The Copy Mage Chapter 94

Damian woke up to find that he had handcuffs around his hands.
"What happened" mumbled Damian to himself as he thought about what had happened before he lost consciousness.
Remembering the battles that he had, the last thing he remembered was pouring all his energy into a final attack that he launched at the Terra Fighter that had struck him while he wasn't ready.
No matter how much Damian tried, he couldn't get the cuffs off and they seemed to have dampening properties that didn't allow him to wield his energy.
[These handcuffs are extremely effective against Internal Cultivators] thought Damian to himself as he struggled to get out of the handcuffs.
He was in a small room that was blocked off and locked, without any windows, and without his Internal Energy, Damian was quite weak and useless and didn't have any way to defend himself.
[Utsusu, what happened after I fell unconscious] asked Damian, beginning to get worried about what would happen next.
After Damian had lost consciousness, word of his battle had spread around the academy and the incredible feat that he had accomplished, after being in the academy for slightly over a month, was too miraculous to not be spread.
Some of the elders were considering taking him as a direct disciple and giving him resources to nurture him under them, which would make him of a similar status to a high-level Inner Student even though he was still an Outer Academy Student.
Most elders would take in a few students that they would teach and nurture and in the future when the students became strong and influential, the power and influence of the elder that taught them would also increase.
However, one elder, who was also the elder that had taken the case of Damian's battle, wanted to get rid of him.

Such a threat couldn't be allowed to grow, especially with so many rising talents that were coming up the past few years. This particular elder hated the academy swordsman Darren who could do as he pleased, and didn't want another talented young student to surpass him in terms of status and strength.
He was the head of the Ray family and after realising the talent and potential of his illegitimate child Trevor and the talent of all his other children, wanted to remove any obstacles or people that threatened his children's future positions, that would increase the influence of the Ray Family.
Most large families that were not noble or royal families would have an elder of Akegria Academy as their leader and would all send their youths to Akegria Academy to nurture them and increase the strength of Akegria Academy and their own family.
After Damian's battle had completed he was taken into a recovery room while the Terra Fighter was urgently taken to a medical centre to be operated on after the severe damage that he suffered.
As soon as Elder Ray, who had come to the academy for a visit and to complete his duties, heard of what had occurred, he rushed towards the arena.
He ordered for Damian to be placed in a holding cell, and because he was an Internal Cultivator, after wearing Energy Dampening handcuffs, there wasn't much he would be able to do.
Damian's Fire Spear had managed to pierce so far into the Terra Fighter's body that it struck his spine, and because of it, he wouldn't be able to walk again for the rest of his life unless a miraculous medicine was used to heal him.
The academy wasn't willing to use such miraculous healing treasures on the Terra Fighter that wasn't worth the cost and he would probably never be able to walk again in his life.

After he awoke he would be judged by Elder Ray and punished according to the academy rules because of the damage that he dealt another student in a battle.
Utsusu informed Damian of everything that he had heard and seen after Damian had lost consciousness and also told him about the injuries that the Terra Fighter.
Damian thought to himself about how horrible it would be to live the rest of his life unable to walk, but he didn't feel bad about how the battle turned out in the slightest.
The Terra Fighter wanted to deal Damian as much damage as he could and if he had the opportunity would have killed Damian, so why would he feel bad if he did to the Terra Fighter what the Terra Fighter wanted to do to him.
What he was more worried about was what was going to happen to him next.
"Outer Academy Student Damian, please follow me for your trial with Elder Ray" stated the academy helper that was the judge of the battle.
[So I have a trial with an elder, hopefully, he isn't an elder that will be against me. But that surname is familiar] thought Damian to himself as he followed the academy helper.
He seemed to be in a detention centre and there were impenetrable metal cells for those that were External Cultivators and ordinary cells for Internal Culivaotrs who could be suppressed with the energy dampening cuffs.
With the energy dampening cuffs on, Damian had no way to try to escape, and even if he wanted to, he wouldn't be able to get far in the heavily guarded academy that also had students and members within that were much more powerful than him.
He was led out of that centre and into what seemed to be a large hall-like courtroom that had a stand in the centre and seats all around it like a colosseum.
The academy helper led Damian to the stand in the centre and walked away with a helpless expression as he felt slightly sorry for Damian who had been forced into the situation that he was currently in.
Damian took deep breaths and kept calm despite the large crowd watching him in cuffs and from before him came out Elder Ray on an elevated platform.
"Damian, you have committed a grave sin and this will be where your public trial will be held" announced Elder Ray with a small evil smile.
