The first thing Reuben Ming after he was done with his work was to text Lina.

*Just got out of a tedious meeting. I wish I could just rest in my bathtub and forget about my troubles!*

He had a tiresome day at work and the only thing he wished to do once he was back home was to get in the bath and then his bed.

However, he knew that this dream of his would not be plausible since he had a lot of files and contracts to peruse before the next business day began.

So when he reached home he freshened up real quick, following which he headed to his home office and picked up the first file laid on the desk.

Since Reuben often liked to stay back and complete his work as he had a very minimum social life compared to the other young masters, he would ask Mathew to leave so as to not hinder his time with his pregnant wife.

Mathew Kim would then bring the remaining files over after his shift and place them in his home office following which he would run home to meet his wife.

Thinking of Assistant Kim's wife, he was reminded of a crucial fact that would soon affect his daily life.

"Olive is close to her due date now." Reuben recalled the phone call he had received from his mother in this regard.

She had commanded him to approve Assistant Kim's application for a two-month leave which was labeled 'Paternity Leave'.

Reuben shook his head when he was informed about this bizarre request but he had already decided to graciously grant his assistant a fully paid two-month long vacation so that he might focus on his wife and future child.

There when his mother called and attempted to threaten him, he readily agreed because that was his plan all along.

To let his assistant enjoy his time with his wife and child.

'The very thought of that manchild taking care of another newborn child scares me.' He felt sorry for his foster sister, Olive who had to handle them both.

'A child…'

Thinking of this matter, Reuben was reminded of the daydream he had when he was talking to his grandpa about his feelings for Lina.

'Would our child be like the one I had imagined?' His thoughts linger on the beautiful visage of the chubby meat bun who was handed over to him before Lina had stomped out of the room.

Thinking of the baby, he was reminded of the baby's momma, his lovely girlfriend.

He did not waste any time and picked his phone to check if she had replied to the messages that he had sent.

Sadly, he was left stranded with an empty notification bar which proved that his Kitten had not yet replied to his texts.

'She must be busy…' He tried to placate his heart and decided to take his mind off the wait by reading his files.

Exactly half an hour later, he checked his phone and seeing the same result he pouted feeling abandoned.

Just as Lina had deduced, Reuben had been sending her messages every half hour to not scare her or freak her out.

He debated whether he should send her another text or not.

'Oh, what the hell! Let's do it!' He encouraged himself and then typed another message.

*Done with today's work at the office! Time to work at home!*

Satisfied with what he had written, he hit send and then set the phone aside.

He then concentrated on his work which soon came to an end.

Having completed going over the files for today his work in his home office was considered done.

He was used to swimming in the evening rather than in the morning after his fitness trainer had asked him to switch up his workout routine.

Therefore, for the last few days, he had been working out in the morning and swimming at the night.

Getting out of his home clothes, he washed up and then walked barefoot to the indoor pool in his penthouse apartment.

The moonlight merged with the city lights coming from the large floor to ceiling glass windows and enchantingly lit up the dark area.

However, Reuben needed more brightness to be safe in the pool therefore he switched the lights on and illuminated the entire pool zone.

He smiled while looking at the serene waters and even though he was a few feet away from the pool, he dropped the bathrobe on the floor and then walked towards it.

The swimming trunks were the only clothing that covered his body, leaving everything visible.

Sadly, there was no soul in sight there to feast on his sculpted and ripped body as his feet came to a halt at the edge of the pool.

Taking a deep breath, he dove into the water and swam halfway across the pool before coming up to draw his breath.

He swam with such ease and elegance that it would make anyone just stare at the show and put them in a trance.

If Lina was here to witness this glorious scene then she would surely pull her phone out to capture this heavenly image and treasure it as an invaluable keepsake.

Reuben swam across the pool and completed multiple laps before deciding to end his swim session for the day.

He swam to the edge of the pool and after placing his hands on the boundary, he pushed his body upwards following which he swiftly rose to his feet.

The lights fell on his body as he stepped out of the pool and the dripping wet and glistening body could make anyone stop and stare.

He slowly walked to the table where his phone and a neatly folded towel had been placed.

Though he was tempted to pick up his phone and check for any new notifications, he set aside his intense curiosity and picked up the towel.

Soon, he started wiping his body dry and smirked when he felt the rock hard abs on his abdomen and the strong biceps on his arms.

In the novel that he had read in Wade's office, he had rolled his eyes when the author had gone to great lengths and used a lot of word space to give a detailed explanation about the Male Lead, the CEO's physical description.

'Rock hard abs, Sculpted body and chiseled jawline.' He repeated the three things that he had come across various times in the span of the limited chapters that he had read.

He then placed the wet towel aside and looked up towards a mirror not far away from where he was standing.

He had always hated his mirror because he felt that it spoiled the aesthetic of his house.

But today, he observed that this was the perfect spot to look at oneself after they got out of the pool.

Glancing over his body, he raised his chin in arrogance, pleased with what he noticed.

"I fit that criteria perfectly. I just need to find a chance to show this to Kitten." He smirked and ran a finger through his chest down to the very last ab.

He then picked up his phone after making sure that his hands were completely dry.

A sigh left his lips before he was even aware of it when he saw the equally dry notification bar.

For a man of his level and power, he most certainly had a weak social life.

"One last time." He decided and while typing the last message he walked towards his room.

He did not bother covering up since he was the only one in the house and there was no need to bother wasting another bathrobe.

He quickly picked up another bathrobe after rummaging through his wardrobe and headed for the bathroom.

Reuben Ming had just gone for a swim in his exquisite pool but the need to end his day with a warm and relaxing bubble bath could never be replaced by anything else.

Hitting all the right buttons, he got the machine started and poured his favorite bubble bath liquid soap into the warm water that had filled the tub.

The foamy mess inside the tub brought a smile to his indifferent and cold face.

He safely placed the phone on the little table by the tub that held the towels he would need later and stood straight before the large mirror installed beside the sink.

He was pleased with the results of the continuous workout that were quite visible right now in his semi-naked state.

"The only man with a better body than mine would be Kitten's assistant, Benji." He praised and pouted at the same time.

He would surely be a jealous man if he had not witnessed the pure friendship between the two who worked with each other every day.

Reuben took a deep breath and pushed out any negative emotions before they could take root in his mind.

"Trust is one of the main foundations of any relationship." He asserted another one of his Grandpa's wise words.

Aloysius Ming was the one to train Reuben on how to overtake the family business and had put him through rigorous training from a young age.

He even had to go through a phase that his grandfather jokingly called 'Closed Door Cultivation'.

This was the time that he had spent away from his family and had zero contact with the outside world until he came back at the age of 18.

"Then I met Kitten." He gushed and then pulled down his swimming trunks.

He had noticed something recently, no matter what the thoughts in his mind… They somehow would end at this woman named Lina Yang who seemed to have taken his life and his brain by a storm.

Stepping out of the trunks, he dipped his finger into warm water and nodded when the temperature was just right.

He promptly got into the tub and then sighed in satisfaction.

Letting the muscles in his body to release all the stress built up in them, he closed his eyes and smiled.

His hand ran lazily over his shoulders and then to his neck where he used slight pressure to massage himself in order to relieve the soreness he felt after a long day of continuously looking down at the laptop or the files.

'How great would it be if Kitten was here… Giving me a massage with her small yet soft fingers' He grinned and hoped for such a beautiful dream to soon come true

While Reuben was grinning like an idiot as he imagined doing ecchi stuff with Lina, someone was pouting in hopes of getting some useful results from the mess that she had created.

"Tell me who did this to you, baby!?" Burt Liang interrogated while gnashing his teeth against each other.
