The Copy Mage Chapter 138

Servants cooked and served the king, Elizabeth and Bernard food within half an hour and in that time, the king spoke with Elizabeth directly and Elizabeth also spoke with him directly.
The king had many questions and not only wanted to gather information from her but also form an alliance and friendly relationship with her, but he masked it behind formal speech and didn't want to seem too forward and eager.
He wanted to keep his image as the royal king that was proud and respected, but Elizabeth didn't seem to have any intention of being friendly with him.
Her answers and replies to what the king said were always brief and vague which made it very hard for the king to find out more about her and find something that she wanted to offer her to form an alliance with her.
He didn't know what had happened to her, why she needed the royal family's help or much about what her country and family was like, but he was still calm and respectful, making sure not to tarnish his image or reputation despite his desires.
Elizabeth was extremely hungry and although the food wasn't as good as the food she was used to eating in the Graham Family, it was much better than what she had eaten over the past few weeks that had been hell for her.
After they had eaten their fill, which was a surprisingly large amount for 3 people, they all got up to leave.
"Elizabeth before you leave to return to your room and recover, I would like to ask you one more thing," said the king just as she was about to leave.
They had prepared for her multiple sets of clothes and all the servants had been instructed to provide her with whatever she wanted. However, Elizabeth would probably be able to manipulate them even if they weren't instructed to help her and really wanted to go to sleep.

The guard leader had been taken to be healed previously when the king left and was recovering well, while the information that the royal family had a guest hadn't spread outside the royal palace, just like Elizabeth wanted.
If one were to reveal such information, they would be killed for treason and the king knew that it was best if nobody else knew of her stay at the royal family until he had formed an official alliance with her and until her safety was guaranteed with her family.
"I would like your family's assistance on some matters within our country. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me get that help from your family" requested the king.
"Depending on what it is, I can accept one request from you after I safely return to my family and you can send me an official request in the form of a letter, and I will consider it," said Elizabeth as she left the royal courtroom with Bernard.
After everything that had happened to her over the past few weeks and with all the highs and lows, she was mentally and physically fatigued and all she wanted was to rest.
Elizabeth hadn't guaranteed to the king that she would accept his request, but the request that he was planning to make was one that could be easily solved by the Graham Family if they were as powerful as he had heard, and she would most likely accept.
She was escorted to the room that was prepared for her and although they had prepared two top-quality bedrooms that were luxuriously designed, Elizabeth still wanted Bernard to sleep in the same room as her.
Becuase of that, they prepared Bernard a bed in the corner of the large bedroom that they had prepared for her and Elizabeth chose to wear a set of red robes that had matching red trousers and fit her perfectly.

With Bernard in the same room as her, she felt slightly safer as she lay on the bed that they had prepared for her.
It was similar to the beds that she was used to back at home and after all the hardship she had experienced lately, it felt even better than anything she had ever felt, almost as if she was floating on a cloud.
As soon as Elizabeth's head touched her pillow, she fell fast asleep as Bernard also did the same.
They had both cleaned themselves up, eaten their fill and were given comfortable and high quality clothes along with a nice bed, so it was easy for them to fall asleep.
However Bernard, unlike Elizabeth, didn't and couldn't fall into a deep sleep and was ready to protect his mistress at any moment, still on edge and prepared for battle at any moment, despite not being a fighter.
Meanwhile, in that time, Damian had already returned to the academy and had made it back to the academy without coming across any troubles on the way.
By the time he got back to the academy, he was completely fatigued and his body had not only been damaged and needed to recover, but his Internal and External Energy had been depleted.
The guards were surprised by the state that Damian was in and by the time that he was returning, especially since the time limit that his mission had, had passed without him reporting back to the academy.
After 24 hours of a student not reporting back to the academy after leaving they are filed as missing and depending on the student, a search party would be sent out to search for the student.
Luckily Damian hadn't been gone for that long and he staggered to his residence and headed straight to his bedroom. If one were to attack him in the state he was in, they would easily be able to defeat him and Damian didn't even have the strength to defend himself.
He had experienced the exhilarating feeling of temporarily copying a Soul Spirit, however, he suffered a lot of backlash because of it and along with everything else that he had sustained, he needed time to recover.

Elder's Game
In a world set upon by an ancient threat, a new cycle of civilisation competes for power and resources. Amidst the games and politicking of Elder beings, the masses are unknowingly ensnared in plots and schemes that were centuries in the making. At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. As a haven for the truly strong, the path to this promise is paved more often than not in warfare and blood. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality. Initially, the focus is on the male lead as he comes of age in an environment with little scope to change his future, only to be thrust into new circumstances that permanently kill some of his hopes. 3k words every chapter
