Veronica felt her heart break. She didn't understand why she was feeling this pain. She had closed off all emotions to Miguel when they were in Paris, but why was she hurting now. This man was only her husband on paper, what did she care if some slutty nurse walked out of his office adjusting her clothes as if the unspeakable had just happened.

Despite not wanting to, she continued to walk down the hall till she reached the office door. She stopped before entering. She took a deep breath, she had no idea what she would find on the other side, she hoped and prayed that it would not be something that would hurt her even more. and pushed the door open, as she entered she saw Miguel buttoning up his shirt.

"Did you leave anything, Nurse Jen?" Miguel asked in a concerned tone without turning his back to see who had entered. When he heard no response, he moved to turn around.

He was suddenly greeted with a slap to the face making him turn around and face his attacker. When he realized that it was his wife that entered his office, the color on his face suddenly drained, he was puzzled as to why she had slapped him on the face.

"Why are you here V?" Miguel said with a smile in a loving tone, despite his confusion, as he pushed a stray hair behind her ear.

Veronica attempted to slap him on the other cheek this time but it was caught by his strong hand. Suddenly Miguel pulled Veronica to him and kissed her forehead, Veronica reacted and pushed him hard on the chest making him stumble a little.

"Don't, just..don't Miguel." Veronica said as she turned to leave.

Miguel refused to let her out of his office without an explanation, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him again, this time wrapping an arm around her waist. He took advantage of her shock and kissed her passionately on the lips.

"Did you come over to check on me?" Miguel asked as their lips parted.

"Miguel, I know we're in an arranged marriage, you don't have to do romantic things like this. But I swear, don't fuc***g cheat on me in your office. It's completely unprofessional. Not to mention your entire family is downstairs, it's disgusting." Veronica said as she pushed her husband away.

"What are you saying V?" Miguel asked as he continued to stop her from leaving. "I've never cheated on you. You're my one and only."

"I don't want to hear it." Veronica said finally prying herself free from his hold and running out the door.

"V!" Miguel shouted as he grabbed her by the arm.

Veronica could feel the tears falling from her eyes as she turned and slapped her husband hard on the face. Miguel was not surprised by the slap, he could handle the pain it dealt, but he was shocked when he saw Veronica in tears.

He ended up letting her go as she ran out of his office, wiping her eyes.

As she ran to the elevator she bumped into Nicole and Katerina. When her friends saw her sobbing they pulled her towards Nicole's office.

"What happened? I thought you were going to my brother?" Nicole asked as she locked the door behind them. Nicole watched as Veronica sat on the couch and continued to cry, meanwhile Katerina walked around Nicole's office looking for something. "What are you doing Katerina?" Nicole asked in an annoyed tone as Katerina continued to touch the shelves as if inspecting something.

"Found it!" Katerina proudly said as she pulled out a bottle from behind one of the shelves.

"What is that doing here?" Nicole asked as she placed her hands on her waist. It seemed her friends were hiding secret stashes in her office on Kashmere Island's hospital.

"Well your operations are dreadfully long." Katernia began to complain. "You always tell us two hours tops or five hours tops. Then when we arrive a nurse tells us to wait in your office and we have to wait for another two hours before you and Miguel are done. So we've been keeping a stash here. You know to keep us company and what not." Katerina said with a laugh.

Katerina walked over to the couch with the bottle and three mugs as she poured them all a drink.

"So what happened to you?" Katerina asked the sobbing Veronica.

"He cheated on me!" She shouted in anger. "My heart feels like it's breaking because of him again. It hurts so much guys."

"Wait, what? That's not possible!" Nicole said in shock. She knew just how much her brother loved Veronica. She watched over the years as he did everything for her and loved her. Him cheating on Veronica was just impossible. There was never any other woman in her brother's life, it had always been just Veronica.

"And what do you mean by again?" Katerina added as she inched closer to Veronica.

"I already fell for him before." Veronica confessed as she kept her head down.

"Are you in love with him now?" Katerina continued to ask.

"Yes, I mean no, you know what, honestly I don't even know anymore." Veronica said as tears continued to stream from her eyes. "I just can't understand what's happening, I'm trying to think of an excuse for what I saw. I want to think that I saw the wrong things or that things looked and sounded differently from where I stood but there is no way I'm mistaken." Veronica continued to say, as tears streamed out of her eyes. She was hurt, and she was hurt really bad. Aside from the pain she was feeling, she was confused by why she was even hurting. She said she wouldn't love him anymore, so why this time? Did she really still love him.

"Why not tell us about what happened, then tell us why you said he hurt you again?" Katerina asked as she patted her friend's back.

Veronica recounted what had happened from the moment she arrived on the fourth floor until she entered Miguel's room and saw him fixing his clothes as he called out another woman's name.

"You should talk to my brother." Nicole said.

"Wait, I wanna know about the again part. What's the again part? You loved him before?" Katerina pestered.
