The dinner had ended and Lina bid goodbye to her cousins and uncles.

She had her room booked upstairs and wanted to spend the Sunday at the spa in La Lumière.

"Be careful and call me if you need anything." Uncle Pat hugged her and then let her go.

When Lina entered the elevator, she waved at them and the door closed.

"You seem really close to her."

The men turned around when they heard a voice.

They were still in the lobby and few of the guests were still remaining. One of them was Renee Ming who stood and stared at Patrick Yang with her brows raised.

"And what's with the mystery costume, huh? Wade?" She turned towards Wade and smiled playfully.

Wade was shocked that she had recognized him but how could she not, when she had spent so much time with the boys when they were younger.

"Aunt Renee is still as sharp as ever!" He praised her and reached out for a hug.

Wade did not greet them on purpose because that would raise people's suspicions about him. But now that no one was around, he was free to do as he pleased.

"Where's Reuben?" Wayne asked when he did not see his friend around.

"He had to leave after dinner." Felix chimed in and everyone nodded.

They knew how busy he was and also about his workaholic tendencies.

"So who was that?" Renee pointed to the elevator than Lina had taken just earlier.

"Someone we know." Wallace Luo vaguely answered and this increased her curiosity.

"You'll have to wait if you want to know who she is." Patrick answered mysteriously.

Felix did not bother about this but Renee and Mathew were itching with curiosity.

They all exited the hotel together and met the Zheng couple outside.

The elders spoke for some time but Wade and Wayne silently escaped.

Lina hummed an off-beat song and exited the elevator. She looked at her keycard and walked towards her room.

Just as she was about to open the door, someone covered her mouth from behind.

'I didn't even feel this persons' presence!' Her eyes widened.

"Hmmm….Hmmm…" She struggled to pull that hand away and scream but the sudden attacker was very strong.

She could smell an oceanic cologne from her assailant which made her come to the conclusion that this was some man.

He pushed the door open and shoved her inside. Lina almost crashed into the table next to the door when she heard the sound of the lock being turned.

She hurriedly turned around to face her attacker and widened her eyes in shock.

"You…!" She pointed her finger at him and her eyes turned red with anger.

"What the hell do you think you are doing? Forcefully entering my room like that! I can call the cops on you!" She screamed when he just gasped for breath with his head lowered.

"Why don't I do that now?" She took her phone out and began dialing the police speed dial number, but she couldn't complete dialing because her phone was abruptly snatched away.

"What do you think that you are doing?" He roared at her.

Lina felt her blood boil when she heard his words. Just as she was about to lecture him once again, he closed the distance between them and shut her mouth again.

"Oofff...Oofff…." Lina punched him on his chest and stomped on his feet in hopes of breaking free.

"Shhh…." He shushed her angrily and it looked like he was listening to some noise that was coming from the outside.

The clacking of heels and then the sound of a door shutting could be heard in the silence that pervaded the room.

"I'm sorry." He whispered and let go of the hand that was on her mouth.

Lina could finally breathe because he had forcefully covered her nose and her mouth, leaving her no way to breathe for these few seconds.

"What the hell, Reuben!?" She screeched right to his face when she could speak again.

Right now the two of them were still too close to each other and they just stared into each other's eyes.

Reuben was concentrating on the sparkling golden that made it impossible for him to look away.

But Lina was searching for something else in his eyes.

'His eyes look weird. Why are his pupils dilated so much? His breathing isn't normal as well!' She frowned.

She could also feel his body temperature rising sharply and that gave her a clue of what was wrong with him.

'He's on drugs! What a nasty bastard!' Lina struggled to get away from this scumbag who would take illegal drugs.

"Reuben, what are you on?" She spoke through gritted teeth when he refused to loosen his hold around her body.

"Huh? What do you mean?" He innocently tilted his head and spoke in a weak voice that did not resemble his usual low baritone voice.

"Drugs, Reuben! You are high right now!" The more she struggled the more he pulled her closer.

"I need to know what you took so that we can get you to the hospital!" She was worried that it would negatively impact his body.

"No hospital!" He yelled at her and put his head on her shoulder.

Lina felt awkward with this position but all she could do for now is calm him down and convince him to get medical attention.

"I did not take drugs." She heard his soft voice right next to her ear and she squirmed a bit.

'Dammit! His breath is directly on my neck! It's ticklish!' She tried to push him away.

For a second his hold weakend and this time she succeeded to take a few steps away from him.

"Arghh.."

Reuben's head was slumped and it looked like he was in pain due to the low groan that he had let out.

"Are you okay?" She asked and saw him look up and smirk at her.

"Why wouldn't I be okay when I have you right here?" He stepped towards her like a lion was stalking its prey.

'This is making me feel unsafe for some reason.' Lina took a step back when she saw him approach.

"What do you want from me?" She questioned in a scared voice.

"You" Was all she got and once again he pulled her into his arms.

'My first impression of him was right! He is a creep! and a nasty drug-addicted pervert!' Lina struggled to escape.

During her struggle, Lina finally understood what kind of drug he was on.

'High body temperature, dazed eyes, super strength, and most importantly that hard thing poking my stomach!' She cringed.

'Am I going to lose my virginity in this way? With some stranger whom I don't love?' She shook her head in strong refusal.

'Those MCs may have accepted their fate but I won't! Let's see how he tries to get fresh with me with a broken penis.' She scowled.

The next moment she raised her leg and used her entire strength to kick him in the nuts.

"Motherfu…" Reuben let go of her and crumbled to the floor.

He rolled about and wept silent tears for a certain crushed member of his body.

"Want some more, huh pervert?" Lina stood with her hands raised in a boxing stance.

'I'm glad daddy taught me self defense or else I would have been taken advantage of by this asshole!' She glared at Reuben who was still on the floor.

Reuben felt like he was just yanked out of his drug-induced trance by a truck that had hit him hard.

He looked up and when he saw the frightened yet vigilant face of the little demoness who tried to make him impotent, he felt remorseful.

'I'm glad she did that or else I would have done something that I might regret for the rest of my life.' He struggled to stand up.

He winced due to the pain but when he saw Lina pick up a vase and was ready to smash it on his head, he hurriedly stopped her.

"Stop! I'm fine now!" He snatched it away from her and set it on a table.

"As if I would believe you, you almost rapist!" She cursed at him.

"I'm the victim here! Not you!" He grimaced.

"Do you have any shame left in your body?" She was appalled when she heard his words.

"Lina, I was secretly drugged by someone! You think I would want to sleep with you if I wasn't!?" He laughed when he said those words.

'What's so wrong with me?' She frowned and looked at her body.

"Wait, what? You were drugged? By whom?" She got back to the crucial issue.

"Doesn't matter right now. I can feel it acting up again! Where's your bathroom?" He urgently inquired and his face twisted up in pain.

"What you need is a doctor!" She was shocked at how he just walked into her room.

"This is not the first time this has happened to me. So just leave me alone for now." He rudely lectured her and locked himself in the bathroom.

'Like I care! Do what you want but stay far away from me!' She too locked the door from the outside to ensure her safety.

'I should have just gone back home with Uncle Pat!' She cursed her luck and walked to the bed.

She sat down and stared at the bathroom door from where she could hear the sound of water running in the shower.

'What do novels say about removing the effects of such love drugs?' Lina tried to recall the knowledge she had attained through her novels.

'Coldwater shower, he's already doing that right now.' She rejected that idea.

'Antidote? The idiot is refusing to go to the hospital.' She tried to remember the other tips that could help in this situation.
