedric…" Mae said slowly.

"Mae, Dave, go down to the PR Department, we'll call the boss and see how he wants to deal with this." Ian quickly said in a serious tone.

Cedric could see that Dave wanted to say something but he changed his mind and just nodded and left with Mae.

"They're smarter than I expected." Cedric said as he noticed that the two junior assistants had realized that something was off.

"Well we needed to get rid of them to see what you want us to do." Ian said with a shrug.

"Just get someone to say I lent my car to me." Cedric said. "That sound so stupid, but yes, just do that."

Just as Cedric was trying to resolve the new rumors that were circulating about him and his wife his phone began to ring.

"Alexi?" Cedric asked as he picked up the call.

"I need a drink." Alexi said in a grim tone. "Hype Bar, Ray's room." After saying where he was Alexi dropped the call.

"Can you deal with things here?" Cedric asked his assistants.

"We'll work on it. A statement will be out by today." Camilla said with a nod. "You should inform your wife about your plan. She might be taken by surprise." Camilla advised.

Cedric simply nodded and gathered his things. He went down straight to the underground parking of Mor Co. and got into one of his cars that were parked there.

When Cedric got to Hype Bar he called his wife to warn her about the latest news.

"Are you busy?" Cedric asked as he heard his wife's sweet voice come from the phone.

"No. My last meeting just finished." Adrianna said, sounding exhausted.

"There are new rumors about us." Cedric said with a light chuckle.

"Us us or me and the Reyes Heir?" Adrianna asked her husband.

"You and the Reyes Heir. Don't worry, I've already had the PR team release a statement that the Reyes Heir wasn't the one in the car." Cedric quickly explained.

"Yeah, it was my husband that was in the car." Adrianna teased.

"Just don't go out the main exit today. Pass through the basement parking and have our security team escort you." Cedric reminded his wife.

"I'll be careful." Adrianna promised.

"I'm out right now. Alexi called, he asked me to meet him at Hype. I hope you don't mind." Cedric told his wife, he avoided hiding things from her. Cedric was still worried that any small lie would trigger trust issues between them.

"Of course I don't Cedric. I had you for years. They're only getting to spend more time with you now. Go and have fun." Adrianna told her husband in a happy tone.

"I'll ask Leon to drive me home if I drink too much." Cedric promised.

"Go have fun. Don't make Alexi wait." Adrianna said with a giggle as she dropped the call.

Cedric made sure to wear his disguise as he got off his car, it was way too flashy for people not to realize that only the richest of the rich could afford to drive it.

Even if it was quite early Hype bar was very famous, so a lot of people were already inside. It wasn't packed but the musing was already on full blast and people were dancing.

Cedric walked towards the stairs when he was suddenly pulled.

"Dance with me!" A woman shouted as she began to grind her body on Cedric.

Cedric remained stiff on the dance floor not responding to her. She suddenly turned and placed her arm around his neck and continued to maintain contact between their bodies. When Cedric saw who it was he suddenly took a step back, it was the girl from the restaurant earlier Selina Buan.

"Sister! Sister!" A man that looked very much like Selina called out as he pulled her off Cedric. "I'm so sorry Mr. Reyes. My sister has been under a lot of pressure lately so she drank a lot and lost control of herself, I'm really sorry."

Cedric saw that Selina's brother was telling the truth so he simply nodded and turned to walk away.

"Hey Mr. Reyes Heir! You look so much like a punk I saved earlier! You should meet him, he might be your long lost twin!" Selina said as she moved closer to Cedric.

"Sis, stop, stop." Her brother said as he pulled her away.

"Mr. Reyes. I'm sorry." The man apologized again as he finally managed to drag Selina away.

Cedric was shocked with the coincidence but he just shook off the incident. When he finally climbed up to Ray's private room he found that all his friends were already there.

"What made you call us all over?" Cedric asked as Miguel poured him a glass.

"Hehe. It��s his turn to be heartbroken." Miguel teased.

"I'm not heartbroken." Alexi responded defensively. "I simply failed to close a deal today."

"Courting a woman isn't like some political alliance Alexi." Ram told him, to which the other boys simply nodded.

"I never fail." Alexi said as he downed another glass of his drink.

"Nurse Jen rejected him?" Cedric asked as he laughed at his friend.

"Of course. The woman doesn't want a relationship. She's still confused." Ram said with a shrug.

"She's an odd one that one." Ray commented. He couldn't drink that much since he and Ayanna were leaving for their honeymoon trip around the world the next day.

"She just has some dignity." Miguel said, proud of his employee.
