Knock knock

Doctor Stewart entered the bedroom.

"Ivy... We meet too often."

"Yes, we do Doctor Stewart, thanks for coming so quickly."

"It's my job and Noah is a long time friend."

Ivy left the room leaving Doctor Stewart too it. She joined the apprehensive Aiden and Thomas in Noah's office. They waited in silence.

After a while, Doctor Stewart came out of the office bedroom with his bag. He gave them a reassuring smile.

"How is he?"

Ivy was the first to step forward to ask about Noah's condition. She felt partly to blame.

"Noah has a fever, I have given him medication and attached an IV drip. He should wake up in a few hours. Rest and fluids are what he needs most now. Ivy continues to wipe his sweat and when he wakes give him the medicine and water on the bedside table. Good evening, I'll head back to the hospital. Call me if there is anything else."

"Thanks, doc."

Thomas was relieved that it wasn't anything untoward. With enemies and rats within their ranks, it could have been poison or something else.

"Doctor Stewart I will see you out."

Aiden led Doctor Stewart out and ivy went to the office bedroom. She sat on the bed beside Noah, taking off her shoes. She felt the dress was restricting her so she went to Noah's closet and picked out one of his tailored black shirts. She stripped off her dress, it slipped to the floor and she put on one of Noah's shirts leaving the top two buttons open. She then returned to Noah's side.

Ivy sat on the bed beside Noah while she waited for him to wake up she thought she would phone her dad to let him know they had to reschedule their dinner for another time.

Ring Ring

"Hi, dad."

"Ivy, are you on your way...i"

"Sorry, we will have to reschedule."

"Everything okay."

"Yes, it's just my partner is busy right now."

"Oh... Okay. Your not still mad are you?"

"No I'm not I have well and truly moved on. I will bring him to meet you next time."

"Good good. Ivy if you can give some thought to may be returning to work with me... Just think about it please."

"I will, good night. I will call you to reschedule."

"Take care Ivy."

Ivy sighed as she hung up, she felt guilty for letting her dad down. But she remembered that Noah had wanted to go with her so she could only make her dad wait for now.

She looked over to her sleeping lover, she would wipe down his sweat every now and then. A while later the IV had finished, she took out the needle and wiped his hand before applying a plaster. She took care of him for a long time but she soon became bored and started to play games on her phone while she waited.

After a while Noah woke up, he moved slightly the headache and chills he had been experiencing since morning were no longer persistent. Turning sideways, Noah noticed his tasty lover sitting beside him on her phone.

Her lovely toned legs were crossed over one another on his bed. She wore one of his black shirts. He had never seen her look so casual, so homey, so tasty. He wanted her now. He slid his fingers over her bare shapely leg.

"Your awake, how are you feeling?"

Ivys head snapped to look at her lover. He lay there looking sexy as hell. She reached up to check his forehead. His temperature had seemed to of gone. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"I feel better, did you nurse me back to health... All the while wearing my shirt? Aren't you tempting me as soon as I wake up?"

"My dress was too tight you pervert, I had to look after you and be comfy while doing it."

His hands went up to her slim legs and touched her flat stomach.

"Feel free to wear my shirts around the house from now on and if you want I can get you a nurses outfit."

"Not interested."

Ivy ignored his comments and let him touch her as he pleased as he was still a week and sick.

"Your recovering from a fever what you need is rest and to take your medicine."

Ivy handed him to tablets and the bottle of still water. He swallowed the tablets and drank half of the water. She watched his Adams apple bob and it made her gulp. Finishing his drink he set it back on the table.

"Okay come here then."

Noah sighed and pulled Ivy to his chest he lay on the bed and had Ivy lie across his chest. He played with her hair, curling around his fingers as a slight smile graced his lips.

Ivy could hear his strong heartbeat and relaxed she had been so worried now they could rest.

"What happened to dinner with your dad?"

"I phoned him, told him we had to do dinner another time. He asked me to think about returning to work with him."

"What are you thinking of doing?"

"I'm not sure, let's see how dinner goes."

"Don't worry, I will be with you."

Noah kissed Ivys head. She was happy he had said those words. He was a man of few words and but his actions always said everything she needed to hear. Today's words made her grateful.

Ivy sat up and touched his stumbly jawline, she gave him a tentative kiss which then leads into a much deeper and passionate kiss.

She hem lay back on his chest and thought of both of them going to work at the same time and coming home at the same time. CEO Noah Adler and CEO Ivy Hughes. It had its pros, she could stand side by side with Noah and not feel so inferior. Though no one could be Noah's level she could certainly keep up business-wise.

"Sleep."

Noah covered them with a blanket and turned off the bedside table lamp. Today had been a long day.
