Beep Beep Beep

Noah woke up and hit his alarm off as he didn't want to wake up Ivy. She lay blissfully sleeping on her stomach across his chest. Not wanting to wake her he slid out from under her. Noah put her hair behind her ears and kissed her lips. Ivy stirred but didn't waken, he had successfully made her sleep after a few rounds of lovemaking. His thin lips tilted up at the memory of last night. He was afraid that she wouldn't be able to sleep after everything that had happened so he had made her thoroughly exhausted enough to sleep.

Lifting the covers away, Noah stood up, only to sit on the bed again. He pressed his glabella and shut his eyes as he waited for the dizziness to subside.

Beside him, Ivy stirred and Noah had thought she had woken up but she simply turned to face the other way. Noah remained seated on the bed yet the dizziness showed no signs of receding. He gave up waiting, choosing to move into the bathroom for a shower instead. The moment he entered his shower and turned on the hot water he felt a chill spread all over his body, his muscles flinching at the feeling. He didn't know where this feeling came from all of a sudden.

He washed his powerful muscles with soap lathering up his well built and sculpted body. He felt the waterfall from his jet black hair and cascade down his body.

He thought of Ivy and what they had done the night before. It was necessary to aid her to sleep. She had experienced something he never wanted her to. His fists clenched and he leaned his head against the cold tiles, the water fell down his toned back and over his defined bottom. The cold tiles helped his sore head.

Remembering Ivy fighting back last night only now Noah thought that he had really killed Eric too quickly. Noah gritted his teeth at the thought of Ivy tied and bound by Eric, he couldn't go back to torture Eric again but luck was on his side and presented him with two of his own men that had helped Eric. Noah wanted to make an example of them and had asked his guards to watch the torture. The men who leaked information on him and offered it to Eric had paid dearly for their omissions. Noah smirked thinking they by now their bodies should have been carefully disposed of. There would be no funeral or grave for any man or woman that crossed his bottom line.

The two foolish guards cried, pleaded and repented but that would never earn Noah's respect or sympathy. Their fate was sealed the moment they went against Noah. Noah's thirst for revenge and wrath was unstoppable. He was only more enraged when he learnt that not only did they give out information to Eric they where also Erics back up plan. If Thomas hadn't played along and took Ivy to Eric, these two guards were supposed to capture and kill her. This sealed there merciless end.

All of his employee's backgrounds would be now thoroughly investigated. Noah had to make sure that there were no more rats, no more miscalculations. He wouldn't let this happen again. Ivy was his, his lover she should be pampered and not get involved in his darkness.

Noah had to get back to work, Aiden had helped him last night with his illegal activities but he had a legit and illegal business and it all had to be kept in order. He stepped out of the shower a chill went down his spine. He got fried and dressed quickly.

He looked over at his lover, Ivys steady breathing and relaxed eyebrows indicated a peaceful sleep. Noah smiled and then reluctantly strode out of the master bedroom, he saw Aiden standing waiting for him.

"Report."

"I have made a list of at least ten men and women that could easily be swayed with money. We have sent them anonymous emails to see if they bite."

Noah thought about it certainly looked like he had been lenient for too long. It was time to enforce some discipline in his subordinates.

"Good. Promote those who pass the test, those who fail... You know what to do."

"Yes sir."

"How are Thomas injuries?"

"Blood loss aside his injuries are healing, he will return to his duties in a few days. He asked to return I work today."

Noah nodded.

"Tell him to stay in hospital till he is cleared and that's an order."

"Yes sir."

Noah fixed his suit jacket and put on his coat. They both left Noah's apartment and entered the lift together. Aiden briefed Noah on his schedule which was as usual jam-packed with meetings all day long. They got out of the lift and entered the underground carpark.

Aiden opened Noah's car door and Noah got inside. His head pounded and he felt another chill. It was bright and sunny outside but he felt no warmth. He wished to return to his bed along with Ivy.

"Send Teo to look after Ivy today."

"Yes sir."

Noah leaned his head back and tried to rest. Today was going to be a long day.

A few hours later Ivy stirred as she heard her phone buzz. Her eyebrows furrowed and she flipped on to her stomach looking at the callers I.D.

"Hello."

"Ivy." The familiar male voice rang out.

Beep

Ivy dragged the phone number into her phones blocked list. She wanted nothing to do with Cole. Looking at the time on her phone, she decided to get up and get in the shower. She washed her tired limbs and let the hot water run over her body's curves, the heat helping her aching muscles. Noah had really played with her too much last night, she smiled as she then got out and got dried. She donned her usual black skinny jeans and band slogan t-shirt.

Heading for the living room she screamed seeing who sat on the sofa.
