The Copy Mage Chapter 53

Akegria Academy had 7 main parts.
The Combat Hall, which was where the Fighter and Mage teachers were found, was where the training centres and fields were, and was where the students were taught, if they decided to enrol into either of the courses. It was also where challenges against other students could be placed and where a record of all official duels was kept.
The Cultivation Hall, which was where the External and Internal Cultivation teachers were found, was where they were taught about cultivation and were guided by their teachers on how to use their methods. The Cultivation lessons were compulsory for the first month of being in the academy, but after that, the students were given almost total freedom.
The Mission Hall was where students could place and accept missions of various difficulties and would take a percentage from the rewards from the missions.
The Trading Hall was where students and teachers could put up items for trade or could trade in items, methods, information or any other valuables for contribution points.
The Specialisation Hall, which gave students access to different specialisations such as Weapon Forgery, Alchemy and Rune Carving, was where students could sign up for and go through different specialisation courses.
The Library, where almost all skills, methods and knowledge was found, had three main parts: The Skill Library, The Method Library, and the rest of the library that held records and knowledge of almost everything found in the Gobe Country.
And the Residential Areas, that were split into different ranks, depending on their quality.
Currently, Damian was in the Outer Parts of the Academy and was a white ranked student. To reside in the inner parts of the academy, Damian needed to become a red ranked student, which was the next rank.
That would require him to enter the top 10,000 students of all Akegria Academies within the Gobe Country and keep the position for 3 months, which would grant him many rewards and perks.

To be a Core Student, one must enter the top 50 rankings and keep that position for 6 months, however, most of the talented Core Students would leave the academy to explore the rest of the continent.
Damian was being taught almost everything about the academy from Utsusu, who was constantly learning and gathering information from its surroundings, and had his eyes on the position of a Core Student.
A Core Student would be given the most resources and wouldn't have to worry about contribution points and would focus wholeheartedly on their cultivation as the hopes of the academy.
It also stated that many of them had the opportunity to leave the country and explore the continent, which excited Damian who had always been locked indoors.
His will to be the greatest and live his life to the fullest made it so that he wanted to explore the entire continent and see what the world was like, while also increasing his strength.
But for now, he knew those ambitions were not possible and he would need to focus on the present.
After gathering all his friends, Damian went to the canteen and after showing their academy identification, they were given a tray of food.
They had access to the canteen three times daily for free, and if they wanted to eat more times they had to pay.
The tray had a gloop of porridge, some fruit and a boiled egg.
It didn't look appetising in the slightest, but it wasn't as bad as Damian was imagining and they all ate the food without complaining.
They all seemed to come from hardship and were in no position to complain about the food, as most of them finished their trays, with the leftovers being devoured by Cole and Milo, who had large appetites.

Afterwards, they all wanted to explore the different areas of the academy and see what they could find, but Damian was more focused on cultivating his new method.
Damian didn't pry into what methods and skills his friends had gained, and they did the same, knowing that they would see each other's ability in the future.
All of them had made each other friendly rivals.
Milo and Cole went to the Combat Hall, Julia and Matilda went off somewhere as well, while Damian went back to the residence to continue cultivating.
He was addicted to the feeling of gaining strength and knowledge and decided to cultivate until his Internal Cultivation lesson, then he would explore the academy after his lesson.
His friends were not lazy or didn't want to gain strength, but it was more of they couldn't continue to cultivate right now as they felt drained and fatigued after starting to learn their methods.
Most people cultivating for the first time would become tired after an hour, but Damian had managed to cultivate 6 hours non stop on his first try.
Although Cultivation increased the cultivator's strength and energy reserves, either internally or externally, it was also very physically and mentally draining to go through.
Which was why if it was known that Damian had cultivated for 6 hours in one go and had reached the 1st rank of the Mortal Rank, he would have a big target on his back.
Cultivation was easier with higher a higher talent rank and abundant resources, but most importantly it required determination, hard work and a strong drive and will.
Damian had the talent, along with everything else that cultivation required, apart from abundant resources.
All he needed was time.
Without time to waste, Damian rushed back to his residence to continue cultivating.
Reaching the White Ranked Residential Area, Damian felt that something was off and although he knew most people would be doing something in the morning, he still couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched.
Looking around he couldn't see or sense anybody around him, but he still trusted his instincts and started to rush towards his residence, knowing that nobody would be able to enter.
He was unsure of what he felt was watching him, with his extremely sensitive energy sensing, and wanted to be careful.
"How did he sense us, we are rank 5 Mortal cultivators, he shouldn't be able to sense us" whispered a student to his partner.
"Oh well, we can't do anything now and shouldn't touch him. We should return and report to the boss" decided the other student as they rushed away.
Damian ran as quickly as he could, circulating his internal energy around his body to strengthen his body and he rushed inside the residence and quickly shut the door behind him.
"What could it be that was watching me" uttered Damian while panting.
"Or maybe I was only imagining it" he mumbled as he went to his room and continued to cultivate, feeling safe within his residence.
Little did he know he had caught the attention of many students in the Inner Areas of the academy.

Project TheirWorld: Book Two - Tatterskin
**IMPORTANT: Because I am trying to reconcile some of the consistancy issues due to unexpected changes in how I've decided to write the story, this story is to be renamed/reordered. I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. The Tutorial (completed, but unedited) is now to be concidered as Book One of Tatterskin. Tatterskin will contiune without real inturruption, though "Book Two" is really going to be the rest of the series with multiple volumes. Sorry guys! I've gone and brought the chaos of my real life into the storyverse T-T. ----- Dassah Graydon was just another human woman looking for adventure in her life when she moved to the academic floating continent, the Enclave. But while she wanted to escape her mundane reality, she quickly discovers that her life there – with the exception of all the crazy aliens and the unusual setting – was no different than her life on Earth had been. After spending a couple of months getting used to the place, she finally got the chance to play the popular new VRMMORPG, TheirWorld. As she is drawn deeper and deeper into the game, however, she begins to realize that her in-game life is far more connected to the happenings of reality than she could have imagined. Finding herself in the middle of a conspiracy that threatens her life and the lives of the people around her, Dassah must decide whether she allows herself to be a puppet, or she finds the determination to become the master of her own fate. This is a Project: TheirWorld story, and there is a prequel story, The Tutorial (completed, but unedited) but if I am doing my job, you won't need to have read that to enjoy this one. ____ The story will usually update once a week, sometime on Fridays JST. The updates on Royal Road L will be about 1 chapter behind my main WordPress site found here: Project: TheirWorld. This will change, as the WordPress site will have holiday releases and RRL will not. Thank you for reading, and the support! :) ____
