The Copy Mage Chapter 42

{I wonder who the principle of Akegria Academy is, he managed to imbue his intent into the array that controls the room and helps the students with Soul Spirits find a method that is suitable for them. He also managed to set up a scanning array of some sort to gain an understanding of the students. Capable of so much in this insignificant and secluded country.} observed Utsusu to himself.
{It seems that blocking off the scanning ability on Damian may have backfired, or it may have given him the opportunity to surpass the limits in place of what method he could gain} pondered Utsusu as he began to understand how the room operated.
Utsusu since the moment of integrating with Damian was an infant, however, it had incredible intelligence, sensory ability and maturity.
It also seemed to have knowledge imbedded into it since birth and as it continued to learn more and strengthen with Damian, it continued to unlock more of the knowledge that was already embedded into it.
From the moment it was awakened it continued to spread its spiritual sense around itself and go through Damian's memories to learn and copy anything and everything he could from everybody and everything around him.
On its own, within minutes, it had managed to uncover the truth of how the room worked and was beginning to learn and understand about arrays by continuously studying the arrays that were everywhere within the mysterious room.
The copy book spirit, Utsusu, ironically had the ability to copy anything that its mental capacity was capable of storing and comprehending, and had also rubbed off on Damian who had gained an enhanced memory.
Damian had also seen immense growth and continued to develop both mentally and physically every day as he experienced more of the world.

Julia, led by the intent of the principle, was led towards the 13th row and after painstakingly pushing herself forwards she managed to reach the row that the weird force was leading her.
She walked along the row following where the feeling had led her and found a light blue book.
Falling onto one knee to support her body, Julia grabbed the cultivation method and opened it up excitedly.
Instantly she felt the cultivation method become hers as it integrated with her blood that was fused with her Voltac Identification.
"You have found a suitable method that you have gained ownership of and now must leave the cultivation method library" communicated a voice within her mind.
Before she could even check what was within the method, the pressure suddenly increased as she felt being pulled back towards where she entered from.
"All I can do is pray that this was worth the struggle and can help me" mumbled Julia as she scurried towards the open entrance to leave.
Similarly, most of the students had found a method that was suitable for them, led by the mysterious feeling, and were then all pushed out of the cultivation method library.
All of them stood outside the room waiting to be dismissed by the librarian who checked the methods that all of them had gained and had a plain expression as he passed them all apart from Julia, Matilda and Cole who had all gained E:7 Ranked cultivation methods that were extremely valuable and had their own specialisations and elemental affinities.
After 45 minutes every single student had left the cultivation method library, apart from 2 students.
Milo and Damian.
Milo was being guided by the feeling that the intent of the room led him to, but was shocked to find that no matter how far he pushed forwards, the intent was still leading him forth.

After reaching the 14th row, there was only a single bookshelf left and across the row, he saw Damian also pushing himself forwards to gain a good cultivation method.
However, Milo was bound by the intent of the room and could no longer go any further and follow after Damian who was slightly ahead of him.
Within the room filled with cultivation methods, it seemed as though everybody was split apart and nobody had noticed anybody else and was more focused on their target, including Damian.
But Milo wasn't disheartened in the slightest and was overjoyed by his ability to reach the second to last row, where he was lead by the weird feeling to a thick brown book.
It was one of the 10 E:6 Rank cultivation methods that the academy had.
Milo felt his body about to collapse under the pressure and was only able to reach that point because of his desire to be strong and prove his worth to Damian, but after laying his hand on the method, he could no longer bear the pressure.
The pressure flung him down the corridor and launched him crashing out of the room and colliding with the group of students.
However, he held tightly onto the book and didn't let go the entire time as he blurted out a curdle of blood because of the pressure and the impact he sustained.
It took him a minute to get up and he stood beside his friends as if nothing had happened with a wide smile.
He hadn't even had the chance to check the cultivation method, but he was overjoyed by the lone fact that it was E:6 Ranked and was higher than everybody else in the class apart from Damian.
Damian, on the other hand, was also pushing his body to the limits and the intent left behind by the principle and founder of the academy was unsure of how to deal with an anomaly and didn't have its own intelligence outside what it was programmed to do.
There were a few minutes left, and Damian was crawling along the final row within the cultivation method library towards the single small bookshelf that was found.
Reaching it, Damian felt as though his body would collapse and he would lose consciousness at any moment.
"Utsusu, which one" managed to utter Damian through the blood beginning to rise because of the pressure.
There were four books and a single small and thin scroll, that was neglected and separated to the corner, and Damian had no idea which one to choose and knew that he wouldn't last long enough to check them all.
{Choose the scroll it also seems to be a hidden treasure that they don't know the use of} recommended Utsusu.
[Are you sure] asked Damian looking at the small and thin scroll that seemed flimsy and ordinary.
{I would recommend you to do so, but ultimately it is your decision} stated Utsusu.
Trusting in Utsusu he grabbed the scroll.

Avine: The Journey
Avine, the name recorded in the oldest records of faith concerning the creation of the world. The lands of Avine are in turmoil. A lengthy war recently ended. Casualties were terrible, but not limited to the dead alone. Breakdowns occurred in society, and kingdoms struggled with civil unrest and a never-ending stream of refugees. Mariel Bluegale has lived a relatively uneventful life. Largely sheltered from prejudice by her parents Serin and Arwaro, she grew up in a kingdom that prospered thanks to its strictly neutral policy. But the winds of war are once more on the horizon. Peace is merely the prelude to a new, even bigger conflict, one which may be decided on the identity of one. Release schedule: One chapter a week for the forseeable future. Reality caught up with me, this means I have to scale back my writing time considerably. I promise to finish it, but it will be in pieces, and likely around holidays. As always, any -painful- errors (spelling, flow, consistency or time) please let me know.
