"Next Round - Damian vs Jaspal"
Everybody gasped in anticipation and shock of what was just announced.
"Jaspal, come on stage" called out Ivan.
"Matilda could you please bring Damian from the infirmary," asked Ivan, but also gave her no choice to decline.
As the friendliest and the one that seemed to be closest to Damian other than Milo, she was the obvious choice and jogged off in the direction that she saw Damian follow the nurses to.
She went through a large door that was on the edge of the arena, that led her down a corridor and when she walked down, she saw a large open area with many nurses, injured students and all types of medical necessities.
"Sorry to disturb you, but do you know where Damian went," she asked a nurse that was walking by.
"Who is Damian" she replied unsure of who Matilda was looking for.
"Well, he is a boy that has white hair and yellow eyes that is around the same height as me" described Matilda as she tried to recollect what Damian looked like.
Hearing the description she instantly realised that it correlated with the description of a rumoured child within that was within the infirmary that was favoured by the revered senior medic and Elder Grace.
"Are you a friend of his" she asked trying to gauge whether it was worth being friendly and respectful to the random child.
"Yes, I am looking for him and it is urgent for the newbie competition" she answered quickly, knowing that the entire crowd and competition was waiting on her.
"Please follow me," the nurse said as she hurriedly led her to where she knew that Damian was because of it being the room that Elder Grace last used.
Knocking on the door then walking in, she saw Milo laying on the bed still unconscious as his body was recovering itself, while Damian sat down cross-legged and seemed to be cultivating.

"Damian quickly, it's your turn to battle" informed him Matilda, as she grabbed his arm, pulling him up and dragging him out of the room.
"I will be back quickly" he mumbled as he followed Matilda back to the arena.
While he was cultivating he had already decided that he would win the competition and would make sure that he would beat Trevor ruthlessly in the same way he did to Milo.
As soon as the crowd saw Matilda rushing back through the large door, dragging Damian with her, the crowd began to cheer.
Everybody was excited to see what Damian was capable of in battle and were enjoying the drama he was involved in, that was common in the world of cultivation, while gambling on the results.
Damian calmly walked towards the central stage and climbed onto the stage, facing off against Jaspal.
Under the gaze of thousands, the shy Damian was able to break out of his shell and with Milo and his mother on the forefront of his mind, he felt as though he was capable of anything.
"Give up" stated Damian to Jaspal directly, not wanting to have to injure somebody that he had nothing against.
Jaspal felt his pride being stepped on and in the same way as Trevor also hated those that were arrogant with their rare Soul Spirits and looked down on others like him with a Body Augmentation Soul Spirit.
"Your the one that should give up as it will be me that will defeat you" he refuted angrily.
Damian shrugged, unaffected by his threat which made Jaspal rage even more.
Seeing that they had nothing else to say and excited to watch Damian battle, Ivan walked back to the edge of the stage.
"You may begin" he announced.
[Activate the Maxwell Fire Power] communicated Damian to Utsusu as soon as he was allowed to begin.

He instantly felt his previously clear and changeable energy become hot and burning red as it rapidly circulated around his body.
While Jaspal's body had a thin layer of energy, his body became stronger and was reinforced by his Body Augmentation Soul Spirit.
Wildly charging at Damian, as he roared as loudly as he could in self-encouragement, Jaspal like most others, didn't have any knowledge at all when it came to battle.
Whereas Damian who was affected by his forgotten past memories of watching movies and anime, that were a sub-conscious inspiration to him through his soul, had a much better idea of how to fight efficiently compared to his opponent.
Flame Reinforcement
He felt his scorching energy spread throughout his physical body as he could feel his body's power being strengthened and reinforced.
The skill was instantly recognised by Ivan and many of those in the crowd as one of the most fundamental and useful skills that was learnt for those with Fire Type Soul Spirits.
It was ranked as an E:9 ranked Soul Spirit Skill, that were ranked according to its difficulty, its potential and its power according to the rank of the Soul Spirit, and was a skill that was not widely owned despite its fundamentality because of the rarity of fire Soul Spirits.
"He already knows some skills" observed Ivan who closely watched Damian's every move.
[I will finish this in one move] decided Damian who didn't want to waste any time or energy on this battle that was easy in his eyes, compared to the guards he defeated on the way out of the Maxwell Family.
Damian about to be hit by Jaspal's wild swing to his head, suddenly ducked under and launched a strong fist into Jaspal's now open stomach.
Jaspal was winded by the blow and stumbled onto the ground as he panted for air.
Despite his anger and seeing everybody's ruthlessness and cruelty towards each other, Damian was still very kind-hearted and didn't want to hurt him too much, which was why he didn't punch with his full power and didn't use the Fire Fist Skill that he knew.
"Round 3 Completed - Winner Damian" announced Ivan seeing how easy it was for Damian to knock him down without using his full power.
Damian deactivated his Soul Spirit, walked off stage and headed back to the infirmary.
On his way off the stage, he gave Trevor a hateful glare who gave him an evil and provocative smile that frustrated him.
An enmity between them was formed.
"Next Round - Matilda vs Trevor" Ivan announced.

City of Champions Online
Having found the tragic truth that an art degree is worth less than the paper it is printed on, Jacquelyn Jones is frustrated with her dead end work as a graphic designer for a marketing firm, finding new ways to try and convince people that this week's 50 cent off sale is actually worth driving to the store. She's tried other VRMMORPGs, but they've all been fantasy-based, with a couple sci-fi games thrown in. But she wants something more, something Super. Superhero VRMMOs have had a... subpar reception in the past, in part due to the fact that the nature of most MMOs makes for fairly unheroic tales. After the couple hundredth time blasting the same group of mooks from the same faction on the same street corner of the same city, using the same powerset as everyone else because you only have a few options, it is hard to think of yourself as a hero anymore. But then she heard about City of Champions Online. For the first time, a developer partnered with a tabletop RPG maker to use their system to create a VRMMORPG, and it was one of the systems designed to be used with superhero games! And despite the name, there was no getting stuck in the same city as all the other players. The game world was a detailed replica of the real world, down to having some of the same shops and restaurants in town. She could be whoever she wanted, whatever she wanted. Now, she just has to find a way to become the heroine she's always wanted to be.

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.
