After packing all the pajamas Cain bought for Kimmy, he pulled Kimmy to another clothes section for Women. Kimmy's expression was still dark like the bottom of a pot.

She was still upset since she was forced to buy those pajamas. When she thought they could finally leave the mall, Cain told her that they still had to buy something.

"Where are we going now? I thought we were done." Kimmy asked Cain who was dragging her to another area.

Cain almost forgot about it but Kimmy didn't only need pajamas. She had to put on some underwear as well!

He didn't allow her to refuse nor complain as he brought her to the underwear section for ladies.

Kimmy's jaw dropped after realizing where they were. Her eyes scanned her surroundings, watching the different lingeries around them.

Then she turned to Cain with a questioning look. She eyed him suspiciously.

"What is the meaning of this? Why are we here?"

"What else? Of course, we are here to buy your underwear!"

Kimmy's eyebrows were drawn together when she heard that.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you forcing me to buy such things? And for goodness's sake Cain, this is a lingerie section for ladies. Others might think you are…"

Kimmy was not able to finish her words as he cut her off immediately.

"I am what? I know what you are thinking Kimberly. Stop worrying about my reputation. People will just think that I am here to buy lingerie for my girlfriend."

"W-What g-girlfriend?!" Kimmy reacted right away, a blush creeping over her cheeks.

Cain's lips stretched out into a cheeky grin. Then he whispered in her right ear.

"Don't overthink. I just said it hypothetically. I'm not saying that you are my girlfriend."

Kimmy looked dagger at him before pushing him away from her. He was getting too close, invading her personal space. Her heart started to race rapidly and she was trying her best to slow it down.

"Go and choose several pairs." Cain urged her. "Or do you want me to pick something for you?" he added teasingly.

"Explain to me first. Why are you doing this? I can't understand your actions! Why are you being so nosy about my clothes?" Kimmy complained to him, demanding some explanation.

Cain exhaled deeply. Here they were again, arguing about little things.

'I think I should tell her the truth so that she will stop complaining.'

Cain walked closer to Kimmy who was still glaring at him.

"Do you really know my real reason for doing this?"

Kimmy nodded her head frantically. "Yes, I do."

Cain looked around from left to right. When there was no one around, he faced Kimmy and leaned over to whisper something to her.

"The other night, I saw something I shouldn't have… And it bothers me a lot. You know… I noticed that you were not wearing any underwear last night… so to avoid that incident from happening again. I brought you here to buy more underwear."

Kimmy was tongue-tied after hearing that. The blood rushed on her cheeks and now she was blushing red from too much embarrassment.

'Oh no! What have I done?' Kimmy just realized her blunder.

She reflexively covered her face using both hands. She couldn't look into Cain's eyes. She started scolding and cursing herself inwardly, wishing that the ground would open up for her and swallow her whole.

She wanted to hide from Cain. She was really ashamed of what happened.

'Damn! Did he really see my… Oh my gosh! I can't take it.'

Without saying another word, Kimmy moved around the stall and grabbed several pairs of underwear in a hurry. She was not looking in Cain's direction.

Seeing Kimmy's embarrassed reaction, Cain couldn't help but chuckle. Kimmy was no longer complaining and just started picking lingeries according to her size.

"Kimmy, she's really cute when blushing." Cain just shook his head helplessly, while grinning from ear to ear.

He could feel that Kimmy was too embarrassed to face him. When they were done shopping, Kimmy was very silent. She was walking absentmindedly.

Cain had to grab her arms to stop her from bumping into someone.

"Hey, careful. Watch your steps," Cain reminded her.

To secure Kimmy, Cain was grabbing her and moving her to the side where there were fewer people passing by. He looked like a bodyguard, securing and protecting Kimmy all the time.

Kimmy also noticed his protective gesture. 'This guy, I can't really figure him out. I thought he hated me. But his actions are somehow confusing me. Is this natural since he is a doctor so he has this automatic caring side too?' Kimmy pondered to herself.

Kimmy and Cain had lost track of time. They had spent lots of time going around the mall and shopping. Before they realized it, it was already noontime.

"Kimberly, let's have our lunch here before going back to the hospital."

Kimmy bobbed her head in agreement. She was also starving. Going around the mall and arguing with Cain drained her energy. She should recharge by eating food.

They left some of their belongings at the baggage counter before proceeding to the nearby restaurant.

As usual, Cain surprised Kimmy once again when he opened the door for her. He also grabbed a chair for Kimmy before he sat down on the opposite side of the table.

'Whoa, Cain seems to be a gentleman as well.' Kimmy praised him inwardly as she stole glances at him from time to time.

The restaurant was known for its saucy beef steak so the two of them tried to order their best-selling dish.

They were about to eat when Cain noticed that she had been quiet ever since he told her what he had seen.

He wanted her to feel comfortable, and not embarrassed around him so Cain decided to tease her to change her mood.

"Kimberly…" he called her out.

She raised her head and looked at him.

"Yes?"

Cain cleared his throat first before talking.

"You are my personal assistant. So… I want you to cut this steak for me and feed me. My arms got tired from carrying your clothes so serve me well," Cain said with a straight face.

Kimmy: "..."

'Is he kidding me? Now I take back my words! Cain is not a gentleman!!'
