The Copy Mage Chapter 153

2 masked men in completely black robes entered the Green House Pill Association Master's office.
"You arrived quickly. There are two kids that have a jade box and a jade bottle each and I want you to steal them for me. However, I don't want you to use force and I don't want them to be hurt either. They are both merely rank 4 cultivators so for you two, it should be like taking candy from a baby" instructed the old man.
Both of them nodded their heads, then dashed away and jumped out of the window to quickly complete their task.
Despite the old man not liking Damian and Milo as they were distracting and getting in the way of Sarah's progress, they were still only kids and he knew that Sarah cared for them, so he didn't want them to be harmed.
Although he was unsure of what exactly she had given them as one's spiritual sense wouldn't be ale to look through the special jade material, he was sure that she would give them something valuable and useful after seeing how much she cared for them.
If he stole the resources back without harming him, he wouldn't be suspected and would get back his resources while the kids were unlikely to tell Sarah as they would probably be ashamed that they lost what she had given them.
Damian and Milo held what they had been given close to their chests and walked quickly back towards the academy where they were sure they were safe as they both started to feel as though something bad was going to happen.
Milo gave Damian a worried look, but Damian was confident and his confidence spread onto Milo who also relaxed.
There didn't seem to be any danger so far and they were nearing the academy, but they didn't relax as Damian held tightly onto what he had been given with his left arm, while he held onto his bow with his right hand.

The bow made him feel safe with the weird feeling that it gave him while he held it and his mother was amazed by it when she saw it hanging on his shoulder.
Suddenly they both, with their abnormally sharp and sensitive senses, sensed danger approaching them from behind as two dark figures dashed towards them with incredible speed.
"Damn it, we are so close to the academy as well" cursed Damian as he circulated his Internal Energy and activated his Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit.
Milo also activated some sort of Beast Bloodline Transformation as his appearance changed slightly to become more monstrous as he charged towards the academy.
"They are both faster than expected and master said they were merely rank 4 cultivators, but that doesn't seem to be the case," said one of the dark figures who was shocked y their speed.
However, they were rank 6 cultivators, which had a large gap when compared to rank 4 cultivators and the higher the cultivation level, the large the gaps between the cultivation ranks.
They were two of the Green House Pill Association Master's secret force members and almost all large cultivation organisations or families had some sort of secret force.
The secret force was made up of young individuals that were raised and nurtured by the organisation and had complete loyalty to it, to the point that they would sacrifice their lives and follow orders without a second thought.
Seeing that Damian and Milo were bolting towards the academy and knowing that trying to chase them into the academy, even if it was the smallest branch of Akegria Academy, was basically suicide, they rushed after them.
There were many peak Mortal Cultivators in the Gobe Country, but none could compare to the power of the king and the power of the principal of Akegria Academy was rumoured to be even more powerful than the king's.

A skilled peak Mortal that had a strong foundation, had a Soul Spirit and had trained in many powerful techniques and skills would be able to easily defeat an ordinary cultivator at the same cultivation level as them.
"They are catching up, we won't make it" shouted Milo who was shocked by the robed figure's speed.
Damian wasn't willing to lose the resources that he had, especially since his mother was the one that had given them to him and threw his one's over to Milo as he turned around to face the two figures.
"Don't worry about me, I will hold them back while you get to the academy. When you get inside, call for the guards to come and assist me in taking down the two figures that were attacking Akegria Academy Students" instructed Damian.
Milo caught the jade bottle and case and was once again reminded of Damian's bravery as he did as he said without arguing, knowing that in the situation they were in, they didn't have the time to argue or disagree.
Damian quickly withdrawing his bow that was hanging over his shoulder formed an Explosive Fire Arrow using the Arrow Beam Skill and fired it at the ground that was in front of the two figures.
The sudden explosion caused confusion and panic as the people in the area began to rush away as the area that Damian had caused the commotion was always crowded as it was close to the academy and was where a lot of business took place.
Both of the masked figures were launched sliding backwards by the sudden explosion and hadn't expected that the young kid that they had underestimated would dare to attack them both alone.
"You better turn back before you get yourselves hurt. I am not one that lets people off" waned Damian and he formed another arrow.
Seeing what was happening, the people that were previously rushing away, turned back around and washed Damian and the two masked figures from a distance.
"Look he is an Akegria Academy Student with a Soul Spirit, no wonder he dares to cause a commotion outside the academy"
"And those two seem to be trying to kill or steal from him"
The crowds all began to chatter between themselves and felt safer since they were together and seeing that they weren't planning on harming them, watched from a distance.

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! A Fragmented Mind
"Hi there. My name is Richard Maddox, but my — admittedly nonexistent — friends call me Rick. I live in a world of superheroes and villains. A world filled with magic and physics-defying powers, and in this world, I'm just an ordinary, completely average 17-year-old boy. My imaginary friends, however, are as far from average as you get. You think you're good at deluding yourself? Well, stand back, because it's time for a master to show you his craft. Welcome to my life, the life of a madman." This story was originally inspired by the 'Legion' novella series written by Brandon Sanderson. If you've read those books and liked them, it might be worth giving this a read. The same goes if you haven't read them either, I guess. (Currently re-writing earlier chapters)
