The Copy Mage Chapter 143

Damian had been thinking about the idea while he was absorbing energy to replenish his energy storages and it was also a good way to clear his mind and sort out everything that he had learnt so far systematically.
To recover his external energy he needed food, resources that could be eaten such as pills and medication and sleep, but his internal energy could be restored by absorbing energy from the atmosphere into his body.
However, that was merely what he had been taught and Damian didn't like to be restricted. He wanted to try out everything, explore and be the greatest. It was the dream of most, but Damian actually had the potential and talent to do so.
[What if I can absorb energy like I do to cultivate internally and stream it into my muscles and try and use it to recover externally] thought Damian to himself.
While breathing, one was unconsciously breathing in energy with the oxygen that their body needed and was why even ordinary people had quite amazing physiques. It was also how small animals, could transform into large beasts.
The energy they were breathing in was also how people were able to recover their external energy, also known as stamina, so quickly. So, what if he could directly absorb energy to recover externally, which would be much quicker and efficient.
If others were to know what Damian was thinking they would call him crazy, but to Damian it made sense, but he knew that it really was as easy as he thought, then people would have been doing it for centuries before him.
Trying to do so, no matter how much he tried to steam his internal energy to recover his external energy, he would always end up reinforcing his body instead of recovering.
He had been trying to do so for so long and in the process, strained himself mentally so much, yet still hadn't been able to even recover his External Energy at all.

[It must be because my External Cultivation is too low compared to my Internal Cultivation and I also need to find out how to completely harmonise them. Even if it isn't the key breaking past the Mortal Cultivation Level, it will increase my power and skill] thought Damian to himself as he collapsed onto his bed and slept deeply.
His mind had been fatigued massively and his body still hadn't recovered, so the best thing for him to do was sleep and while he was sleeping, Utsusu was helping his body to automatically absorb energy in his sleep to assist his recovery.
Utsusu had ignored his questions and declined to talk to Damian about his idea because he wanted Damian to find out most things himself and come to his own conclusions so that he is more independent and capable.
Upon waking up, Damian felt much better than the day before, but was extremely hungry and needed a large amount of food again to complete his recovery and sustain his growing and developing body.
However before he left his room to get some food, he had confirmed to himself and was sure that he was onto something, and as soon as he reached that conclusion, he felt a weird sensation within his mind.
He recognised the sensation and knew that it occurred when he had unlocked something within the Golden Flame Inheritance. Damian wanted to jump up in joy and instantly steamed his consciousness into his mindscape where the Golden Flame Inheritance was, leaving his body unconscious on his bed, seemingly asleep.
Seeping his consciousness into the Golden Flame Inheritance he found that he had unlocked another manual that seemed to be some sort of cultivation, but he didn't recognise the cultivation method that had a golden cover, with flames engraved into it.

Before he could check out what the cultivation method was, he suddenly received another manual that seemed to a technique and was shorter than the cultivation level and Damian was overwhelmed with joy.
He knew that he would only unlock things once his body and mind were ready for them, so it must have had something to do with his idea and the realisations that he had during his spar with Milo that helped him open his eyes to wider truths around Internal and External Cultivation.
The Golden Flame Tempering Method
Using the Golden Internal Flames and resources that are dense in fire energy to temper the user's body externally and gives the user immunity to fire and also gives them greater explosive power compared to an ordinary external cultivator.
Matched with the Flame within his dantian that he was still forming and improving until it was completely gold, from the red flame that the Maxwell Family made it to be, it would give him incredible power.
It was an external cultivation method and exactly what he needed since he wanted to get his external cultivation to match his internal cultivation, so that he would be able to break past the Mortal Cultivation Level.
Damian believed that his idea was true wholeheartedly and even if it wasn't, his body would be more stable and powerful if he cultivated both internally and externally, so he wasn't losing anything by doing so.
The effects of the Golden Flame Tempering Method were incredible and he could temper his body using his own flame, other flames and resources that are rich in Fire Energy, such as the beast core of a Fire Beast or a pill that was made with materials that grew in environments filled with Fire Energy.
When it came to resources and beasts, Damian was quite limited as the Gobe Country hadn't opened trade with other countries or explored much of the area around the country, but he was sure he could still find the resources he needed.
[I can ask my mother for a pill that has a lot of Fire Energy and I will repay her for it with the spirit coins that I earn from my missions. But before I begin cultivating the Golden Flame Tempering Method, I need to see what that other manual was] thought Damian to himself.

Rise of the Firstborn
[A participant in the Royal Road Writathon Challenge]As the inhibitor rises and the eternal flame is quenched, our lands shall be freed, and only then will the Princess be set to flee. It began with ice. A relentless, bone-chilling tickle of frost that stretched across the lands of Axulran, crawling over the mountain crests and freezing the grassy meadows. Frozen in time, the kingdom fought for political control all across the region of Ellixus, paying no mind to the death and torment they may cause along the way. Cateline Bennett, a princess consumed with ice, found herself lost in a foreign kingdom with nothing but her wits to survive. As she explores this unknown land, she unravels her past and discovers that the magic she had concealed for so long could unleash chaos so intense, it could destroy the world as she knew it. With her untapped magic and new friends, Cateline must vanquish the enemies that threatened the world of Denzethea as they knew it, else they, and all they knew, would crumble to ruin. NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).

Hacking Reality (A teenage Mad Scientist's story.)
Maya Williams was smart. For the first time however, she realized she might be a little too smart. At least if the fact that a gang had kidnapped her was any indication. But that didn’t matter, because she’d show them. She’d show them all!!! Just as soon as the voices in her head could agree on how to get out of this mess. --- Please Note: This is a version of a forum quest I run following a teenage Mad Scientest with heroic tendencies in the same city/setting as my other stories the Huntsman's Quest and Get Ink'd. Meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.

That time I got re-incarnated in Fire - Red
Ben Stiller did not expect to find himself waking up inside the Pokemon Fire - Red game. He also did not expect to find out how badly a game like this translates into real life! What to expect:- Some comedy, light, dark or otherwise whatever I feel like.- Some interesting twists in the story as I personally play through the game for reference IRL :)- Blue screens... maybe for the MC, definately not for you guys though :p- I don't think there will be all that much in the way of romance, the MC is in the body of a 10 year old.- Also, there won't really be any disturbing shit dispite what the cover might suggest.- The MC is not overtly bad or a psycho or anything, but is a bit 'care-free'- Honestly I just wanted to write something randomly for some stress relief!

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
