Never Judge Chapter 226

Ian chose to drive him and Nicole to Ayanna's villa on the island. When they arrived Nicole quickly got out not waiting for Ian to open the door for her. Ian laughed at her childlike actions, he knew that being perfect in front of everyone else took a toll on his girlfriend and moments like these helped her a lot. Despite everything they had done earlier, Nicole seemed to be full of energy, Ian was tempted to drag her back into the car and drive back to the villa to continue what they were doing earlier.
They walked hand in hand towards the door and rang the doorbell, but instead of a maid greeting them they suddenly heard a scream from inside. Nicole quickly opened the door, they found Margaret holding a gun and pointing it towards a barely conscious Adrianna who was on the ground.
Without thinking, Ian quickly tackled the smaller woman and a gun shot was heard right before it fell onto the ground. Veronica acted quickly, kicking the gun away and checking up on Ian.
"I'm fine, did anyone get hurt?" Ian asked.
Veronica looked around and saw that everyone was fine, there was, however, a bullet mark through the roof. Nicole approached to check on Ian when Ayanna started shouting.
"Nicole!" Ayanna frantically screamed. "I think Adrianna's water broke!"
"Call Mia. Have her tell Cedric what happened and get the driver to keep Margaret down." Ian shouted back.
Veronica and Natalia nodded, quickly jumping into action. Nicole on the other hand quickly dialed a number and started barking orders. Ayanna was still beside Adrianna as she noticed her sister-in-law struggling. She looked up helplessly at Nicole who knelt to check on Adrianna.
"We need to get her to the hospital soon." Nicole shouted at Ian. Ian nodded in reply.

When the driver and members of the security team arrived, Ian handed Margaret over to them.
"Be careful. She's not stable. She's sick." Ian knew about Margaret's condition from Cedric, he was aware that Margaret wasn't in full control of herself so she may do things completely out of character.
Ian picked Adrianna up and took her to the car, he felt Adrianna becoming fainter and fainter as he looked at her with worry, he didn't need to be a doctor to know that things weren't looking good. Nicole and Ayanna were running right behind him as they went to the car. Ian placed Adrianna in the back seat, Nicole sat to her left and Ayanna to her right, while he drove. They didn't have time to wait for a driver.
"Mom said they'll inform the Reyeses and the Hernadezes. They are leaving for Kashmere immediately." Lucy Ang - Chan was an OB Gynecologist in her youth, although she was no longer active in the medical field she was still considered to be one of the best. Nicole thought it was important to have her mother there to have a more specialized opinion and care. "Ian, do you know the way to the hospital?" Nicole asked as she held Adrianna's hand in the back.
"Yeah, Camilla and I memorized Kashmere's layout." Ian answered.
Ian's phone began to ring. Nicole checked who it was and saw that it was Cedric.
"Cedric, meet us at the hospital, we've already brought Adrianna." Nicole quickly said.
"Alright. I also sent Eric to check on Margaret. Tell Adri." Cedric said over the phone.
"Just get to the hospital." Nicole said as she dropped the call.
"Adrianna, Adri, don't sleep, don't close your eyes." A desperate Ayanna called out.

"Ian, drive faster!" Nicole told her boyfriend.
Ian simply nodded and stepped on the gas. Part of his training was emergency driving techniques which included defensive driving in case of an attack, as well as emergency driving. Since there weren't any other cars on Kashmere, Ian sped up going the curving streets up the mountain where the hospital was located.
As Ian pulled up to the driveway of the hospital, a full team arrived with a wheelchair. It was Jo Meneses, Miugel's head nurse and Cedric's friend, that approached Nicole as she got off and gave her orders as other members of the elite team wheeled Adrianna away.
Luckily since Miguel was on Kashmere for vacation his whole team also accompanied him. They often did this in case an emergency patient was brought over. Since Miguel was regarded as the Miracle Doctor he would get calls to do difficult and almost impossible cases, his patients were often flown in for him to operate on. Kashmere was one of the locations where the hospital was equipped to Miguel's specifications.
After Adrianna was brought into the operating room Cedric, Miguel, and Alexi arrived at the hospital. Miguel nodded at Ayanna and Ian before finally rushing into the operating room. This worried Ayanna, for Miguel to rush in like that it meant that something difficult and dangerous was going on.
"Thank you." Cedric said as he hugged Ian. "What happened?" Cedric asked his sister.
"Everything was fine. I swear Cedric." Ayanna cried out.
"Breathe, Ayanna." Cedric said as Ayanna began to hyperventilate. "Calm down and tell us what happened."
"We were just talking and laughing when Margaret's disposition suddenly changed. She changed from smiling and excited to doom and gloom. We were shocked when she suddenly pushed Adrianna and pulled out a gun. We were lucky that Nicole and Ian arrived when they did. None of us could move, not us or the staff. Ian was extremely brave." Ayanna said, praising Ian who was next to her.
Cedric hugged his sister. "It's okay Ayanna." Cedric said in an attempt to comfort her.
Nicole came out of the operating room and lowered her mask.
"How is she?" Cedric asked with a worried look.
"She's experiencing some complications. Adri's in and out of consciousness and we can't get her to push so we have to operate on her." Nicole explained.
"Will she be alright?" Cedric asked Nicole. Everyone could hear the worry in his voice.
"Cedric, I'm not saying anything so don't take this the wrong way." Nicole said slowly as she bit her lower lip. "If things go bad, who should we save? The mother or the child?" Nicole asked, full of hesitation.
"Are you stupid Nicole?!" Cedric shouted. "Of course you save my wife. My life is nothing without her!"
