The couple stepped into the elevator before everyone's gaze and turned around.

This was when Lina noticed that Talia was no longer at the desk but had already left the building.

'I hope she understands the message that I was trying to send to her.' Lina wished that she had succeeded in her task.

She had spoken about the seafood that she wanted to eat for lunch to let Talia know that Reuben was going to eat out with her.

Though she felt evil for rubbing it in that woman's face, she hoped that Talia would stop having reckless thoughts in her head about Reuben any longer.

He was now her boyfriend and she would not tolerate anyone else trying to eye him right in her presence.

Lina snapped out of her thoughts when the doors of the elevator were beginning to shut which made her place her foot between the doors to stop it.

"Benji, hurry up!" She called out to her assistant who had not yet entered the elevator which would lead them to Reuben's floor.

Mathew and Benji stood rooted outside the metallic box without any intentions of stepping inside.

The biggest reason for this was the man who stood next to Lina, glaring daggers at them.

Mathew had been serving his Emperor for quite a few years, hence he was aware of what was going on in the big man's mind at this moment.

'Step inside and your leave gets canceled.' Reuben smirked at the assistant who gulped in fear as he adjusted the tie around his neck.

"Benji and I will use the other elevator so please carry on." Mathew requested as he held the other assistant's hand to pull him away.

However, he had forgotten who Benji was. The muscular man did not move an inch even when Mathew was exerting all of his strength to drag him away.

He would go nowhere without his Boss' instructions and with this thought in mind, he stood his ground.

His eyes soon met Lina's who gave him a subtle nod as she moved her feet away from the door, indicating that he could leave with Mathew.

Rolling his eyes, he took a step forward, and the man who had been trying to yank him all along almost fell to the floor after feeling him move.

This comic scene of Mathew grabbing onto Benji's sturdy arm to not plant his ass on the floor was the last thing she saw before the doors of the elevator shut.

Lina turned to her right and tilted her head up to look at the man who was looking back at her.

"Mr. Ming wanted to be alone in the elevator with me. What for?" She interrogated as an evil smile appeared on her face.

She had glimpsed at the silent threats that he had been sending the poor assistant and this was why she had asked Benji to follow Mathew instead of joining them.

Reuben was embarrassed that his girlfriend was so keen and had caught him red-handed.

However, the rate at which he recomposed himself was admirable.

A sly and devilish grin appeared on his face which made the woman's smirk fade.

"To be alone with you in this closed space until we reach the thirtieth floor." He whispered in a low and gruff voice as he stepped closer to her.

Lina retreated but within two steps, her back had touched the cold metallic wall of the elevator.

Having no place to escape, she could only watch as the man stepped closer until his body was touching hers.

They were inside his private elevator, the key to which only belonged to him and Mathew so there was no way that anyone could disturb them on their ride to the top floor.

Glancing at the panel on the corner, the number four denoted that they had time alone to travel the next twenty-six floors with zero disturbance.

"I wanted to kiss you when I saw you downstairs." He growled into her ears, sending shivers running down her spine.

Lina recalled him speaking those same words when they were in the waiting room so she did not doubt their authenticity.

At that time, she had responded with 'Soon' and now it seemed that it was time to keep her promise.

"So what is stopping you?" She whispered, imitating him as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Ever since their 'activity' last night, Lina was feeling shy yet comfortable with this man who was inching closer to her.

"So bold!" He muttered as a boyish excitement took over him.

The next moment, Lina let out a sudden yelp which could not reach outside the elevator for sure thanks to its soundproofing.

"Ruby!" She clamored and clung to his body, afraid to fall to the floor.

This fear was due to the height that she was on at this moment.

Reuben smirked as he gripped her upper thighs which he had used to lift her off the floor.

Lina did not waste any time and wrapped her legs around his torso just as her hands were around his neck.

At face level, the two stared into each other's eyes as their faces drew closer.

Lina's trousers were perfect to pull off the move that Reuben had made after careful consideration.

She blushed when she realized that this was the reason why he had sent their assistants away.

Reuben knew what she was about to say and before she could complete the sentence he shut her up with his kiss.

Lina was surprised to feel his abrupt kiss but she was not one to back down.

Therefore, she pulled her body closer to his which pressed her perky breasts against his muscular and sturdy chest.

Reuben stepped forward with her still in his arms as he pressed her back against the wall.

Reuben glanced at the tiny panel which now displayed the number 28.

With his Kitten still in his arms, he turned around which only made her cling closer to his body.

Taking his steps towards the panel of buttons, Reuben pressed a bright red one and in the next second the elevator stopped moving.

Lina stared at the crafty man with her eyes wide open as she tried her best to not let her smile appear.

"Now we have all the time in the world." He announced and went back to what he had been doing before she had interrupted them.

This time, Lina threw caution to the wind and went with the flow.

Biting her lip, she watched as he pushed her against the wall once again before crashing his lips on hers.
