The Copy Mage Chapter 73

Damian stood up and had only managed to recover less than half of the internal injury he suffered, even after expending large amounts of energy to fuel his rapid recovery.
But he could move with it and he had become the support in this situation, seeing the strength that Milo was displaying that surpassed his own massively.
Flame Reinforcement
Fire Ball
Damian streamed large amounts of fire energy and coated his body with it, reinforcing his body to match that of a rank 2 external cultivator, then formed an explosive fire ball in his right palm using the Fire Ball skill.
Damian watched the battle from the sidelines and was waiting for the right moment to strike the monkey beast, that he could see was fast and intelligent.
Waiting for the moment that the monkey beast was in mid-air and couldn't change direction, Damian waited until the monkey beast had jumped over one of Milo's attacks to hurl his Fire Ball at the beast.
The fire ball blitzed through the air and the monkey beast, that seemed to be observing Milo and Damian like test subjects, was shocked by the attack that seemed foreign to it.
From the energetic and playful way that the monkey beast was dealing with Damian and Milo, Utsusu had gathered that it was still a young beast, but from the intelligence and ability it displayed, it could be an extremely powerful beast in the future.
With no way to move in mid-air, Damian believed that the attack would hit the monkey beast, but what he didn't expect was for it to latch its long and flexible tail to Milo's tusks and pull itself towards the ground and out of the way of the attack.
{Damian do not prioritise killing it and make it your main priority to escape as it is still a young beast yet has such high level intelligence for a beast and is also powerful. While battling against you and Milo it doesn't seem to have malicious intent and has been holding back the whole time} advised Utsusu.

Damian had come to completely trust Utsusu and up until that point, Utsusu hadn't been wrong once.
"Milo we need to get away and should try to escape without battling the beast" called out Damian to Milo who was attempting to strike the monkey beast that was easily dodging all his attacks.
"I agree and can't sustain this form for much longer" agreed Milo.
"We will launch an attack with all our power, then as it is dodging, we will turn back and escape towards the village" planned Damian, seeing the carriage as the only possible way for them to actually be able to escape.
With a plan prepared, Milo and Damian both prepared large amounts of energy to unleash their ultimate attack to occupy the beast, so that they could get away.
Damian formed two fire balls with the Fire Ball skill, one in each hand, while Milo streamed more energy and increased the strength of his fists and his legs.
Both of them in sync with each other launched their attacks as Milo burst towards the monkey beast with his boosted speed and launched a powerful fist, while Damian threw both the fire balls, that he had formed, at where the monkey beast would dodge to.
Instead of waiting to see the effect and impact that their attacks caused, both of them turned around and using all the speed they could muster, dashed in the opposite direction towards the village and away from the monkey beast.
The monkey beast dodged Milo's fist, but wasn't able to dodge both the fire balls and had nothing to latch onto or use to move mid-air, as he was struck by the two fire balls and launched crashing into a tree in the distance behind him.
The monkey beast had blocked the attack with his arms and with its incredibly durable and flexible body, it had only suffered minimal damage from the impact and the fire balls.

It could easily chase after Milo and Damian, that were running off in the distance, but instead, it stood up and smiled at them as they ran away without turning back.
The monkey beast was just like a child playing with other children, but little did he know he had scared Milo and Damian, who thought they were about to be killed.
Damian after reaching a few dozen metres away turned back and caught a glimpse of the seemingly smiling monkey beast, before it turned back and headed towards the centre of the small forest.
[What a weird beast] thought Damian to himself.
But despite what he saw, he still didn't stop running and only stopped after hiding inside a vacated home that was near the centre of the village.
Milo, as soon as they found a place to hide, deactivated his beast bloodline transformation and panted heavily, gasping for air.
Milo began to recover his massively drained energy, while Damian also deactivated his Soul Spirits as he felt his internal injury worsen from the forceful movement and use of energy that his body wasn't capable of safely doing while injured.
"We only barely made it and the beast showed us mercy and allowed us to leave" uttered Damian to Milo who nodded, knowing that they would have never been able to get away if the monkey beast used its full power.
"It seems we lucked out" stated Milo who was thankful that he was able to get away with his friend alive.
Both of the intelligent and attentive youths had noticed the playful behaviour of the monkey beast, but couldn't understand why the beast didn't attack them with malicious intent.
"I guess the only way we will know is if we return when we are stronger" mumbled Damian as Milo nodded in agreement.
Both of them had strengthened themselves and completed their mission, the only thing that was left was for them to return to the academy and continue their training.

I Totally Don't Have Anger Problems!
Discontinued 7/11/2020 Sorry if anyone was hoping for more updates. It seems I'm losing interest in the character as time goes on - not sure if that's due to miscalculated character development direction or just a limited amount to express in the first place. If I do any writing projects in the future, I'll make sure the premise has a lot of room for long-term, interesting, development before posting anything. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback! I’m Talia Shimada, and my life just got a lot more complicated. One moment I was just doing some regular investigation of an interesting boy from my senior year in high school, and then suddenly, everything went wrong and I was stranded in another world in the middle of nowhere. It’s not my fault he left a clear line of sight to his house keys where they could be photographed and replicated on a 3D printer! Now I’m stuck in the middle of a giant forest with all these annoying creatures that keep attacking me until I SMASH THEM INTO PIECES AND STOMP ON THEIR REMAINS, surviving off of raw meat and, well, other kinds of raw meat. What, am I supposed to know which plants are edible in some far-away wilderness on another PLANET!? This is a planet right? It has to be! What did I do to deserve this? At least that class I got is useful. Now, when something doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, I can keep smashing it until it CAN’T BE A PROBLEM ANY MORE BECAUSE IT’S NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL! If anyone else tries to get in the way of my plans, I’ll just PICK UP THEIR PUNY BODIES AND THROW THEM ASIDE and watch them sail away, never to trouble me again, because I am DONE having people mess with my life and not being able to do anything about it! From now on, anyone who tries will get to briefly realize their error as I SMASH THEM INTO PASTE BECAUSE THEY PICKED A FIGHT WITH THE WRONG WOMAN! I totally don’t have anger problems! Updates Sundays and Wednesdays, occassionaly Fridays

My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.

The Faction Contributor [Sci-Fi LitRPG]
While casually studying for his upcoming university exam, Aven suddenly felt the world around him start warping. It started with flashes of light appearing from nowhere, quickly escalating into his whole world becoming an absolute mess of flickering pixels and chaotic color flows, as if reality had become a malfunctioning glitched screen. What he could recognize as numbers, letters, and strange symbols flew everywhere around him, obviously trying to form a coherent whole to be displayed before his eyes, but such attempts kept failing, again and again. Before he could even start thinking about how both mesmerizing and absurd this spectacle was, however, it all stopped, as suddenly as it had begun. Accompanying the end of this unique show, 2 things happened. First, knowledge had spontaneously appeared in his mind and he could perfectly understand it, as if it had always been there, just inaccessible. Second, a weird simultaneously hot and cold energy had made its apparition inside his body completely unannounced. Aven had just simply and purely awakened his innate ability and the energy potential of his cells, joining the world of the supers, a minority that had always controlled and protected the world since ancient times, by becoming one of them. *** Do you have a sci-fi itch to scratch? Maybe that story can help~ It’s not a comic story that doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s also not a grimdark story, going to the depth of making sure the environment is the worst one ever. It’s just a serious story, a rational one, one you can comfortably dive into, written by a guy who already got some writing experience by having seriously written more than 2 000 pages of another serious story prior to starting this one. Enjoy *** Update: 3 chapters every week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Chapters: Around 3 000 words each.
