The Copy Mage Chapter 6

Storming into their house angrily, Damian's mother felt helpless and as though her family had let her down due to greed and envy.
"Damian get everything you need and pack it up in a large bag so we can leave this family once and for good" she declared.
She had been really frustrated at the situation they had been in for years and had never done anything about it, but had been tipped over the edge after seeing the humiliation her son had been through after the awakening ceremony.
Damian didn't refute but also felt that if he left, he wouldn't be able to shock the family and get revenge for himself and his mother.
Driven by the will of his soul, he would not allow his pride to be stepped on and be humiliated.
"Mother, maybe if we stay we can prove how awesome we are, then leave to show them what they are missing," he suggested, hoping to make his mother proud.
Hearing this, she was shocked by the boy, that was bullied his entire life and wouldn't once fight back, wanting to prove himself and get revenge.
"Son you have been acting weird ever since you have awakened, is there something I don't know about," she asked confused and curious.
Just as he was about to tell her everything that happened to him and was extremely excited to share his weird yet amazing experiences, he was interrupted by a voice in his mind.
{Stop kid, you can't tell anybody about your ability as I told you before, even if it is your mother}, screamed the copy book within his mind.
Instantly his expression changed from being excited to being disappointed.
As he tried to gain composure, it was too late to hide it from his mother, but surprisingly she didn't pry or pressure her son.

"Damian don't worry, we all have our secrets that we cannot share and I will trust your choice," she said supportively, as she calmed down from her anger and gave him a warm smile.
With such a positive and reassuring reply, Damian couldn't help but break down and charge into his mother's arms.
"Mother" he wailed with tears in his eyes as he hugged her like the child he was currently.
"I will never let you down" he declared while hugging her and crying in her arms.
Smiling passionately, she stroked his scruffy white hair.
After nearly a minute of heartily hugging, Damian finally calmed down, wiped his tears and stood before his mum.
{Your so-called mother has the strongest Soul Spirit I have sensed in the area, even though it is still a trashy one, so ask her for a drop of blood and hold it somewhere}
As this resounded through Damian's mind two things shocked him, that she was called his 'so-called mother', but he just ignored it, and had to request something very unusual from his mother.
Seeing her son's troubled expression, she couldn't help but ask,
"What's wrong son, you seem to be changing emotions every minute," she asked baffled by her son's unusual behaviour.
"Well, mother I kinda need some of your blood" he awkwardly requested.
As she heard her son's request, she didn't know how to react and after a few seconds of silence burst out into laughter.
Getting a cup from the kitchen and a knife she inflicted a small cut on her thumb and placed a few drops of her blood.
"Son no matter what you do and are I will support you," she said to him as weird thoughts streamed through her mind.
[What I am, what could she mean by that, am I not human].

{Hahahaha, kid don't worry about that but your mother must be having some wild ideas and probably thinks your a vampire}.
As he heard his Soul Spirit's observation, he almost screamed in shock.
Damian aligned everything he had heard from his Soul Spirit and his mother and concluded that she wasn't his real mother.
However, for everything she has done for him, he had already accepted her as his mother and didn't want to make their mother and son relationship awkward.
Gaining his composure he took the cup from her hand and ran upstairs to his room excited to gain a Soul Spirit.
"The kid I found and raised has grown up so much and seems to know more than he lets on, but no matter what he is still my little child and I won't allow anything to happen to him" she mumbled to herself, watching Damian scurry to his room.
Despite her curiosity about what was going on with her son, she had absolute trust and love towards him and gave him the space that he needed.
[Copy Book, Copy Book what should I do to get started], he impatiently asked within his mind, wanting to begin his journey on cultivation as soon as he could.
He remembered that he would need to take on a head-on attack or have the blood of the user, and would also need to have a stronger will power and mental strength than the Soul Spirit, but didn't know how to begin.
{Kid you know that you will need to have taken an all-out attack and or have the blood of the user, but your body must be able to handle the Soul Spirit and your will power and mental strength must surpass that of the Soul Spirit}, reminded him the copy book, while Damian listened attentively.
{For now, you must summon me by using your mind, will and soul to withdraw me from within your dantian}, informed him the copy book.
Hearing the book's words, Damian instantly followed the instructions that he was told.
He surged his mind, will and soul into his dantian which he subconsciously felt was the right thing to do, and as he did so, he felt a massive surge of the same empty energy he had felt before.
A thick silver book appeared in his hand as bolts of energy from around him collided with the book.
Sarah downstairs felt the disturbance in energy coming from her son's room and just smiled and had a curious expression, but allowed Damian to do what he needed to do and gave him space.
Damian gaped in shock and awe, as he watched what was occuring.
