Thomas then stepped forward handing Noah his phone so he could properly assess the situation for himself.

Noah took the phone from Thomas and read the contents slowly, flicking back and forth between a few different news reports.

Noah smirked he knew his Ivy would never let anything go, she would always pay back any injustice she felt a thousand times over. This meant she had a game plan and she wasn't mad at him, she was only annoyed by Governor Anna.

He wanted to go straight to her to pull her against his body, to feel her small, warm body against his and hold and kiss her. But she wanted to punish him a little and he wanted to go along with her wishes. He held himself back and handed Aiden back his phone.

"Let's go." Noah wouldn't stay in the empty apartment alone there was no point, so he was going back to his company to work through the night. You don't have time to miss someone if you are busy. "Is Teo with Ivy?"

"Yes sir, should we swap him for Thomas instead?" Aiden asked not sure if he had made the wrong judgement call.

"No that's fine." With that Noah grabbed his phone and put on his jacket. He left his empty penthouse apartment with Thomas and Aiden following close behind him.

Meanwhile, Anna was sitting in a private room in an exclusive night club in the city centre. She was merrily drinking the night away with a few wealthy men.

One secretary of state, a few members of Parliament and a Wealthy CEO. All these men were powerful and wealthy. They had come from prominent families but they all had a few vices. These vices were given from the public, but here tonight they indulged in them. There was drinking, gambling and some young and pretty well paid escorts.

Anna surrounded herself with these men because of their power and contacts, she didn't necessarily agree or like being in their company but she had to in order to benefit from them. Over the years she had formed these contacts in order to be of use to her end goal Noah.

When the last Governor suddenly died she saw her opportunity to not only help Noah but she would be able to meet him regularly. So she jumped at the opportunity, of course, she was not the parliaments first choice and she needed at least eighty per cent of the votes.

A few she could bride, some she had to blackmail and even though she felt it was beneath her she slept with a few of them to get her the Governor position.

But wouldn't it all be worth it in the end if she could get Noah. She had loved and idolized him for many years now, he was the only man for her. He may not see it yet but he would with time.

She was now celebrating and drinking to her heart's content. She had of course heard rumours that the cold and distant CEO Noah Adler had a lover, she was shocked and angered when she had heard. She used her contacts to try to trace who the mystery woman was but they all came up with nothing.

The only thing she had heard was a rumour that Noah was fiercely protective of the mystery woman and not only would he kill for her she had found out that he had. The bodies would never be found but the rumours told of their torture before their death. Noah would take revenge for even the slightest injustice.

Anna seethed in rage that the mystery woman not only had all of Noah's affection, shared his bed and had his protection but she had his doting care and attention. He seemed to protect her no matter who he offended.

Seeing that she couldn't find out who the mystery woman was she came up with a plan to separate the two of them. She had to cause conflict between them and the best way to do that is to make the mystery woman jealous.

When she was invited to meet up with CEO Noah Adler she jumped at the opportunity. She went to an exclusive designer and bought a new dress, she then went to the beauticians. She had a full pamper day then got her hair and makeup done.

Happy with her look she had then arranged for a photographer to get any misleading photos to anger the mystery woman that she could.

When she met with Noah her heart raced, he was everything to her. He of course didn't let her near him so the photographs she could get were limited.

In the end, she was happy with the result and now was drinking to celebrate while she had hoped Noah and the mystery woman were fighting. A smile beamed across her face, she ordered another bottle of very expensive wine.

Knock Knock

A knock came at the private room door and she lifted her head and saw her female secretary Brie.

Brie approached while Anna continued to drink, she looked up at her secretary, "What is it?"

Anna thought it could only be good news, so she continued to drink.

Brie stammered, "Anna... I... I have to show you something."

Seeing her very nervous secretary Anna put down her wine glass and looked at the Epad that Brie had held out to her.

Anna glanced at the Epad and her eyes widened in shock, her hands shook as she gripped the Epad. On the Epad screen were several news headlines and reports with pictures. As Anna flipped through each new news item she became more furious.

Anna stood up and threw the Epad at the ground. Brie shrank back as Anna then began to explode she threw her Wine bottle then the glass, she screamed and shouted.

The men and escorts around her didn't bat an eye they were used to her dramatics.
