The Copy Mage Chapter 67

The boar beast wildly charged towards Damian within the forest aiming to pierce him with its tusks.
Damian who no longer had any liabilities around him that he had to worry about and was completely focused on the beast before him.
Damian stood with his back to a large tree as the boar beast charged towards him with great speed and power.
Just as the boar beast's tusks were about to strike Damian, he suddenly dodged to the right with great explosive power.
The beast moving at such great speeds couldn't stop and its momentum propelled it forwards as its tusks struck the large tree that Damian was standing in front of.
Damian's plan had succeeded, but looking at the beast he was disappointed to see, that even after striking the tree with such force, the beast's tusks were not broken.
However, the beast was still restrained and was struggling to pull out its tusks from the tree.
Without wasting any time, knowing that every second counted in a battle, Damian jumped onto the back of the large boar beast that was many times larger than himself.
He needed to deal with the beast in a single strike that would kill the beast without allowing the beast to enter its berserk state, that it was on the verge of, and without causing the beast to much pain.
Damian weirdly pitied the beasts and in Damian's eyes, the life of the beast was equivalent to the life of a human, as both were merely fighting for their won strength and survival.
But seeing the innocent villagers and children within the village, Damian had no choice but to end the life of the beast, otherwise many others would die or be injured.
Streaming large amounts of energy into his right fist, Damian prepared a powerful attack to deal with the boar beast in a single strike.

Fire Fist
Holding large amounts of energy in his right fist while reinforcing his right arm to be able to withstand the power of the strike, Damian had already used up half of his energy storages.
The boar beast was jumping and struggling wildly as it attempted to pull out its tusks that were embedded deep into the tree, and Damian could see that it would break free soon.
Striking down on the boar beasts head with all his strength, Damian's fist caused an explosion on the beast's head from the Fire Fist and without checking the impact it had, Damian cautiously jumped off the beast and made some distance between himself and the beast.
The beast stopped moving for a few seconds, then suddenly it began to shake wildly as its strength visibly increased.
Damian's face dropped as he realised that it was the worst-case scenario.
Damian's strike had caused it quite heavy damage and the beast may have lost consciousness or suffered severe brain damage if it wasn't for the sudden burst of energy from the berserker state that occurred at the same time as Damian's Fire Fist.
"My attack has tipped the beast's rage and desperation over the scale and the beast has entered a berserk state" observed Damian.
Damian had already used up half his Internal Energy Storage after sustaining the Flame Reinforcement for a short while and using two skills.
Despite the abnormal density and purity of Damian's energy, he was still at a low cultivation level and didn't have a large enough energy storage to be able to use skills freely in battle.
Instantly Damian's mind began worrying and working at rapid speeds, trying to think of a way to deal with the beast, with Damian's biggest natural instinct being to survive.
From everything that Damian had experienced, he had come to the conclusion that no matter what he did there would always be death and conflict and he should prioritise himself and those that he cared about.

But what he also decided was that he would be the greatest cultivator of all time with Utsusu and would be known as the Copy Mage, that was both powerful and righteous. With that title, he wanted to help people if it was convenient to him along his journey and if he was capable of doing so.
His ambitions were crazy for somebody who was only a rank 2 Mortal in the Outer Academy of the Aria Akegria Academy.
But Damian felt like his progress was unlimited.
[Currently, my main priority is to protect Milo and the village so I have no choice but to take on this beast as in the berserker state that it is in, it will massacre them all] decided Damian courageously.
Clenching his teeth, Damian suppressed the inevitable fear that he was feeling and prepared to battle the berserk boar beast.
The berserk beast crazily blitzed towards Damian with its enhanced strength and speed.
Its speed was shocking and it had nearly doubled from how it was before.
If Damian hadn't kept his distance from the beast after striking it, he would have no chance to dodge the attack, but even with the distance between himself and the beast, he wasn't sure whether he would be able to dodge it.
Flame Burst
Damian burst himself upwards with the Flame Burst, and it was the first time he had attempted to use the skill to jump into the air.
While in the air, Damian grabbed onto a branch of a tree above him and hanged above the boar beast.
The crazed boar beast began to growl furiously at Damian as its energy and vitality was burnt by the berserker state.
{Most beasts can only sustain their berserker state for a few minutes before their bodies no longer have any energy and vitality. So you just need to distract the beast for a few minutes and avoid getting hit} communicated Utsusu to Damian.
With a plan to deal with the berserk boar beast, Damian had a way to deal with the beast, but it was easier said than done.
However what Damian didn't expect was for the enraged beast to charge into and strike the tree that he was hanging from.
The unexpected shaking of the tree caused Damian's grip of the branch to slip and Damian fell from the branch he was holding, that was 10 metres in the air.

As the Godking Wills
The Empire and the Church span almost the entirety of the known world, absent some pockets of lawlessness and the realms of the deceiver. They are governed as a despotic theocracy, ruled in name by the solitary and omnipotent God, Al'Shazan. In practice, Al'Shazan is bored, flighty, cruel and has little interest in ruling the Empire. Instead the Empire is run by the High Priest, Minister of the Treasury, and the Knight Commander of the inquisition. Their job is to make sense of the contradictory nonsense spewed forth by their living God while simultaneously ruling the greatest nation that the world has ever known. The entire time, they have to maintian the facade that Al'Shazan is a benevolent and loving God in order to maintain morale in the general populace. --------- The actual genre for this is more along the lines of a Fantasy Political Comedy/Drama/Thriller. It will not be 'crunchy' (minimal action, minimal descriptions of powers/abilities) but instead be focusing on world building and political maneuvering. As a warning, it is fairly dark.

Web of Isolation
Dane Kain: he was, on the whole, very uninvolved with life. He never had any particularly lingering attachments to life and tended to let himself be carried away by the flow of things, a fact that would become very important after his sudden death when he awoke as something completely alien. Using some half remembered fun facts from his passing obsessions in life as well as a penchant for making things work that simply shouldn't, hopefully Dane will stand a chance as the creation he has now become.
