The Copy Mage Chapter 21

"Now that those that are weaker have already reached their limit, we should kick them off the stage," announced Ivan as he emitted an even stronger aura.
The sudden outburst of power launched all those on the stage, sliding away from him and those weaker flying off the stage.
Only 7 were able to stay on stage and all of them were sent sliding back as the pressure became much stronger.
Cole dug his hardened fists into the ground as he slid back to reduce how far he went back as the rest of them were pushed back much farther.
"Max Cole, I will beat you to prove myself to my mother and Milo" roared Damian seeing the distance between them, and was getting heated up in the moment.
Damian was always timid and had never done anything so outlandish, such as challenging somebody in the middle of an arena that was being watched by thousands, especially in his past life, but his drive and the heat of competition made him fearless.
"Call me Cole" he stated quite frustrated, seemingly to detesting his first name.
"But I like your spirit and I am getting fired up now," said Cole with a burning battle intent.
Damian, carrying Milo, and Cole became the centre of attention of the entire competition, overshadowing the others on stage as Julia and Matilda tried to keep up with the three boys ahead of them.
In the arena, there was the glimmering silver Cole who was closest to the handsome man that was covered in a beast outline formed of energy.
The next closest to the man, stood in the centre of the arena, was the small youth with bright yellow eyes and white hair, who was covered in a thin red layer of flames and carried a chubby boy on his back.

Following behind them was a girl who formed a barrier around herself out of water and another girl who was had her mouth open and released sonic screams that were counteracting most of the pressure upon her.
Leaving two other seemingly insignificant youths, that both had minor body augmenting Soul Spirits, that allowed them to strengthen parts of their bodies, which was very common.
There could be multiple very similar Soul Spirits that could have almost identical applications, however, their strengths vary according to their rank, and talent and combat prowess are also important and don't come with a Soul Spirit.
Damian had a large boost in energy after Milo trusted him and streamed all his energy into him, but even with the energy, he was still struggling.
"Just throw that fat trash and compete with me properly," called out Cole.
Although his intention wasn't malicious, it still made Damian really angry that his first friend was being disrespected and insulted in front of him and a large crowd.
Damian circulated what was left of his scorching energy through his body rapidly, with Utsusu's assistance, and glared at Cole with his furious yellow eyes.
The angrier he became the brighter his yellow eyes would shine.
{Calm down otherwise there will be irreversible consequences} screamed Utsusu within his mind, feeling the surge of emotion in Damian's body.
As Utsusu's loud voice resounded throughout Damian's mind, it shocked him back out of his angry daze and pulled him out of the pit of rage he was falling into.
{Keep a clear mind and don't allow your emotions to control you} said to him Utsusu who let out a sigh if relief after seeing that he had calmed down.
Damian felt a weird unexplainable feeling in his body and especially his eyes when he was blinded by anger, but decided he would forget about it and push forth to win the Will Test for Milo.

"The Will Test will end in 5 minutes and your ranking will be decided by your final position after the 5 minutes" announced Ivan with a curious expression, wondering who in his new class would win.
Ivan had an unknown background and had a powerful Soul Spirit and cultivation.
He randomly joined Akegria Academy not long ago and it was obvious his intention was to scout young talents.
The reason for his intention was still unknown.
The upper echelon and principle allowed him to be a class representative due to his power and knowledge that would benefit the students, but he still wasn't accepted and trusted as an elder, which he should be with his power level.
Damian who had calmed down was beginning to feel the burden of carrying the comparingly much heavier Milo and the pressure Ivan was emitting.
The crowds were whispering between themselves and placing bets, while Julia and Matilda were still neck and neck competing with each other.
{Stay in the spot you are in then use a fire burst just before the test ends and you will be able to win with your friend} suggested Utsusu seeing the difficult situation Damian was in.
Damian nodded in agreement with Utsusu's plan and to everybody's surprise, he knelt down on one knee and supported Milo with his back as he continued circulating his energy and ignoring everything around him.
"Get up you coward", "Have you given up already", ".....".
Cole repeatedly provoked Damian crazily, hoping to compete and battle with him, but was completely ignored and began to seethe with rage.
Cole didn't seem to be a bad person, but after activating his Soul Spirit, his normally calm nature became crazed and he seemed to want to compete and battle with everybody.
He decided that he would continue to head forwards and knew he would get his chance to battle Damian in the combat round.
The minutes passed by like seconds, and throughout Damian didn't move an inch and Julia and Matilda had passed him.
The current ranking in the Will Test was Cole first, followed by Julia and Matilda, then Damian and Milo, and the two others who were managed to stay on the arena and were still on the edges.
Cole, Matilda, Julia and Damian stood out as the obvious talents and powerhouses of the class, and despite his flashy ability, most saw Milo as merely a clown.
Nobody completely understood Milo's ability and all he showed them was that he could sprout wings from his back, but because he seemed tired after using it for a few seconds, he was underestimated by them all.
The crowds were let down by Damian, who was the centre of attention, and not doing anything and seemingly giving up.
"Ten seconds left" announced Ivan still hoping to see Damian compete.
"Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven...." chanted the crowd, counting down.
"Two"

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
