The Copy Mage Chapter 122

Damian ignored all the pain he was experiencing, and with the assistance of Utsusu, who was guiding Damian's mind and energy, he was able to slowly begin to remove the poison from his body.
It was a slow, draining and painful process, but Damian had no choice but to endure, otherwise, he would die and his journey in his second life would end there.
Utsusu was the guide, while Damian continued to push his body and mind past its limits to follow the guide and provide it with enough energy to complete the process.
He felt his body burning all over as he slowly pushed the green poison out of his pores, but he endured the pain and continued the process without pausing once.
As long as he survived, from what he had heard from the assassin about the girl, the risk would have been worth it. If she was from such a wealthy and powerful family and had managed to get away, she would be an incredible benefactor and supporter for Damian to have.
And even if she wasn't from such a family, Damian felt obligated to help others if he could, especially if she was such a peerless beauty that had caused his heart to flutter upon seeing her face.
Even remembering about her face and perfect body made him lose focus and forget about the pain he was feeling, as if she was the cure that he was looking for. If he wanted to see and find out more about her and continue to live his life with his mother and his friends, he needed to survive.
Thinking about everything he had left unfinished in his life, Damian's drive was reignited as he continued dispelling the poison.
He was barely managing to stay conscious, but as soon as he lost consciousness, his death was inevitable as Utsusu couldn't take control of Damian's body and could merely assist and guide him through their mental and spiritual link.

After an hour of constant pain and strain, Damian had finally managed to remove most of the poison from his body and the poison that was left wasn't enough to pose a threat to his life.
Sensing that it was no longer a threat to his life, Damian relaxed slightly, but as soon as he did, his body shut down and he lost consciousness.
After losing consciousness, Damian found that he was in his mindscape again, and in it, he found Utsusu and the bookshelf that stored all the knowledge and information that Utsusu copied.
"Do you think it was enough to save my life?" asked Damian.
"We can only wait and see. The poison is not the problem anymore, it is the strain and backlash that your body has suffered that is worrying me" answered the floating book.
Damian spent the time in his mindscape reading through some of the information that Utsusu had copied, and had complete faith in his body's capability to overcome everything.
"Damian it is time to return to your body, and although it seems like it hasn't been long in here for you, it has been 6 hours in reality and your body has regained consciousness. Prepare yourself for a lot of pain, but from what I can sense, there isn't any irreversible damage, so you should be able to recover" informed him Utsusu.
Damian prepared himself mentally as he felt his consciousness be sucked back into his body, and just like Utsusu had warned him, he was bombarded with pain that had spread all around his body.
He hardly had any energy left in his body and there was still small amounts of poison roaming around his body and damaging him internally.
Damian couldn't even sit up in the condition he was in, and while lying down, began absorbing energy into his body, as without it, he wouldn't be able to do much.

He could reinforce his body with Internal Energy to make it just as powerful as an External Cultivator of the same level, but without any Internal Energy to reinforce his body, he was as weak as one would expect from an ordinary child at his level.
However, with the training that Damian had done, which was very physically straining, he had unknowingly increased the power of his External Cultivation to around LVL 7. It wasn't much when compared to his Internal Cultivation, but it was a massive advantage that he had and had helped him massively in his training, combat and most other things.
Lying down wasn't the optimum position for absorbing energy, which made it slower and less efficient, but Damian couldn't sit up and continued to absorb energy for an hour.
After an hour, he felt that he had enough energy to begin to heal his body slightly, but before he did so, he crawled over to the wall near him. He sat beside it with his back leaning on it to support his body upwards, which made it easier for his blood and energy to circulate.
Continuously circulating his energy to recover his body and energy storages, he continued to absorb and circulate his energy continuously for 2 hours.
It was very mentally straining to do so, but he needed to recover as soon as he could and needed to return to the academy to continue his training and to accept other missions, which he needed to complete in order to become an Inner Student.
After doing so, he felt as though he had recovered enough to move and set off back to the academy where he could get proper medical attention from a nurse that would help him recover much faster than he would be able to do alone.
However, before setting off back towards the academy, he wanted to dispel the rest of the poison that was in his body.
The Soul Spirit that he had temporarily copied was released as soon as he lost consciousness and he wouldn't have been able to sustain it for much longer anyway. He could also feel that he couldn't temporarily copy another Soul Spirit, so needed to find another way to dispel the poison without the Soul Spirit that allowed him to control the poison.
