The Copy Mage Chapter 177

"Hey! This beast isn't my Beast Pet" said Damian, who didn't want to have to take care or have the responsibility of looking after the Monkey Beast.
It had become big, was very playful and a hassle to deal with, especially since Damian didn't understand its reasonings and had no way to control it or ensure that it wouldn't switch at him randomly one day.
There were too many risks with keeping a beast around and becoming friendly with a beast, since most would have a hatred for humans that they cannot control and could also become wild at any moment.
However, Damian also had no choice but to rely on the beast in his current situation and after recovering and paying it back with the Moose Beast's body that would be very beneficial for a beast, he was planning to part ways and stay away from the unusual beast.
Without wasting any time or hesitating, not wanting to give Damian an advantage or time to recover and plan, the leader of the group of royal academy students began barking orders.
"You two engage the Beast Pet in close combat and I will offer you support from behind using my ability. I can support you with defence, while also attacking the beast so there is no need to worry. Try not to kill it so we can capture it. It seems to be highly intelligent, making it very valuable" ordered the leader of the group of royal academy students to his two subordinates that were External Cultivators and specialised in close combat.
"You will keep your distance from the beast and aim to take down that guy quickly, before supporting us with this beast if we need help. Make sure he is dead and the only thing that is left is his ashes" instructed the leader of the group of royal academy students to his other subordinate that used ranged attacks.

His confident tone and instructions made his subordinates more confident in themselves and helped them to calm down as if he didn't let them retreat, then they wouldn't be allowed to, so it was best if they followed his instructions and tried their best.
"Hey, Monkey Beast. Make sure that those two don't get close to me and be wary of that guy, he can manipulate the Earth beneath our feet and is very skilled" said Damian as he retreated backwards and pointed at the leader of the royal academy students.
Damian was pushing his body past his limits and was using Internal Energy even when his Internal Energy Storages were almost depleted and his life force was acting as a substitute for it.
It wasn't lowering his lifespan and there wouldn't be any long term effects, but his life force, which was his overall life energy and vitality that would affect his recovery speed and health in the short term.
He would need lots of food and energy along with rest and cultivation as pushing past one's limits, although it might help one to increase their cultivation and power, it would need time to recover and improve from.
However Damian had no choice but to overdraft his energy storages and with all the beasts around him in the beast woods, Damian would have plenty of beast meat to eat.
Retreating backwards, Damian was watching all four of his opponents closely and the Monkey Beast despite being playful, was also very conservative and understood most of what Damian said to him and had an idea of what the others were capable of.
With his bow, Damian fired an arrow at the royal academy student that used ranged attacks, the one that the group leader had instructed to target Damian, wanting to test out what he was capable of.

To his surprise, the student used a skill that was similar to the Flame Burst Skill and also seemed to be using some sort of Flame Reinforcement Skill, which surprised Damian but also excited him to face him.
The royal academy student had a Fire Soul Spirit that was similar to the Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit but had more of a yellow tint.
Despite not being from the Maxwell Family, since he was a noble, he had access to lots of resources, skills and techniques through his family and the royal academy, which made him a capable and dangerous individual.
However, Damian could see that he was only an Internal Cultivoatr that had barely cultivated and tempered their body to increase their External Cultivation, which made him less of a threat, especially since Damian had the Golden Flame Inheritance.
It would be hard to deal with a skilled user of the fire element using his bow, as Damian himself knew that the explosive and ranged capabilities of a Pyro Mage were very hard to deal with, but he wasn't intimidated by him in the slightest.
The royal academy student had a slightly higher internal cultivation than Damian, but he hadn't cultivated externally and Damian was also confident in his own capabilities and combat prowess, so there was no need for him to be afraid.
Forming a fireball in his hand, the Pyro Mage Royal Academy Student flung it towards Damian, and the speed at which it flew over towards Damian and the power it had was surprising.
It seemed that the Pyro Mage had added an explosive launch to the Fire Ball Skill that Damian hadn't thought about and it also gave Damian an idea for a new skill.
Damian could avoid the fireball, since there was quite a large distance between himself and the Pyro Mage that was heading towards him, but he decided against doing so.
His reasons for doing so were that he wanted to reserve the small amount of energy that he had and didn't want to push his body too far past its limits and he also wanted to test the capabilities of his body and resistance to fire attacks.
"Here goes nothing" mumbled Damian to himself as he put his arms up to block the fireball that was launched towards him.
