The Copy Mage Chapter 69

Damian and the berserk boar beast charged towards each other, both moving at great speeds.
Milo who was struggling to stay conscious, was watching Damian and couldn't help but think that Damian was crazy for wanting to clash with such a large beast directly.
Just as the beast's tusks were about to strike Damian, Damian suddenly fell to the ground and slid below the beast.
Fire Fist
While sliding across the ground as the beast ran over him, Damian streamed large amounts of fire energy into his arms, and both his fists, as he activated the Fire Fist Skill in both his hands.
Damian had many wild and outlandish plans while battling, that didn't match his small and seemingly frail build, as his back was scraped against the ground while sliding at rapid speeds.
As Damian slid under the body of the large boar beast and between its legs, Damian struck its two front legs with his Fire Fist skill that was activated in both hands.
The impact and the loss of balance propelled the beast forwards, launching it flying and crashing into a large tree.
Damian had used the beast's size, speed and momentum against it to launch it flying into a tree and injuring it internally from the impact with the tree while also immobilising it with his attack to its front legs.
Standing up, Damian's academy robes were shredded along with his back, that was leaking blood, from sliding on the rough ground while moving quickly.
Not underestimating his opponent, Damian stood up and dashed towards Milo who was quite close to where the beast had crashed.
Carrying the barely conscious Milo, which was made quite easy with his Flame Reinforcement, Damian lay him a few metres away from the beast, where he would be safer.
"Damian your injured" uttered Milo seeing the back of Damian's robes that were dyed red.

"Don't worry it's fine" reassured Damian who was yet to feel any pain with the adrenaline rush and energy that was coursing through his body.
He carefully approached the boar beast and was pleased to see that the head of the boar beast was leaking blood after not only being struck by Damian's Fire Fist previously, but also crashing into a tree, head first, with great force.
Fire Ball
Damian who was on high alert and very careful, wanted to make sure that the beast had died and wouldn't suddenly attack him, when he wasn't ready, so launched a ball of fire energy at the head of the boar beast.
The Fire Ball caused a small explosion on the head of the boar beast and widened the wound on the boar beast's head, while also damaging its skull slightly.
Damian was shocked by the minimal effect of his Fire Ball, but was reassured that the beast was dead and could no longer move.
[This beast has a lot of meat which should be worth something and that fur is amazing. It is thick, tough and isn't flammable like other furs] thought Damian to himself, wanting to use the beast's body to its fullest.
"Milo can you move" asked Damian as he walked over to him.
"Hardly" uttered Milo as he struggled to stand up.
Damian reached Milo and helped him get up, but Milo who accidentally touched Damian's injured back causing him sharp pain.
"We need to get you back to the academy infirmary" stated Milo seeing the deep scrapes on Damian's half-bare back.
"Yeah, but first we can finally sort out your problem" announced Damian excitedly.
"Really, I will finally be able to cultivate" exclaimed Milo from his fatigued body.
"Yes it has always been possible for you to do so, but what you didn't have was a base to cultivate on. Have you ever felt that your Soul Spirit was empty and was a vessel for something else," asked Damian.

"Yes, that's exactly how it feels. How did you know" answered Milo shocked by Damian's knowledge of his body and curious as to how he knew.
"I read about it in my younger age in a secret book. There is a special Soul Spirit that some people have and their Soul Spirit can't be used until some conditions are met" replied Damian, making up an excuse to how he knew the information, without revealing the existence of Utsusu.
"So what are those conditions," asked Milo enthusiastically.
"From what I have read that matches with you, your Soul Spirit is one that allows you to gather and absorb bloodlines of beasts and with them, you can cultivate yourself and the beast bloodlines within your body" explained Damian.
Everything he said seemed far fetched and unbelievable, but at the same time, Milo felt as though he was telling the truth and everything he said matched what he was experiencing.
"So what do I need to do" asked Milo to Damian, still believing his words despite how unbelievable they sounded.
"Well for that I am not exactly sure. But you must either drink the blood of the beast, eat its meat or consume its beast core" answered Damian with a wry smile.
Utsusu wasn't sure of the exact method for Milo to consume beast bloodlines, but it may be similar to the way that Damian was able to copy Soul Spirits through the blood of people.
Milo wasn't sure whether what Damian was telling him was real or just a cruel prank, but he still couldn't shake off the instinctive feeling that he was telling the truth.
"Okay I believe you, let's do it" declared Milo as he approached the dead body of the beast, supported by Damian.
Sitting on his knees beside the beast Milo felt slightly disgusted by the thought of having to drink the blood of the dead beast, but if it allowed him to cultivate it was more than worth it.
Scooping some blood, from the puddle of blood that the dead beast lay in, in his palms, he sucked the warm dark red blood into his mouth and swallowed it down with a disgusted expression.
Milo didn't feel anything and after a minute or so he was beginning to doubt whether what Damian had told him was true.
"Are you sure about th..." asked Milo before suddenly stopping as he suddenly began to experience excruciating pain all around his body.

There's a reason people made the word improbable. Just because something would never happen based on common sense or reason, doesn't mean it can't happen. For example, a soul maintaining their memories through the River of the afterlife, a stream of ethereal energies that remove and store memories from the recently departed only to return when they die again. Another example, a soul by it's sheer will maintaining awareness during the process of a new body's development; nearly infintesimile chances of happening, but there is still a chance. Hi, you can call me Esseu (S U) and I managed to do both of those nearly impossible things back to back. My reward for such a feat? I was turned into a glorified bee keeper. 8 193Faeos Book One: The Stuff of Legends
A ragtag assemblage of adventurers, scraped together by seeming circumstance, investigate the theft of an ecologically essential artifact. In so doing, they find themselves embroiled (as adventurers so often do) in the larger machinations of a mischevious gnome, a determined mage or three, and a dire threat to their homes. Based on a homebrew Pathfinder campaign begun several years ago, and still running. Faeos is one part combat, one part character building, and one part entirely justified silliness. Blame any lead character weirdnesses on my players, whom I love. Blame everything else on me. Oh, and yes, this should also be tagged "Unreliable Narrator."
