The Copy Mage Chapter 103

He knew exactly what Soul Spirit he was looking to copy and what it was capable of, and the one that had the Soul Spirit was also somebody that Damian wanted to defeat and humiliate.
Larry's Wind Sythe Soul Spirit was an incredible Soul Spirit, that despite having only a single application, was very versatile and effective in battle, while it also allowed the user to wield the Wind Element.
However, Damian knew that his cultivation level was subpar in comparison to Larry who would most likely also become an Inner Student in 1 month's time and he knew that he would need to rely on his skill and brains in order to defeat his opponent.
Before he went off to challenge Larry to a battle, where he could defeat him then acquire some of his blood to copy the original version of the Soul Spirit, that would be more powerful and of a higher grade, Damian wanted to get a bow.
He wasn't sure how much a good bow would cost and where he would be able to find it from, so the obvious option for him was to ask his master.
The bows that were in the training centre had to stay in the training rooms to be used by another student and weren't of high quality anyway.
The harder it is to pull back the bowstring, the faster and the more power one can shoot an arrow with. However the harder it is to pull back the bowstring, the harder it is to be used and controlled by an archer who would have to become accustomed to different bowstring strengths.
He went off to the library and although he received looks from other students and he could hear others speaking about him, but he didn't care and he knew that they wouldn't dare to publically do anything to him after he had become the direct disciple of a great elder.

"That bastard not only humiliated father, but also became a direct disciple of the great elder in the process. I will kill him" vowed Trevor to himself angrily.
"Don't worry as a part of the Bear Faction, we will make sure that you are avenged and supported, and with the help of your father who is an elder, we will be able to become the strongest faction in Aria Akegria Academy" reassured a male student in a large Red Ranked Residence.
It was the leader of the Bear Faction of Aria Akegria Academy and was also the same person who had sent out two Inner Academy Students to get Damian to join him.
After Damian had avoided him for so long and then became a direct disciple of the great elder, he knew he could no longer make any wild moves, especially in public.
However, with the help of Elder Ray and his talented son that was growing very quickly, he had an opportunity to massively strengthen his faction and increase his own power, resources and influence.
Each member of his faction, apart from those that were at the top of his faction, would pay taxes to the faction in order to receive their protection and be part of the faction by name. They would pay contribution point and after contributing a large amount or becoming strong enough, they would no longer need to pay to be part of the faction and would also receive benefits from staying part of the faction and supporting it with their strength.
So the more members that he had as part of his faction, especially students with wealth, power or influence, the more benefits the Faction Leader and the rest of the Upper Faction Members would receive.
It is prohibited for elders, teachers or great elders to get involved in the student factions or to support any of them and they were only allowed to regulate and intervene if it was necessary.

However, it seemed as though Elder Ray had been struck hard by the return of the great elder, who had went against him for a weak student and had humiliated him in front of so many people.
"It seems as though Damian is preparing for the bi-annual Inner Student test, will you be joining this Inner Academy Test or will you wait for the test in 6 months," asked the faction leader.
"I will definitely join this test and I will get Damian and all of his friends back for the humiliation that they caused me and my father" declared Trevor.
"Good I will be expecting a great performance from you and you have now become a key member of our faction so you cannot let us down. You should head back to train and if you need anything be sure to ask me" said the Faction Leader who was acting nice and friendly with Trevor in order to keep the connection with his father.
"Yes, I will not disappoint you" stated Trevor as he entered a reclusive retreat at his family groups to train and increase his cultivation level.
Meanwhile, Damian had arrived at the library and entered the small room behind the front reception, but he couldn't find his master, just like most other times that he went to visit the library.
He would visit the library every week to make it look like he was learning the Arrow Beam Skill, so that his master wouldn't be suspicious when he learnt it without returning to look at the Skill Manual.
"I guess I will have to find another place to get a bow" mumbled Damian to himself.
Damian knew that everything had a price, and in the academy, he would need contribution points if he wanted to buy a good bow, so before he went searching for a bow, he went to the Mission Hall.
[I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone, complete some missions and get contribution points that are required in order to become an Inner Academy Student and then I can buy a bow with them] thought Damian to himself as he headed towards the Mission Hall.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
