Damian thought back to the first time he took down the Originator Spirit of the Maxwell Soul Spirit, and remembered that he had been able to coat his fist with some sort of unusual power.

Now in the unusual space where he could copy Soul Spirits, Damian felt that similar power and couldn't relate it to Internal or External Energy, and seemed to be another form of force that had something to do with his soul.

There were too many confusing and profound things that came with copying Soul Spirits and it was clear that souls were a big part of it, but Damian suppressed those thoughts until after he had spoken with the spirit before him,

"How am I here? You had just fought with my host, and now I am within what seems to be your soul space" asked the short figure.

[Soul Space? It must be similar to my mindscape, but instead of within my mind, is within my soul. That must also mean that the force I can use here is related to my soul and for now, I will call it my Soul Force, which is essential to dominating and controlling Soul Sprits so that they can be swallowed up by the copy book] thought Damian to himself.

"I am not sure of details, but you are a copy of the spirit within Clay's body and once I submit you and you are consumed by my Soul Spirit, I will gain Clay's ability" answered Damian.

"I will be consumed and will probably be destroyed in the process, but I am only a copy anyway and won't give you any trouble, since just like my host, I do have respect for you and how you fought to defend yourself and your honour despite the odds," said the spirit. shocking Damian.

"So, Clay respects me? Could you tell me more about him?" asked Damian, wanting to find any weaknesses or anything he could use to find and dominate Clay.

"I apologise, but even if I am a copy, I was formed and awakened by Clay, so belong to him. I am unsure about other spirits, but I am one that is loyal and also not very difficult to deal with. Clay is someone that I respect and if it weren't for the world putting you two against each other, I can see that you aren't much different from each other" said the spirit as it began to fade away.

"What do you mean by that? What else can you tell me?" asked Damian eagerly, however, it was too late as he felt himself return to his body after the spirit disappeared.

He didn't know how to feel about his experience in his Soul Space and about his conversation with Clay's spirit, but from what he was told and from how the spirit acted, Clay must be someone with good prospects that is respectable.

In reality, not even a second had passed the entire time that Damian had been in that dark space, but as he opened his eyes, he felt like he had learnt so much.

[That spirit really was an unusual one and if it was formed from Clay's character since it is a Natural Spirit, then it must mean that Clay isn't someone with bad intentions. He is cold-hearted and doesn't really seem to care about his subordinates, but that is probably because they aren't respectable and he seemed to be quite uptight and righteous despite his cold expression] thought Damian to himself as he replayed their fight.

Damian saw him as a worthy rival and the faces of his friends along with Darren Shan appeared within his mind, as he thought about all the rising stars that he knew of and had come across.

[From what I know, there are a few extremely talented young people arising from around the country and probably even around the continent. I am unsure whether this is a natural occurrence or something deeper is happening around the world, but I think there is a link between what all the rising stars so far] thought Damian to himself as he became more excited and determined to increase his power with so many worthy and tough rivals out there.

[There might be a few exceptions, but from what I can tell, all of those that are rising stars in this new generation naturally awakened their Soul Spirits. They also should have Natural Spirits and will most likely awaken them after breaking through the Mortal Cultivation Level, which won't take most of the rising stars long to figure out. If they can't figure it out themselves, after exploring the continent it will become clear. They will either cultivate both types of cultivation, or opt to skip that and use a breakthrough pill. It might increase their power when facing an opponent at the same skill and cultivation level, but they would reach a higher cultivation level at quicker speeds] thought Damian to himself.

[Maybe all the Soul Spirits are linked somehow or maybe there is something more than what meets the eye with what is occurring. But either way, I will try my best to copy all the Soul Spirits that are awakened by the rising stars and will come out on top]

The Monkey Beast was staring closely at Damian, who was clearly deep in thought, as it curiously observed to see what would occur next after he opened the book, as for the beast, only a few seconds had passed up until that moment.

[Me and Milo seem to be anomalies according to my theory about the Soul Spirits are linked, and I am also unsure about Darren Shan, as it is rumoured that he doesn't have a Soul Spirit, but that isn't confirmed. But figuring out the mystery of what is happening around the continent is not what I need to do now. It is time to test out my new ability] thought Damian to himself with an excited expression.
