Reuben stretched his hand in the air and flexed his fingers, smiling like an idiot as he recalled what had happened in the morning.

Last night after Wade had explained what the plan was to deal with the people who had dared to mess with his Kitten, he and Benji left the penthouse.

Though the big brother was reluctant to leave his baby sister here at her boyfriend's place, Wade did not have any other options since she had insisted on staying back.

The case of the car's brakes being tampered with had not yet been solved and hence he had not argued with her any further and let her stay back.

Though before he left, he glared at Reuben and whispered something in his ears.

"You think of even touching Nana… " He did not complete the threat but Reuben could feel the menacing aura emanating from his body.

'Kitten and I have already had this talk and I don't need you to interfere!' That was what he wanted to say.

But doing so would cause unnecessary trouble for him and hence he decided against it.

"I am sick and you… are a pervert!" Reuben retorted as he used the same voice level to make sure that Lina did not hear their heated interactions.

After Wade left them alone and went back to Luo Residence, Lina and Reuben had a quiet dinner that Benji had sent for them.

Though the assistant was not on talking terms with his boss, he did not wish for her to starve and hence he cooked something for them which they appreciated.

Soon they wished each other good night and went to their respective bedrooms to get some rest.

When Reuben had woken up after a good night's sleep, though he felt slightly sluggish his condition was much better than the day before yesterday.

As he made his way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for himself and his girlfriend who had stayed over, he hummed in glee at how pleasant he felt.

'This is the first time that we have spent the night under the same roof with just the two of us.' He excitedly exclaimed as he walked ahead.

After he had finished preparing oatmeal for himself and french toast with a strawberry smoothie for his Kitten, Reuben placed them on a tray and moved towards her bedroom.

Standing outside the door, he knocked and waited patiently for her to answer but even after a few minutes he heard complete silence coming from inside.

He balanced the tray in one hand and upon pushing the door open, he found that there was no one inside.

'Where did she disappear to?' He wondered after making sure that she was not in the bathroom.

He returned the tray to the kitchen and decided to take a look around the house to check whether she had ventured somewhere after waking up.

True to his expectations, he found Lina in another part of the house but what he saw made him freeze in the very same position.

Before his eyes was a woman who had just stepped out of the pool as the morning rays cast a golden glow on her.

Water dripping from her body, Lina shook her head and combed her fingers through her hair to get them out of her face.

Once the hair had been wrung and neatly combed by just using her fingers, she shook the water off her hands and looked up.

This was when Lina noticed that there was someone else around her.

The first reaction she had was to glance down at her wet body and then at the man who had not stopped staring at her.

Of course, Reuben could not take his eyes off of Lina even if he wanted to.

The black bralette bikini top she had on right now clung to her damp skin, making the shape of her breasts to be more evident than ever before.

Reuben gulped as his eyes traveled lower and were met with her shapely thighs clad in cyan high-waisted bikini shorts.

'I think I am about to get a nosebleed!' He remarked in a panic when he saw that this gorgeous woman was walking in his direction.

Lina had been struck by a storm of panic once she noticed Reuben gazing at her but soon that scary sensation disappeared.

The reason for this change in her emotions was the look of awe she discovered in his eyes.

The confidence she gained just by observing the astonishment and reverence he had displayed as though she was a being to be worship made her step further towards him.

"Hand me the towel, Ruby." She requested while smiling with her hand extended towards him.

Reuben fumbled around after hearing her words and faltered to hand her the towel which was placed on the table which was right next to where he stood.

After receiving the towel, Lina stood in the same spot as she began wiping her body dry.

The little devil inside her brain wished to see more of these awe-filled expressions from her adorable boyfriend and hence she continued to stay right there.

'Holy shit!' Reuben exclaimed in surprise when he noticed Lina turning her back towards him.

The tattoo of the wolf howling at the moon was clear to his eyes and he did not blink to miss out on the beauty that stood before him.

"Help me wipe my back~" Lina's coy voice made him freeze once again.

He took a step closer and with trembling hands, he accepted the damp towel from her.

The hands continued trembling as the towel touched the smooth skin on her back and slid it lower.

Lina's shudder was evident when his hand moved to her lower back.

"Ruby…" A soft whimper had escaped her mouth before she knew it, making both of them turn redder than what they already were.

That soft whimper made Reuben's innocent mind to heat up as he placed his palm over her hip, holding her in place as he continued to wipe her back dry.

All this while, there was always the towel that separated their bodies but now Reuben's hand was right on her skin with no barrier between them.

'What have I gotten myself into!?' Lina cried out when she felt shivers running down her spine after feeling his touch on her body.
