On their way down Ayanna called Ray.

"Hey Ray. We're buying Adrianna some stuff, we're gonna pass by Lau Jewelry." Ayanna said. ​​

Adrianna of course didn't hear what Ray said on the other end but Ayanna had a pissed off look on her face.

"That's not fair Ray. You'd do it without anything in exchange for Ced!" Ayanna complained.

As Ray spoke Ayanna just sighed in surrender.

"Fine. I'll tell you when I'm free." Ayanna said, dropping the call.

"What was that about?" Adrianna asked.

"Ray wants me to treat him to dinner in exchange for showing us the best pieces in Lau Jewelry." Ayanna complained.

"He just wants to have dinner with Ayanna." Katerina explained.

"Don't believe her Adrianna!" Ayanna said.

"Ray knows that if he actually asks you out then you could say no. This way he can go on a date with you without it being too awkward." Nicole teased.

"It's not a date." Ayanna declared.

"Whatever you say Adrianna, but we all know Ray has liked you for a really long time. I'm sure he even has Cedric's approval." Veronica teased.

"Just drop it. Come on." Ayanna said dragging everyone into the jewelry shop.

At another part of the city, Cedric sat in his car with Ian seated next to him and Camilla seated in front with the driver.

"How is the situation with our expansion?" Cedric asked Ian as he read through some reports on a tablet Camilla had given him.

"Sir, we haven't encountered any issues. So far everything is going as planned." Ian reported.

"Good, maybe now you can go on a date." Cedric teased. Despite his new position Cedric still recognized that during his time as an ordinary employee he had only one friend, and that was Ian.

Ian had always been the quiet type, he kept things to himself and didn't like to talk about himself. At the time this was perfect for Cedric since he didn't want to share anything about himself either. He was hiding half of who he was and he was never comfortable with lying.

"It's not one of my priorities now Cedric." Ian said shifting to a more casual tone.

"Oh, before I forget, did you settle the matter with Tom and Jo?" Cedric asked.

"Yes. Tom is slowly being promoted to the position of Manager of the Quirino branch of Constellations. The current manager is actually on track to be transferred to the head office so there shouldn't be an issue. As for Jo, he passed all of Miguel's tests and has joined his team at Saints Hospital." Camilla reported.

"I think after this we all deserve a break. How about taking the whole Mor Co. to Kashmere? Do you think they will like that?" Cedric asked.

"Sir, of course. Kashmere is like a dream most people can never lay eyes on." Camilla said. Prior to working for Cedric she too felt like Kashmere was a place she would only ever see in pictures.

"I'll talk to Ray and plan when we can have a company trip there." Cedric said.

Suddenly Cedric saw a bright light at his peripheral, before he or anyone could react he felt like he had just hit a cement wall and everything went black.

At Pris Mall, Mia suddenly approached Adrianna who was looking at a pair of earrings.

"Madam, Mr. Cedric has been in an accident. We need to get you to a secure location now." Mia said.

Adrianna was shocked and just nodded. At the same time she saw Ayanna's security inform her as well. When their eyes met Adrianna wanted to cry. She might have been mad at Cedric but all of that was thrown out of the window now, all that was left was that she was worried about her husband.

The girls all calmly walked into the car, which with it's convoy sped to the Reyes home. As a precautionary measure, Emilio Reyes had sent an additional team to Pris Mall to protect the girls.

In the car Adrianna was quiet.

"Adri, I'm sure my brother is fine. Leon was with him and Leon is one of the best out there. Plus Cedric also knows how to defend himself." Ayanna tried to comfort her sister in law.

"Do we know what happened?" Adrianna asked.

"I don't yet. But I'm sure dad has all the details and he can explain it to us." Ayanna said, hoping that Adrianna would find comfort in her words.

"My brother said he is on his way to your house Ayanna, so are Ram and Ray." Katerina told Adrianna and Ayanna as she dropped her call.

"Eric said Miguel is in the hospital. We can't get through, but for some reason security around Miguel's hospital has been increased. My dad isn't saying anything about it." Nicole said with a worried look.

"That means they are probably taking Cedric there. Adri, it's probably nothing. Dad must just want to make sure that my brother is fine, just a check up." Ayanna said in an attempt to make Adrianna and herself feel less worried.

The roads in the capital had been cleared to allow the convoy to get to the Reyes Mansion uninterrupted, upon their arrival they found Priscilla Reyes in the living room together with Alexi, Ray, and Ram.

"Mom, what happened?" Ayanna asked as they arrived.

"Cedric was on his way home when a truck hit his car." Priscilla said within sobs.

Adrianna began to cry and fell into a seat. Ayanna came over and hugged her sister in law.

"He's in Saints Hospital now. Miguel is checking up on him." Alexi said as he approached Ayanna and Adrianna.

"I'll go over to Saints now to make sure that everything is in order." Nicole said in a serious tone.

"Are you looking into this?" Katerina asked Alexi.

"Yes. We were on a convoy back from the police station. It feels planned." Alexi explained.

"How is he?" Adrianna managed to ask.

"We haven't heard from Miguel or anyone in the hospital." Priscilla told her daughter in law.
