Noah watched Ivy lying there, her breathing was normal and she just looked like she was sleeping. She had an IV drip attached to her hand and Dr Stewart said she would wake in a few hours. Thinking this Noah went to the bathroom he had a shower and changed into the pyjama bottoms Ivy had left out for him. He sat on the bed and stared out into the nights sky.

He thought about everything from the start. Ivy was his wild cat, his warmth, his light he needed her everything. He would not let her leave but he didn't know how to make her want to stay. He would never use force with her, he couldn't and it would make her want to leave him even more. ​​

Meanwhile Ivy woke up staring at a white ceiling and the dark night sky illuminating the room, she recognised this room immediately. How was she back here. She lifted her arm to rub her eyes when she looked and saw an IV drip then she looked over and saw Noah's large muscular back. Everything came back to her, any other day she would wrap her arms around his waist but today she didn't know what to do. She wasn't ready for this conversation. She ripped the IV out and began to rush off the King size bed.

Noah turned hearing the rustling behind him. He saw Ivy rip out her IV and he scowled he also saw her intentions to leave him again. He got angry because her first thoughts when she woke was to run again. He grabbed her and pinned her to the bed, his large frame covering hers.

"let me go you damm pervert. I'm not your damm mistress." She blurted out hurtful words just so she could run. Even though her heart wanted him to hold her, her mouth said the opposite.

Noah's anger surged, he pinned Ivy's arms up over her head with one hand and the other went to her pyjama top unbuttoning it. "If your my mistress you better be good and please me." Noah then roughly kissed and nipped her skin. His hands were rough as he grabbed her bruised waist.

"Agh that hurts."

Ivy had been beaten not so long ago so every move hurt her. She started to cry in embarrassment and pain. She had hated this whole situation but didn't know how to fix it so she began to cry and struggle more.

Noah sighed and released Ivy he then sat up facing the window again with his hands in his hair. After a while Ivy heard Noah speak. "I'm sorry."

Those two words shook Ivy she never heard the man apologise and never thought he would. "For what?." She said in a small voice, she wiped her tears of her cheeks.

"For everything." Noah kept his head lowered.

Ivy went to Noah and leant her head against his big strong back. She couldn't say this to his face but it had to be said.

"I don't want to feel like a mistress you use for relief, I know we are compatible in bed but ."

"A mistress is not worth the things I do for you only my lover is." Noah was hurt and angry that Ivy felt this way. He wanted her to be happy and do everything she wants, except leave his side.

She was happy but she had to ask again.

"My family don't hurt them again."

"Its not my intention." He looked up then hoping that this was the turning point in their argument.

"And the listening device." Ivy sat opposite Noah now.

"There was only that one, it was installed before you and has been removed now."

"But."

"No buts, not any more you have to stay with me you are mine forever." His deep cello voice melted her heart, she would ask no more of her man tonight.

Ivy for the first time initiated a kiss, she was too impatient to wait for Noah. She grabbed his face and turned it towards hers. She kissed him with everything she had and hoped that he felt her sincerity. He promised her she was his, his only lover. She accepted that, she didn't want more than to know she had some place in his heart even if it wasn't love as long as he had wanted her as much as she wanted him.

Noah was relieved, he kissed Ivy back and was careful with her not to touch her back or sides. He held her and kissed her, he had missed this and didn't want to ever be alone again. He got a taste of his old life in the last twenty four hours and he didn't enjoy it.

He swept her up and heard her light giggle. He headed for the bathroom she needed to bathe properly after sweating the fever out of her system and being in that horrible cell. He filled the bath and watched as Ivy sat there at the side of the bath lit candles and added her Lavender bath oils.

This was the warmth he got back as soon as he got his Ivy back she had everything he lacked. As the bath filled he took off his clothes and climbed in and Ivy did the same. She leaned against his chest and then turned her head to kiss him. She was his light and she needed his darkness in order to shine brightly.
