The Copy Mage Chapter 114

Damian with the relatively small black bow, that had purple patterns on imprints on it, headed towards the Training Centre that was closest to his residence.
He held the bow like he had seen others do, and hung it over his shoulder with the bowstring holding it against his back. That made it so that his hands were free, so that it was easy to carry, and so that he could quickly withdraw it to use it in battle.
It was already quite late and he was already tired from all the work that he had done for Elder Marth, but he couldn't suppress the curiosity and excitement that he felt.
Rushing into a private training room, Damian was excited to test out its power, especially when he used it with the Arrow Beam Skill that he had diligently trained over the past few months.
Standing on the opposite side of the private training room to the target board, Damian withdrew the bow from his shoulder and held the grip with his left hand.
The bow was quite a bit heavier than the training bows that he was used to, but there wasn't a massive difference in terms of weight.
What was massively different was the size of the bow, as most people would use a longbow instead of a small bow, like the one that Elder Marth gave him.
Pulling back the bowstring, it was much harder than to do than he had expected and he had to use his Internal Energy to its fullest in order to be able to replicate the physical power of a rank 4 External Cultivator, allowing him to pull back the bowstring.
Even while using his Internal Energy to its fullest, he was only able to pull it back halfway, but it was more than enough to shoot a powerful arrow, and using the Arrow Beam Skill, formed an arrow that he latched onto the bowstring.

Damian used attributeless energy to form the arrow, wanting to test out the power of the bow without the arrow having any enhancements, and he was shocked by the power of the arrow.
The speed was at least double that of the other arrows that he was able to shoot previously, and not only that, it had managed to pierce through the target and imbed itself into the wall.
The target that was hanged on the wall was made out of a very thick and durable block of wood and Damian had previously only been able to slightly pierce into it with the training bows, yet with his new bow, he had managed to completely pierce through it.
It was exactly what he needed, in order to overcome the weakness of the Arrow Beam Skill, which was that the arrows would only be able to sustain themselves for, at most, 1 second after losing contact with the creator.
That is because, without a constant supply of energy, the arrow would disintegrate, which was useful when wanting to kill somebody without leaving any evidence, but was a weakness of the skill when one wanted to use it for ranged combat.
The longer the arrow was out of contact with the user for, the weaker the arrow becomes and Damian needed a more powerful bow to overcome that and increase the speed of his arrows.
Damian was pleased with its power, but before he ended his testing, he wanted to test out the power of one of the Fire Arrows that he had been able to create with the Arrow Beam Skill.
Activating his Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit, which was necessary for him to be able to form the Fire Arrow, as it would change his changeable energy into fire energy, Damian repeated the process of the Arrow Beam Skill, which he had practised an innumerable amount of times.

As he did so, he made sure to imbue the bow with the explosive properties of the fire element, forming an Explosive Fire Arrow that he fired at the centre of the target.
The speed of the arrow was faster than the ordinary arrow, from the explosive release that the arrow had enhanced, and upon impact with the target, it caused a small explosion that caused a small crater in the thick, durable wooden target.
Damian had two Fire Arrows that he had created and practised, which were the Explosive Fire Arrow and the Burning Fire Arrow, which had different effects and uses, and was overjoyed with the current power and skill level of his archery.
Damian knew from what Elder Marth had told him, that there were greater and lower quality weapons between all of the weapon quality levels. He had nothing to compare his bow to, but from what his master told him about it and from its power, it was a greater medium quality bow.
Despite the great power that it had and its durability, Damian still felt that there was more to the bow than that and that it had other capabilities that he didn't know of.
However, the power of the bow, was already too much for him to wield comfortably, so before he was confident in its use and could use it to its fullest, he wasn't planning on exploring its other uses.
After the work he had done in the day, then firing two powerful arrows that required his Internal Energy to not only reinforce his arms, but also form the arrows, Damian was fatigued to the point that he was beginning to feel lightheaded again.
He had to wake up quite early the next day, for his mission, and he wouldn't be able to get much sleep anyway, so knew that it was best if he returned to his residence and used all the time he had left to rest and recover for his mission.
Damian left the training centre and returned to his residence with a pleased smile as he dove into his bed ready to sleep after having a shower.

Up In Space
New chapter every other day Iain Compton never planned to be abducted by an alien spaceship. It just… happened. Oh, and then there's this gorgeous alien woman who he probably shouldn’t trust at all. His plan is to find a way home to Earth, even if its unlikely to be remotely the same; to find a better class of companions among an often strange and inexplicable galactic community, at least one who won’t use him or sell him out at the first opportunity; and to do something about the parasites in his brain who are supposed to connect him to a library the size of the galaxy, but seem to only be telling him that almost everyone and everything he comes across wants to kill him. But at least he can still send tweets.
