Derhan Palace, Country B

"He will wake up in an hour. I must talk to Prince Gavin about his father's condition," Cain informed, looking at Assistant Sean who gave him a nod. He heaved a long deep sigh while his eyes were at their King who was still unconscious on his bed.

The old man was going through a lot not physically but emotionally and it was more alarming. As his doctor, it was his duty to make sure that their Majesty would not fall into depression despite the burdens he was facing right now. The King was having a hard time and his health would deteriorate if he continued to stress himself out.

If only Cedric was here so one of the twins could help their father with matters concerning the country. Cain was one of the most trusted people of the royal family so he was aware of confidential matters like the real identity of the current Prince. He was not Cedric but Cedric's twin, Gavin.

Before Prince Gavin left, he already discussed things with him. Gavin asked him to make sure that his father's health was well taken care of and that was what he was doing but the old man needed a serious rest away from all his dilemmas.

Cain excused himself and gave further instructions to the team of doctors and nurses he particularly assigned to be with the King before he left the King's bedroom. He then grabbed his mobile phone and called Kimmy as he walked to the hallway.

He was having breakfast with Kimmy earlier when he received Will's call. They did not even start eating since they immediately rushed to the Palace as soon as he found out that the King passed out.

He yawned. He was unable to sleep well again last night because of Kimmy! That woman would be the death of him soon! He was sleep-deprived because of her!

This morning, he noticed that Kimmy was avoiding his gaze… maybe because she remembered the kiss they shared last night. A playful smile crept into his handsome face recalling how sloppy Kimmy was in kissing so he assumed that it was Kimmy's first kiss and it would be an honor that he was her first kiss.

He could not wait to tease Kimmy about it later, wondering if Kimmy remembered that she was the one who initiated the kiss.

"Will you remember? Or pretend not to remember?" he whispered.

Kimmy's mobile number kept on ringing which caused the smile on Cain's face to be replaced by a pout.

"Hello."

Kimmy finally answered.

"Are you still at Philips residence?" Cain asked.

"No… I'm here at Derhan Palace already… entering the gate now. How is uncle?" Kimmy asked worriedly.

"Still unconscious. He will wake up after an hour," Cain said.

"Alright. Mom is on her way now to see uncle. Do you want to go to the hospital? I will drive at the entrance so you can just meet me up there," Kimmy commented.

"Alright, I'll be heading there," Cain said and ended the call.

Kimmy was already parked at the entrance door waiting for him. Cain immediately went inside the car and even put on his own seatbelt.

"Let's go," he instructed, so Kimmy drove the car back on the road.

"Let's stop there," Cain said, pointing his finger at the nearest cafe they passed by.

"We are unable to eat breakfast so let's eat first," Cain said and went out of the car after she parked.

Kimmy released a sigh of relief because she was indeed hungry so she immediately followed Cain, going inside the cafe.

They sat opposite each other and Kimmy did not know why but she was still feeling conscious that she could not look directly at Cain. The waiter arrived and Cain gave his order and she did the same.

She looked at Cain and their eyes met. Her eyes unconsciously went down to his lips…

Then the flashback of her kissing him last night suddenly appeared before her eyes.

She initiated the damn kiss when they were at the bar. She unconsciously bit her lower lip recalling how good it felt… His lips were on hers. Cain was a good kisser and she would love to kiss him again.

'Oh my! What am I thinking!' she silently panicked!

Without her knowing, her face suddenly became red and she flinched when she felt Cain's warm palm on her forehead.

"Your temperature is normal so why are your cheeks red? Do you feel a headache or hangover? Are you feeling sick?" Cain worriedly asked.

Kimmy did not answer but only shook her head. Her heart was beating erratically that she was feeling uncomfortable and nervous at the same time. It was new for her, those mixed emotions and she was getting confused.

'What is wrong with me!' she inwardly complained, trying to compose herself and calm her heart rate!

"What's wrong?" Cain asked next. Kimmy was acting weird in front of him since earlier and he wanted to confirm if it was because of the kiss. He wanted to know if that kiss was affecting Kimmy greatly like how it affected him.

"Nothing's wrong doc. Just that I'm starving already," Kimmy mumbled without looking at him. She grabbed her mobile phone and acted as if she was texting.

"About last night. Do you remember it?" Cain asked.

Kimmy's face paled… Her brain suddenly went haywire as she tried to think of how to answer Cain. She could not decide whether to tell him she remembered or pretend like some drunkard who usually could not remember what happened whenever they were drunk.

'Oh boy, this is hard!'

"Kimberly, did you hear me? Can you look at me for a while and stop what you're doing with your phone? I know you're not really texting. I want to know if you remember what happened last night at the bar."

Kimmy gulped and finally raised her head to look at Cain who was staring at her rather intently.

The side of Kimmy's lips twitched before she finally said, "I'm sorry…"

"Sorry?!" Cain burst with snapped eyebrows.
