The Copy Mage Chapter 160

Despite the receptionist at the Mission Hall not believing that Damian could complete all the 6 difficult missions, she still allowed him to accept them all and knew that he had the right to do so as he was the direct disciple of the great elder.
"Do you not want to keep all the mission slips? There are 6 of them and you might forget something about the mission" she asked as Damian turned to leave the mission hall without taking the mission slips, that had the description and information about the missions needed.
"I think I will be fine" answered Damian before leaving.
He didn't have time to waste and felt great with his powerful tempered body and dense internal energy.
However it was night and it was dangerous and reckless for him to leave for a mission in the middle of night, since it was likely that he would come across bandits, criminals and even beasts.
He was also quite tired after all the training he had done when trying to harmonise his Internal and External Cultivation, so opted to go and get something to eat, before going straight to sleep.
Damian got Utsusu to wake him up as soon as the sun began to rise and had a few preparations that he had to make before he left.
The only equipment he needed was his purple small bow that had become his most prized possession, but he was still going to travel long distances and probably wouldn't return to the academy for at least a week, so needed to be ready.
What he was planning was very dangerous and even a group of Inner Academy Students together wouldn't dare to even think about doing what Damian was about to do, but to Damian, it was a necessary step to build his power, experience and survival skills.

He had become too reliant on things that won't be there when he was alone and exploring, such as the academy's meals, so before he left, he wanted to buy all the survival gear he would need.
Cole had a big bag that Damian could hold on his back and use to fit in all the things he would need.
Luckily for Damian, he ran into Cole who was awake at sunrise just like him and let him take the bag to use on his mission.
Cole was also leaving the academy to go on a mission, but he wasn't planning on leaving for as long as Damian and was heading in a different direction, so they parted ways soon after talking for a while.
With a few spirit coins, he was able to purchase everything he needed as although he needed a lot of things, they were small things and although spirit coins was a big currency, there were smaller currencies that he could receive as change.
There was copper, silver, gold, spirit coins, beast cores and energy cores, which were all used for trading and purchasing goods, but Damian was more focused on acquiring spirit coins, which were the currency that was used most by cultivators.
Most individuals that were cultivators, would struggle to get silver and gold, let alone spirit coins and if one wasn't eating that much and wasn't consuming foods that were beneficial for the body and rich in energy, they could live off a few silver for an entire year.
The things Damian purchased were basic things need to skin, carve and make a fire to cook beast meat and also bought quite a lot of dried beast meat, that was very nutritious, didn't go bad and could be carried in smaller quantities.
Along with that, he bought water in a metal jar that was air-tight and also very durable and a few other key items that he might need over the time he was gone.

[My plans keep changing and there are many things I need to complete, but as long as I am being productive and making progress, that isn't a problem] he said to himself as he prepared to leave.
[I will try my best to be back in a week's time, then will take down Larry in a public match and copy his Soul Spirit. I will gain the original and strongest version of the Soul Spirit and it will increase my talent and versatility in combat, however, I cannot use it in front of others] planned Damian.
[After that, I will continue my training and before leaving the academy to move on with my adventure, I am interested in Cole and Julia's Soul Spirits. I also want to support those around me, try to stop the war between the royals and nobles and the academy and lower classes. While I would also like to search for that girl and find out who she was. But to do all of those things, I need to work hard and become stronger] he continued.
Everything he wanted to do was clear to him, but carrying it out would take a lot of time, effort, blood, sweat and tears.
However, Damian was more than willing to put all of those things into everything that he did and was eager to get started with everything that he needed to do.
After receiving permission for a one-week absence, Damian walked out of the academy with the large bag he was carrying on his back and his purple small bow.
"You better be careful. You are very young and talented and the world is full of dangers. Try to avoid empty areas until you reach the beast areas that you wish to hunt in and also don't go too deep into them, as the beasts become more powerful the deeper you go into their areas" advised one of the guards who was surprised by how long Damian was leaving for and the reasoning behind it.
Damian thanked him and smiled before leaving in the same confident and calm manner that he did before, not going to allow people's warnings to intimidate him out of completing the 6 missions.
