Lina woke up with a smile after a good night's sleep, stretching her arms she yawned and sat up in her bed.

"Hmmm…" She hummed in satisfaction of the pleasant sleep she had the previous night.

Ruffling her already messed up hair, she flexed her neck muscles with her eyes closed.

The young lady then threw the covers aside and took a long breathe in before placing her feet on the floor.

Glancing at the time displayed on the clock, she nodded that she had sufficient time to get to work and finally hopped off the bed.

'An hour before I need to be at the office.' She commented as she stepped towards the bathroom.

Lina finished her morning routine and applied lotion as she walked out of the bathroom.

Today would be her last day at the office for the near future as she would go into closed-door cultivation after receiving the new and true designs for the Winter Collection from Stephen in the afternoon.

As she stood before the wardrobe, she scanned her eyes across the different attires arranged in perfect order as she decided on what to wear for the day.

"I have to meet Ruby for lunch so let's wear something pretty." She nodded after making this decision.

For today's outfit, Lina chose a plunging V-neck Tee black shirt with a sturdy blue jean jacket over it.

She paired the top with black distressed jeans and black ankle boots.

"I won't stay in the office for long so it doesn't matter that I am wearing these clothes." She shrugged as she twirled before the mirror to appraise her outfit.

As Lina was not going in for work today, but rather to fetch the designs from Stephen, she did not bother to wear work-appropriate clothes.

The delinquent biker style clothes that she had chosen today were definitely not an outfit meant to be worn for work.

She had just gotten herself out of the mess that Maxene had created and the very next day she was about to skip work.

However, this was something that she couldn't avoid and therefore she had thought of the perfect excuse for missing work for the next few days.

As she did not have any equipment to style her hair and she wasn't even that skilled in doing so, she simply combed her hair and decided to put her hair up in a tight and high ponytail.

"Gloss!" She yelled out and leaped forward to grab the kiwi mango-flavored cherry red lip gloss which she applied generously over her lips.

Satisfied with the look that she had achieved, she smiled and nodded while picking up her phone before heading towards the door.

Just as Lina had pushed the door open, the man who also lived in this penthouse apartment exited his room.

A few seconds passed, as they stayed still after making eye contact with each other from the other side of the house.

'Sugoi!' She exclaimed as she took in the appearance of the man who was ready to start his day of work after a long absence.

Reuben had worn a black suit with a white shirt on the inside with his signature diamond cufflinks which sparkled when the sun's rays hit it.

His hair was combed to the side and he looked like the prim and proper CEO that he was known to be.

The man had just left his room and the first thing that caught his eye was his Kitten who seemed to be dressed to kill rather than for a boring day at the office.

While she was appreciating the beautiful image of the man, he was doing just the same to her.

The woman was the first to snap out of her trance as she coughed and headed in his direction.

Reuben was quick to follow as he imitated her actions and came closer to her.

The two met at the kitchen which was the midpoint for them and stopped as they stared into each other's eyes.

Reuben took this chance to take a better look at his Kitten and smirked when he saw that she looked like a biker chick rather than an office worker like she should have.

Lina blushed when she noticed the scrutinizing gaze that was roaming over her entire body.

"Beautiful." He muttered as he leaned closer to his Kitten.

The man was swift in his actions and the very next second, Lina felt his lips pressed against hers.

She had been expecting him to whisk her away into a breathtaking kiss but that wasn't what she received from him.

Lina opened her eyes after she felt him just press his lips against hers following which he broke their chaste kiss and stepped away from her.

Reuben adjusted the silver tie that was around his neck as he stepped into the kitchen.

As they did not have much time for him to cook anything for breakfast, he decided to make them a cup of coffee instead.

"Sugar?" He questioned while glancing at the woman who stood with her lips pouted in disgruntlement.

Reuben chuckled when he saw her displeased appearance as he knew what the cause for that might be.

"Two." Lina muttered as she took her seat on the chair by the kitchen island.

'He did not kiss me properly today.' She grumbled as she fidgeted with her phone while he prepared coffee for them.

Reuben came back with a tray of cookies and the two cups of coffee placed on it.

Lina stayed silent as she sipped the warm cup of coffee while picking up the cookie that he had been so kind as to bring out for her.

"You want me to get us delayed for work?" The man who sat next to her whispered in her ear as he bit her ear.

The shuddering woman was quick to understand what he meant by those words.

If Reuben had kissed her like how they had done last night then they would be delayed for sure as either he would have to take a cold shower or she would be left dazed and weak in the knees.

Lina blushed when she was reminded of how wild their kisses were and shook her head in answer to his question.

"Ruby cannot be late on his first day of work after staying back at home for so many days." She mumbled and continued sipping the coffee.

Reuben smiled at his obedient and understanding Kitten and patted her head in approval of her words.

"I won't disappoint when we meet for lunch." He smirked as he whispered in her ear and moved away to sit straight on his chair.

Lina remained silent as her cheeks turned beet red after comprehending the deeper meaning hidden in his words.

'What is he planning for lunch?' She tried to guess what he had been scheming but could not figure things out.

The couple soon finished their light breakfast while Lina continued to decipher what he might be planning to do but to no avail.

"I'll take you to your office." He offered as he rose from his seat and picked up their empty cups.

Lina had no objections to his kind offer and nodded in agreement as she dialed Benji's number to inform him about the same.
