The next day Cedric woke up earlier than usual. It would be his first day working undercover in the Reyes Group. Cedric dressed in one of his old clothes and came down for breakfast. Cedric was surprised to see that Miguel was already at the dining table so early in the morning.

"Don't say anything, just don't." Miguel said as he continued to eat the food in front of him.

"Ha. Did you really expect she would give in that easily?" Cedric teased Miguel.

"Well, I was hoping that since we are married she would think to fulfill her marital duties." Miguel sighed.

"You're so naive Miguel. Anyway, why are you up so early?" Cedric asked.

"I've got an operation today. I need to prep the team in the morning." Miguel told Cedric.

"Perfect. You can give me a ride. Drop me off at the bus station." Cedric said as he ate with Miguel.

"Don't you have a driver take you to work?" Miguel asked.

"Nope. I'm starting at Reyes Group today and low level people don't have drivers." Cedric explained.

After eating Cedric and Miguel left for work together. Miguel dropped Cedric off at the nearest bus stop before finally driving off to Saints.

From where Miguel dropped Cedric off it was another 30 minutes to R Tower by bus. As he got on the bus Cedric noticed Leon following him, this of course made him feel safer, at least if anything happened Leon was there.

At R Tower, Cedric approached the woman at the reception area.

"Hi. I'm a new employee, where should I go?" Cedric asked.

"Name?" The woman said as she typed on the computer in front of her.

"Cedric Reyes." Cedric said.

"Okay, give me an ID and I'll give you a pass to get in. Oh, hi." The girl suddenly blushed when she looked at Cedric.

"Ah, yeah, hi. Here." Cedric said, handing his ID.

"Well Cedric. Here is your pass and if you need anything, here is my number." The receptionist said with a wink.

Cedric gave a confused look and left. He suddenly realized that he didn't know where to go so he sighed and went back to the receptionist.

"I think you forgot to tell me where to go." Cedic told the woman.

"3rd floor, go to HR." The girl said with a warm smile.

Cedric thanked her and went to the third floor. When Cedric got there he was directed to go to the orientation room where ten other young men and women were also seated and waiting.

Cedric sat next to a young man who looked like he was fresh out of college. When he sat down the man smiled at him.

"Hi, I'm Adolfo Luna. I'll be in the R&D department." The man said enthusiastically. Alfonso wore thick glasses and had his black hair in a military cut.

"Cedric Reyes. I'm gonna be in the business development team. Are you a fresh grad?" Cedric asked.

"Not really. But I get that a lot. I graduated early then worked in the military for some time, confidential stuff, then I got recruited by the Reyes Group." Adolfo explained.

Not long after Adolfo finished speaking a group of employees entered the orientation room.

"Good morning. I'm the head of HR here at the Reyes Group, I'd like to welcome all of you on your first day." The head of HR was a middle aged lady named Beth Ching, she knew that the Reyes Heir would be here today, so she decided to welcome the new employees herself.

As she scanned the room she saw Cedric in his simple attire listening attentively to her. She was surprised, he was nothing like the cold CEO all the rumors were saying, instead he wore a warm smile and an eager look.

After welcoming everyone she left them to her staff.

As the staff discussed the basic rules and regulations of the Reyes Group a latecomer confidently arrived.

"And you are?" The HR staff asked as the man walked in and sat.

"Jason Evangelista. I'm the new manager at the design department for Krisanta Land. Yes, I'm the famous designer J." Jason said as he sat behind Cedric.

"Never heard of you." Cedric said, making Adolfo laugh.

"Regardless of who you are sir, the Reyes Group is strict with time. Since you are new you will be left off with a warning." The HR staff said.

Jason rolled his eyes but said nothing else.

During their lunch break, Cedric decided to eat with Adolfo who had quickly become his friend. As they walked to a nearby restaurant someone pulled Cedric back by the shoulder.

"You think you're so smart with your comment? You might not know who I am but I'm a very important person. Don't you dare cross me again." Jason warned.

Cedric just shrugged his hand off and continued to walk with Adolfo. Of course Cedric knew who Jason Evangelista was, he knew everything about the man, Miguel had a whole portfolio and revenge plan drawn up.

Jason Evangelista had been best friends with Anna Abad during their university days, this was before Anna left for Paris and changed her name. Back then the Evangelista's book business was thriving, but Jason had no skill. The truth was that most of the work he had submitted in the past was mostly done by Anna or Veronica. Eventually he decided that he didn't want Anna being the best in their batch so he decided to spread rumors about her buying her work or paying a professional to do her projects. People of course chose to believe him, everyone liked to think that you couldn't be that rich and that talented.

Eventually the pressure and the rumors broke Anna, sending her to Paris to change her name. Jason continued to study design, this time he bought off designs and passed them as his own, until he became a multi awarded talent as well.

Cedric had offered Miguel in the past to deal with Jason, but Miguel refused. He wanted to deal with the man himself.

"Do you really not know the designer J?" Adolfo asked Cedric.

"Nope. Couldn't care about him." Cedric said.
