"Sir, this is the last file that needs your signature before we head home."

Placing the file on his boss's desk, Assistant Kim withdrew two steps and looked at his boss with worship and admiration in his eyes. He stood like a soldier waiting for his instructions.

Looking up from the file he had been reading, Reuben Ming saw his assistant Mathew Kim.

"Hmm. I'll sign after I review it. Finish up the work here so that we can rest well at the hotel. Tomorrow's flight is going to be long and we'll bring jumping into work right after we land. So be prepared for it."

Reuben explained.

"Yes, Empe… I mean, yes boss!" Catching himself before he slipped up. Assistant Kim hurriedly ran out the door.

Looking at his assistant practically fleeing, he shook his head then went back to the file in his hand.

As soon as the door closed, Mathew let out the breath that he had been holding.

'How could I make such a stupid mistake. I was just about to call him his nickname. Good thing I stopped or I could've lost my job. No no... I can't afford to lose my job now that my baby's pregnant.'

Thinking about his pregnant wife he smiled, then walked to his desk.

'Let's finish up the pending work fast so that I can go shopping to buy something nice as a surprise gift. Baby will be so happy.'

In renewed vigor, he started working again.

After about four hours, which seemed like an eternity to Mathew who wanted to go shopping for his wife. He saw the Emperor's office door open. He eagerly stood up, to pack his things.

As soon as he walked out of his office door, he saw his assistant jumping around to pack up his stuff and follow him to the elevator.

Today was the last day they were staying here, as the month-long project that they had taken up had been completed successfully. All they had to do now was sit back and wait for the sales of their new product to skyrocket.

As he waited for the elevator to come up, he looked at the man standing behind him

He knew that people called him 'Emperor' and his assistant as his 'loyal eunuch' but he never really understood why. Nor did he care about what people called him, as long as it did not interfere with his work.

*Ding*

The elevator door opened and they walked in. Looking at his reflection, he thought about how his nickname had come about?

His thoughts were disrupted by the vibration in his pocket.

Fishing his phone out, he read a text from his mother.

*I hope you remember the list of things that I want you to buy for me. If you forget them then I'll forget that you are my son. Love you lots! ^-^ *

Looking at the same old threat, he smiled.

'At least change the threat once in a while. I'm tired of this routine.' He shook his head.

'But I'm glad she sent this text. I completely forgot about that six-page booklet that she calls a list. It was filled front and back! Why would I need a wife to waste my hard-earned money when I have my mother.'

Thinking of this, he rubbed his aching temple.

*Ding*

As they strode out of the office building, they saw the car already waiting for them outside.

Getting into the car, they started working on their respective laptops in silence.

"Come to my room after dinner."

Reuben commanded, breaking the silence in the car.

The other two people in the car froze.

'What did I just hear?' The driver's gaze alternated between the two, employer and employee sitting in the back seat.

His hands on the steering wheel had slipped for a split second before he steadied himself.

He looked up to see Assistant Kim through the rearview mirror. Seeing how his expressions changed from confusion to realization then determination and fear.

The driver had only one thought in his mind.

'I feel the same way, bro!'

Assistant Kim who felt like he had been struck by lightning was shocked to hear the Emperor's order.

'Did he just ask me to spend the night with him? Am I missing something here?'

He looked up to find the driver giving him a 'you'll be fine' look.

'What the hell was that for? Emperor, don't do this to me. I'm your loyal eunuch. How could I come and serve you?'

'Even if I'm your loyal servant, I'm even more loyal to my wife. No way, I'm not going to do it!'

Then as if realizing something he looked at his boss who was still typing on his laptop.

He was once again stunned to see his boss's symmetrical and appealing face. That long and straight nose, defined jaw and now that he was so close to him. He noticed the small mole under his lips which he had never seen before.

'He has such a good looking face, but he has never dated any girl. I've never even seen him get close to girls before. Now I think I know why. ' Assistant Kim came to a conclusion about his boss's preferences.

'Did he think that now he's far from everyone he knows, he can be his true self? That's sad, but I can't sacrifice my butt just because I feel bad for him. No way, my body belongs to my wife. No woman or man is allowed to touch. Uh-uh.'

Having decided what to do, Assistant Kim looked at his boss with a determined face.

"Boss, I don't think I can follow your order. I'm sorry, but if that's what you really want. I can help you find someone else, like a wingman. We'll find someone with more experience to help you out."

After finishing what he had to say in a single breath, Mathew found the temperature in the car decreasing rapidly. He looked up to find the Emperor staring at him viciously.

"What's going on in that tiny brain of yours?"

Reuben said through gritted teeth.

'This idiot thought that I am gay? Even if I did swing that way, I wouldn't lower my standards to sleep with him! Hmph!'

Poor Mathew, if only he knew that he was dissed for his looks.

All Mathew heard was a 'hmph' and thought that he had offended his boss.

'Bye-bye, the new collection Obsidia announced that I was gonna gift my baby after our child's birth. Bye-bye, new car that I was saving up for the past six months. Bye-bye...'

Silently Mathew said goodbye to all the things that he had planned to buy with his monthly bonus.

"Don't use that incredibly low IQ of yours in front of me!"

Reuben glared at him.

"Madam has sent a list of things she wants me to buy before I return. The list is in the hotel room. I wanted you to buy them for me after dinner."

'Oh, so that was the case!' The driver nodded and drove towards the hotel entrance.

"If I find you having such thoughts again, I won't mind sending you to Blue Heaven for some experience."

Reuben said with a scary smile that did not reach his eyes.

They looked at his smile and got goosebumps all over and sweat ran down their backs.

"No, no, Boss. this subordinate wouldn't dare. This subordinate is sorry and knows his mistake. I beg your pardon!"

Assistant Kim quickly apologized. The only thing missing was him kowtowing right there in the car.

Even the driver was scared enough to not look at the two in the backseat.

Well, who wouldn't be? After all, Blue Heaven was a male burlesque club that Reuben had started as a prank on his friend.

But who would've thought that this club gained a lot of popularity and was now raking in hundreds of millions per month?

Reuben Ming was very happy with this result, who would reject easy money?

The car stopped at the hotel entrance and Assistant Kim ran to open the door for the Emperor, who strode off without giving him a second glance.

They rode the elevator up in silence and reached Reuben's room on the top floor of the hotel where he had been staying for the past month.

Mathew waited outside the door as Reuben walked in to fetch the list.

He found the list in his luggage and then passed it onto his loyal eunuch who was standing guard at his door.

Then shutting the door right on his face, he turned and walked to the bathroom.
