After we left the church, I was still perplexed as to why we had to wait to be able to do the process of learning the magic of light. I don't know the process, but I don't think you need to make preparations that take so long to do that.
'Since she's been through this, I can ask her.' I thought about how much Sylphe was smiling, who was smiling beside me. It looks like she's thrilled and I'm glad to see that, but now I have something more important to ask her.
She had to know how they did it to teach light magic or something because she's done it before, right? And I was wondering what it was like because I didn't believe I needed so much preparation to do that.
"Sylphe, you went through this process to learn the magic of light, right?" I asked her while stopping walking. We were already a little far from the church, so I think it was okay to talk about it here.
Two of a little thinking, her final started talking.
"Well, I went through this process, but it was immediately, and after doing the process, it was my choice to work in the church for a while to pay the costs," Sylphe answered happily.
This is interesting, and it seems that I won't need to work in the church just because I learned the magic of light.
Sylphe had no money, so she agreed to work as a priestess of the church. Sylphe also said she was penniless when she arrived here and did not have the three silver coins to pay the priest, so she agreed to work in the church.
She said she did not do much church work, and she only gave information to the people who went to church and also prayed with the priest during the weekly church prayers.

'I have never been to either of these times.' I never went to any prayer, actually never even got to the church door, so I didn't know the priestesses did things like that.
It seems that she also did the cleaning and many other things like that. Well, was she a church maid? I think it's the surest term to put it.
But she was working to pay her debt to the church, so I don't think she can put herself that way, she wasn't working as a slave but because she wanted to and was needed.
I have money to pay for everything so I won't have to work, but it's still a little strange having to wait so long to do this process to learn light magic, it seems that Sylphe did it immediately when she decided to learn.
'Is he doing just for me?' That look he gave me made me a little uncomfortable, and now I'm worried he's up to something.
I know it's a little disrespectful to think things like that of a priest, but even so, that was bizarre, and me being the only one who will do different things leaves me wondering if I should trust him.
"Why didn't he want to do the process right away and want to do it tomorrow morning?" I decided to ask Sylphe to see if she had any idea what was going on.
Sylphe put her mother on her chin and started walking again, and I kept walking beside her too. I waited for her answer, but she answered me negatively, she said she had no idea but that I could trust the priest that he treated her very well when she worked at the church.
'It makes me even more confused.' A person who treats all other people well but puts his whole hatred in his gaze at me makes me even more confused by all this.

Well, if he tries to do something, I have to have a plan because I don't beat him hard. I can use powerful spells like Solar Hell to finish him in an instant, but if I do that, the church will be torn down, and I'm sure of it.
When I have in church and have to use an attack like this, there may be innocent people inside the church who will end up injuring themselves needlessly. I hate this very protective side of me.
If I wasn't overprotective, I might as well blow up the whole church if he did something, but I'm not like that.

The Alteric Empire was vast and powerful. Their borders reached to all coasts of the continent, and their banner swayed in the wind of every town. 8 197I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!

Grimm is alone a lot, his parents aren't the responsible type. His life changes when someone else's ends. This author is bad at writing synopsis.Just a story I've been working on. Its also my first one so if you see any errors do feel free to point them out.
