The Copy Mage Chapter 51

Damian had gathered that all of his friends had unique and rare Soul Spirits from what the inheritance described to him about cultivation and Soul Spirits.
Those that had Soul Spirits when cultivating would use it as the centre of their cultivation making it extremely important and valuable to cultivators who wanted to grow an elemental affinity and a power, as without it you could only use your body and skills that don't have an elemental affinity.
Julia had an Aqua Soul Spirit and was an Aqua Mage that specialised completely on Hydrokinesis, Cole had a Terra Soul Spirit and was a Terra Fighter that specialised on enhancing and fortifying his body with the use of the Earth element and Matilda seemed to have an Acro Soul Spirit and was an Acro Mage that used her voice as the centre of her Wind Power.
However, from what Damian had observed of their Soul Spirits, it wasn't as simple as that and they all had their unique traits and abilities that didn't go with the norm, from what Damian had read.
Julia solidified water, through her Soul Spirit, and without turning it to ice, she formed manipulated the water to form solid objects and weapons, which wasn't explained by what he had read.
Cole used the Earth element, through his Soul Spirit, to fortify and strengthen his body, but it didn't explain the effect it had on his mind that made him battle crazy and completely changed his personality and temperament while activated.
And Matilda's Sonic Scream Soul Spirit, pushed the air around her away from her, through her Soul Spirit, but wasn't completely the same as the Wind element and was more based upon sound, which wasn't stated in what he was reading.
Damian was imagining himself with all of their Soul Spirits that corresponded and linked to all 4 of the base elements and imagined how unimaginable his power would be if he could wield all 4 of them.

But the one that was most mysterious and unexplainable was Milo's, who similarly to his own, didn't follow any element and wasn't restricted to a single ability or power.
Damian's mind was working incredibly quickly and despite the mental strain he was feeling, because of the bombardment of information, Damian continued to try to understand more about the base elements.
After an hour of thinking to himself, Damian slumped onto his bed as he felt as though his head was squeezing on his brain that felt as though it was about to collapse.
Drinking water and circulating his energy to recover to a calmer state, Damian resorted to asking Utsusu for answers, who always seemed to know everything.
[Utsusu from what I have learnt I am unable to understand how mine and my friends' Soul Spirits work under the 4 base elements] stated Damian, hoping that Utsusu could relieve his curiosity so that he could focus on cultivating.
{The information that you have read through was also relayed to me, after you learnt it. After going through what you read, I seem to have understood better than you} stated Utsusu gloatingly.
[Please tell me what I didn't understand] asked Damian pleadingly, curious to what he didn't understand, as he felt as though he completely understood.
{Where you went wrong, was taking what was written in the overview of cultivation as the only possibility. The Golden Flame Master clearly eludes to the fact that in the world of cultivation there is nothing that is concrete and there are always new things to discover and your friends must all have slight variants of the base 4 elements. Nobody has the Soul Spirit that is merely an element and all of them have variations and specialisations. All Soul Spirits that you have come across can be explained by the host's current knowledge, but just like your own, Milo's Soul Spirit is completely unique and cannot be explained by any kind of logic} explained Utsusu boastingly.

Despite the pompous manner in which Utsusu had explained to him what he had misunderstood, Damian didn't refute or get angry and was more infatuated in the addictive feeling of gaining knowledge.
He felt as though he was quenching a thirst for knowledge the more he learnt, but he was also beginning to notice that he couldn't learn everything and that his thirst for knowledge, just like his hunger for strength, was insatiable.
His insatiable thirst for knowledge and hunger for strength was driven and fuelled mostly by his will to do well and become the greatest, carried from his past life.
Understanding what Utsusu had explained to him, Damian felt completely enlightened to what he had missed from the overview of cultivation, that was the first thing he was presented along with the first few pages of a cultivation method.
As he understood what Utsusu explained to him, about what he had misunderstood form the Overview of Cultivation, it seemed as though more of the tower within his mind was unlocked.
It was completely dark and void of light, but the more he understood, the more areas would be revealed and given light.
He felt that he had gained more pages from the cultivation method on the first floor that was split apart into groups of pages.
[It's finally time to begin learning and using this method] decided Damian after he had finished reading and understanding the Overview of Cultivation and felt satisfied with the amount he knew about the base elements, Soul Spirits and cultivation.
Damian had only briefly glanced at the method before recognising what it was, and before he actually read it, he was too excited and wanted to tell Utsusu what had happened to him.
Opening up the first page of the cultivation method, there was the name and a short description of what it was.
[The Golden Flame Method. A heaven-defying method that made the Golden Flame Master, who only had average talent, one of the strongest cultivators on his continent after learning it. Although the Golden Flame Master had only average talent, his perceptivity and ability to learn, was unrivalled and he would have never been able to understand the method without it. It is a method that cultivates the flame within the dantian that are formed by Pyro Soul Spirits. However, it was too profound for even the Golden Flame Master who stumbled upon it to completely learn and understand and the method seemed to be limtless] read Damian.
"I wonder how exactly this method works" he mumbled to himself excitedly as he began to read through.

There are currently 110+ chapters of Path of Blood there. P.S - I started Path of Blood about a year ago so the first fifteen chapters have some problems character wise however I'm currently working with an editor to remedy these to make the story a better read. Anyway, these issues don't last long and since Pob is a story that rewards the patient, only those who've read till the latest will understand how good the story really is....I designed it to get better with every ark, surprises planned at every corner and the eventual ending of Pob will definitely not dissapoint, so stick around and give it a chance. :D
