As Katerina and Eric walked out of Alexi's study, Eric noticed that Katerina seemed to have something on her mind. He held her hand and massaged it in an attempt to sooth her, but it still seemed that her mind was miles away.

"Katerina." Eric called out. Katerina was so deep in thought that she didn't hear Eric call out to her. He decided to make sure she made it safely to his car before further questioning her.

When they got to the car Eric had to help her in as she bumped her head on the door, she was clearly very distracted by something. Eric couldn't help but ask her. "Katerina, what's wrong? Did Alexi say something that's bothering you?"

"No, it's not Alexi." Katerina's response still didn't give Eric any leads making him worry even more. Katerina wasn't the type to focus too much on one thing and lose sight of the world around her, so her current behavior made Eric feel like whatever was distracting his girlfriend was quite a heavy issue.

"Pris Mall." Eric told his driver who was in the front seat. The driver nodded and pulled out of Alexi's driveway.

"Katerina, tell me, what's bothering you?" Eric asked again in the hopes that his girlfriend would give him a better answer this time.

"It's Nurse Jen. I never liked her. My gut keeps telling me something is not right about her." Katerina said as she bit her lower lip.

"Stop biting your lip, or else I'll bite it for you." Eric threatened as he looked at Katerina hungrily.

"You wouldn't dare." Katerina said as she glared at Eric.

Eric laughed and lowered his face to kiss Katerina, as promised he gently nibbled on her lips as they kissed. When they finally broke it off Katerina still seemed distracted, she seemed to be miles away in her head.

"If Nurse Jen really worries you, have her investigated." Eric suggested. "But I'm sure Nicole and Miguel already looked into her background before hiring her.��

"I hope they won't get offended if I have her looked into again." Katerina said as she played with the phone on her lap.

"Katerina, you're only worried about your brother, it's normal for you to want to have Nurse Jen's background checked." Eric said in an attempt to calm Katerina.

Katerina simply nodded and kissed him on the lips before dialing a number on her phone.

"Look up a Jennifer Pelaez for me. She works as a nurse at Saints Hospital and is currently assigned to the Reyes Household." Katerina ordered. Eric smiled, Katerina's sudden transformation from sweet and vulnerable to a female boss amused him, he found this aspect of Katerina very interesting.

"Dig as far back. If she's hiding anything, I want it found." Katerina commanaded. "You have a week." His girlfriend said as she put down the call.

"Are you done being scary?" Eric teased as he lifted Katerina onto his lap. In private the couple was very intimate, it was as if they were making up for lost time.

"Eric, we aren't alone." Katerina scolded.

Eric grinned and raised the divider between them and the front seats.

"Now, shall we continue?" Eric asked as he traced kisses on Katerina's neck, Katerina let out a moan that only encouraged Eric to continue what he was doing.

"Eric, this isn't appropriate behavior in a car." Katerina playfully scolded.

"Mmmm, you make it very difficult to resist Katerina." Eric said as a hand slipped under her shirt. "I'm very sad that you refuse to wear a dress, it makes access very difficult." Eric seductively whispered.

"If I wore a skirt I don't think you could stop yourself." Katerina flirted back. She wasn't some shy little virgin, she could hold her own against Eric Chan, and Eric loved that about her.

"I can't wait to get home Katerina, I won't need you to be in a skirt." Eric said hungrily as he massaged under her shirt making Katerina moan in delight.

Eric quickly placed his lips over hers to keep her quiet. It excited him even more that she was on his lap enjoying every moment with him. It was truly a blessing to have a woman as open as Katerina Sebastian.

When Eric's car finally pulled up at the basement of Pris Mall several bodyguards approached to make sure that no fans would get too close.

"I don't want to go." Eric complained as he took a break from passionately kissing Katerina.

"You have to work, you need to make enough money to support me." Katerina teased as she placed an innocent kiss on his cheeks.

"Hmph, you don't even need me to support you." Eric responded.

"Go on and get to work. Your driver will take me home." Katerina said as she bid Eric goodbye.

As the car drove steadily on the highway Katerina's phone began to ring. She took it out of her bag and was surprised to see that it was Cedric calling her.

"Yes big brother?" Katerina asked, she had always seen the boys as her elder brothers and it had been a form of endearment from her to call them her big brothers.

"Katerina, I have some legal matters that my team can't handle. Can you come over on Monday to help out?" Cedric asked over the phone.

"I don't think I have anything scheduled on Monday, so sure, I'll be there first thing." Katerina said, confirming the appointment. "Does this have anything to do with the incident from six months ago?" Katerina asked. She needed to be ready for their meeting.

"Yes, an issue with the family as well as other parties have come up. I want to settle it as quietly as possible but they are stubborn and want it done in court. I swear Katerina I feel like we are being attacked from all sides right now." Cedric said with a sigh.

"Cedric, maybe it's not my help you need. You might need Alexi, Ram, and Ray on this. All I can do is help you with the legalities, this all feels like a big set up." Katerina didn't hide her suspicions from Cedric, it would bring no good if she did that. The best choice was to be upfront and to share her suspicions in case it could help them.

Katerina heard Cedric let out a sigh.

"I have been suspecting that, yes." Cedric admitted. "But the attacks are so scattered I feel like we've been chasing the culprits everywhere. They are smart, I've already told everyone to stay alert, we still don't know who the real target is."

"I find the new gossip site very suspicious. It feels too dedicated to going after our group." Katerina said.

"Ram is investigating them, I expect that he might ask for your legal advice soon. You'll probably have your hands full with this issue." Cedric warned.

"You are all like family to me, and I would do anything for family." Katerina said in a serious tone.

"Thank you Katerina. I'll see you on Monday." Cedric said as he dropped the call.
