Noah looked out over the bright lights of the City from his office of the club he owned in the city centre. Tonight he would miss Ivys home cooked meal and the warmth that followed.

He had a meeting to take and he had to be discreet about it. His underworld deals were all done through the last Governor and now a new one was in charge. He had to meet them to secure his illegal and legal trade of weapons.

His thoughts went to his kitten as he stared into the twinkling night sky. She was out there working hard just as he was. They were both striving and hard working people, he was sure she would rise above all the rest and bring her fathers company to the forefront of investments.

His lips lightly curled as he thought of her determination, strength and independence. He wanted to help her, offer her advice, help her get her company stocks back. But he knew she would refuse him, she was fierce like that once she got her teeth into something she wouldn't let go.

"Sir... Anna has arrived." Aiden's voice woke him from his thoughts of Ivy. His smile disappeared and his cold indifference returned.

Noah turned and put on his suit jacket leaving his office and walking towards the VIP room of his club. He walked through the empty halls with Aiden by his side.

"Sir all the cameras are turned off and the staff have been told not to go in this area. The side door only has our guards." Aiden reported knowing his boss wanted this meeting kept low key.

"Let us keep this as brief as possible. I don't want any leaks." Noah strode towards the door, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Yes sir," Aiden said before he knocked on the VIP door and opened it wide for Noah.

Noah walked in and noticed that Anna had made herself comfortable. She smiled at him as he walked in and sat opposite her on the sofa. Aiden stood at his side.

Anna had short blonde hair, styled in a bob cut. She always wore business attire and yet here she was wearing a deep blue body con dress. Her ample breasts were on show and her long legs were lying across the sofa.

Noah was here for business but it seemed that she had other thoughts. Noah sneered in his heart. This is the type of woman he despised the most. She had power, influence and money from working in the government.

Now she was the Governor she would have a lot more at her disposal so she was obviously after his underworld power, contacts and influence. Noah sat forward, he was here strictly for business.

Anna looked like she had thought they could be more than business acquaintances he would rather lose all his illegal trade than do anything as disgusting as trade sexual favours with her. If it were Ivy, no problem with a kiss from her he would willingly give her his empire.

"I thought this would be a private meeting?" Anna looked at Aiden who stood at Noah's side like a Knight would protecting his King against an unwanted concubine.

"This is as private as I want this discussion to be. Aiden is my right hand so he stays." Noah responded coldly. He wasn't in the mood for games. He wanted to wrap this up and get home to Ivy. Since he had her in his life he returned home every night for dinner and hours of satisfying, mind blowing sex.

Anna laughed and put her feet on the floor she then crossed those long legs, trying to show off another seductive side of herself.

"At least take off your jacket and relax while we chat." She then smiled and leaned forward showing off her ample bust as she took a glass of champagne in her hand and sipped it.

Noah sneered in his heart, he preferred Ivys perky handful than this woman's large fake breasts. She should be showing off her mind than her skin, he detested this side of any business. If she wasn't the Governor he would never have to sit here right now.

Not wanting to prolong this meeting he fixed his suit jacket, "Let's get this started, Anna as the Governor you know what business I am in. As liaison for the government are you interested in keeping the business relationship I had with Governor Archer?"

Feeling frustrated Anna downed the champagne in one go and smiled, "The government of course wants to keep your original relationship as it benefits both sides. But I need more... assurance and time. Can you give me something to sweeten the deal?"

Noah watched as her lecherous eyes trailed his body hopeful and expecting. His eyes turned ruthless, "Let me make this clear we will have a business relationship and nothing more. In the past, I have told you before I don't play games."

Anna was furious and hid it behind her smile, "Just a little bit of fun?"

"No." Noah stood and fixed his suit jacket. "If our business is concluded we do not need to meet any further."

"Is there someone else? Why can't we give in to our needs and have a fun and business relationship?" Anna stood and reached for Noah.

Aiden caught her outstretched hand and then she flung of his arm.

Noah watched the interaction and frowned. "I will only do business with you. I am engaged to a woman that far superior to you in every aspect. Next time send your secretary, we do not need to meet again."

" Wait, wait what do you mean superior? Who is more superior than the Governor who can give you even more power than me? I can.." Anna was indignant that Noah had shut down her thoughts and told her he had someone that was better than her.

Noah smirked, "She gives me everything I need. Goodbye Anna." Noah strode out with Aiden flanking him.

They closed the door and walked straight out the side entrance and into his Bentley. Aiden got into the driver's seat.

"Where to Sir?" Aiden asked.

"Home," Noah responded and closed his eyes as he rubbed his temples. Anna would be trouble he thought.
