Lina's heart rate was increasing with every inch that Reuben moved closer to her.

'Arghhh! Did I just acknowledge that I like what I see?' She screamed in her mind when she realized what she had just agreed to.

However, by the time she had come back to her senses, she could feel Reuben's breath over her lips.

Reuben closed his eyes when his lips were about to touch hers, he was about to get the kiss that he had been desperately waiting for.

Lina noticed his eyelashes fluttering before they closed which prompted her to close hers as well.

Sadly, this did not last for long as she soon reopened her eyes and stared at him.

"How's your cold, Ruby?" Her whisper succeeded in stopping him in his tracks as his eyes opened in a flash.

His dark eyes were glaring down at the woman who just had to ruin this romantic mood that he had set as he was about to claim his long-awaited kiss.

Moving his face away by a few inches, he took in the view of her flushed cheeks which gave him the much-needed patience to deal with her.

"Gone." He muttered a single worded reply to her question and leaned closer once again.

Who would have thought that Lina was such a mood killer that she had more to ask when his lips were a hair's breadth away from hers.

"No fever? No coug- Umnpf!" Lina's words were cut off by the lips which had finally found their destination.

Reuben had captured her lips in a kiss to stop her from speaking any further as the romantic atmosphere around them which remained would also soon dissipate if he did not act quickly.

Lina's widened eyes relaxed as she felt his lips on hers, making all other thoughts disappear from her mind.

Her palms rested on his warm but naked chest as his strong arms encircled her slender waist.

The kiss which had begun with modest pecks and kisses soon escalated as Reuben parted his lips and slipped his tongue out.

Her lips were his to touch and feel and he made her know of this fact as he licked her lips which resulted in his Kitten parting hers as well.

Since this was not the first time that Lina had frenched him, she wasn't all that startled and soon got used to it.

She twirled her tongue around his and even went as far as sucking on his tongue which drove the young man insane.

Tightening his grip on her hips, he pulled her closer and began kissing her back with equal if not more passion than what she could handle.

However, Lina was not one to back down as she kept up with his pace while wrapping her arms around his neck.

The little space that had been between their bodies had now been reduced to nothing and their bodies clung to each other, seeking and embracing the warmth they felt in the other person's arms.

There was no thought in their minds at this moment. Only the desire to show each other how much they enjoyed and needed each other's touch.

Lina tried her best to keep up with the man's stamina but in the end, she ran short of breath and had to break their longest kiss ever.

Her heavy breathing was the only sound in the room that made them feel as though they were the only people in this little world.

Reuben did not mind her action of ending their kiss, instead, he rested his forehead on hers and caressed her cheeks.

The look of indulgence in his eyes made Lina blush as she raised her hand and used her thumb to wipe his lip which was glistening with their saliva that had mingled during this breathtaking kiss they shared.

All thoughts about his cold or fever had vanished from Lina's mind and all she could think of was how loud the sound of her heartbeat was.

Her mind had turned to mush and the entire credit for this feat belonged to her boyfriend who turned out to be a great kisser, entrancing her and dragging her further into the kiss until she was left breathless.

Reuben smiled at his Kitten who had helped him by wiping his lips and hence decided to reward her with another kiss.

This time it was a simple kiss with their lips pressed together for a few seconds before he separated from her.

Lina's blush which had been in response to his kiss and his caring gesture was now because of a whole different matter.

'Something is touching me…' She realized and was sure that whatever it was, wasn't his hand as they were still holding her cheeks.

She bit her lip and then glanced between their bodies only to find a huge tent in the towel that was wrapped around his waist.

The embarrassment he felt at this moment was insurmountable as he stepped away from her.

'Stop it!' Lina chided herself and controlled the laughter which was about to burst from her lips after she had noticed this change.

'The hell!?' Reuben groaned when he realized that he had popped a boner during their kiss.

The couple turned away as they tried to recompose themselves which was particularly hard for Reuben to do since he was hard…

"I will be right back." He whispered before entering the washroom once again.

Once Lina made sure that he had entered and locked the door, she plopped on his bed and pressed her face into his pillow as she let out her loud laughter.

Her muffled noises were not heard inside the bathroom and Lina was saved from his glares.

'What had I come over to do and what am I doing!?' She scoffed at her lust-filled mind which had forgotten the main purpose for coming over.

Inside the bathroom, Reuben was splashing cold water on his face and thinking of pure and holy thoughts to calm his head and stop the blood which was rushing over to a certain part of his body.

The mere embarrassment of getting hard just by kissing his girlfriend and her noticing it had calmed him down by a large percentage.

Now the breathing exercises he was utilizing were helping him further to improve his awkward situation.

He knew that if he wished for it then he could demand Lina to advance in their physical relationship but he had refrained from doing so as he wished for her to initiate the next step.

'I promised that I will not touch her in that way until she pounces on me, demanding to feel my touch.' He recalled the earlier promise he had made to her.

This memory reminded him of what he had planned and hence he was able to regain his composure sooner than expected.

Having accomplished what he had come in here for, he entered the door which led to his wardrobe.

This wardrobe of his had two entrances, one from the bedroom and one from the bathroom.

Today, he had used the rarely used bathroom entrance and ventured into his wardrobe to find some appropriate attire instead of the towel that he had been sporting until now.

Glancing at his properly covered body, he used his fingers to comb his hair before turning the knob on the door which led to his bedroom.

The scene that he had come back to was his girlfriend hugging his pillow as she let out soft chuckles and rolled around in his bed.

'She seems to be enjoying my misery a little too much.' He sneered and tiptoed towards her.
