At Gavin's New Villa

Gavin prepared a romantic candlelight dinner for Brione in their new villa. This was their second night here. He wanted to create more memories and make every moment special for Brione.

He cooked for her as he liked to serve her, treating Brione as his one and only Queen. He doted so much on her. As much as possible, Gavin wished to seize every moment with her, just loving her and forgetting about other things.

He knew things would not be easy as he still had a mystery to solve, unfolding the truth about the incident of his mother's death and Duncan's possible connections to the tragedy one year ago and the search for his missing twin.

Despite all of these concerns, Gavin ensured that he would never neglect his wife nor compromise their quality time together.

Brione was still upstairs, taking a shower. She would go down to join him as soon as she finished. Gavin was glad since he had enough time to set their table.

He prepared three special dishes tonight. He cooked garlic buttered shrimp, saucy beef steak, and spicy chicken curry. He also added side dishes such as potato and green bean salad and baked cheese veggie quesadillas.

He set the table on the balcony so that they could watch the night sky, moon, and stars after dinner. He prepared blankets and hot drinks to fight the cold night breeze.

"But nothing beats a husband's embrace to give warmth to my wife," Gavin smiled cheekily at that thought.

The stars, the moon, and the candles would be their source of light during this dinner. Gavin also made sure to put flowers at the center of the table and scattered some petals on it.

Gavin's lips curled up into a satisfied smile when he was done setting everything up. Only his beautiful wife was missing to complete the picture.

He was about to check on her when he heard footsteps moving in his direction. He also caught a whiff of her fresh sweet scent. He turned around, greeting her with a loving smile on his lips.

His eyes sparkled with delight seeing the fresh-from-shower Brione, wearing her knee-length nightgown.

'Damn! My sweetheart looks hot and stunning as always.'

Gavin smacked his forehead after seeing the thin fabric of Brione's nightgown.

'My wife might catch a cold if she's just wearing that thin nightgown. Did I choose the wrong place for our dinner tonight?' Gavin slightly scolded himself.

As if Brione had read his mind, she raised her hand and showed him that she brought her jacket.

"Don't worry, Darling! I will not catch a cold here," Brione reassured him. She tiptoed and planted a soft peck on his lips upon reaching his spot.

When she turned her head on the table, Brione gasped in surprise, "Oh my gosh! Did you prepare all of this, Darling? I suddenly feel so hungry seeing the dishes!"

"Yes, I specially prepared this only for you, Sweetheart."

Gavin pulled her, guiding her toward her seat. When Brione sat down, Gavin went to the opposite side to take his seat as well.

"Darling? Are you planning to make me fat?" Brione teased him, her eyes still lingered on the delicious, yummy, and mouth-watering food.

Gavin let out a husky laugh. "There's nothing to worry about, Sweetheart. Even if you become fat, I will still love you as always!"

"Hmm, but that's a good idea, Sweetheart! Making you fat so that other guys will stop coveting my wife!" Gavin added jokingly.

Brione pouted her lips as she squinted her eyes at him. "A scheming prince! So you are indeed trying to make me fat?!"

Gavin burst out into another peal of laughter. "Sweetheart, I am just kidding! Even if you eat all of this, you will not become fat. You have a fast metabolism and you are working out."

"Now, come and let's eat, before I change my mind and make you my dinner instead. Do you know that you look yummier to me than the food on our table?"

Brione could only giggle at Gavin's remarks.

"Alright, let's eat first. I need to have energy first to satiate your hunger," Brione said meaningfully while winking at Gavin.

"Darling, let's take a selfie first! Remembrance for our first candlelit dinner here!" Brione suggested as she picked up her phone. She took several photos of them including the food.

The husband and wife decided to have their dinner. If they don't, they might end up making each other as their food.

Brione and Gavin were in the middle of their dinner when her phone rang. Her loud ringtone interrupted them.

When she checked the caller ID, she found out that her PA was the culprit in disrupting their romantic dinner.

"Go on, Sweetheart. Answer it. Maybe Berry has something important to say that's why she called you at this hour."

Getting Gavin's go signal, Brione answered her phone.

As soon as the call got connected, Berry's shrieking voice was heard from the other line. Even Gavin, who was a little bit far from the phone, had heard her voice.

"Brione!!! Guess what! I have a great shocking piece of news for you!"

Brione had to distance the phone from her ear to avoid hurting her eardrums because of Berry's high-pitched voice.

Brione and Gavin exchanged glances with one another before she spoke to her.

"Hey, Berry, calm down. Talk normally, don't shout. Are you planning to destroy my eardrum?"

"I'm sorry, Boss! I just got too excited," Berry apologized as she finally lowered her voice.

"Alright. So what happened? What do you mean by a shocking piece of news?" Brione asked her with intrigue. She thought maybe Gavin was right.

Berry might have something very important to say so she would let it slide for now even though she interrupted their dinner.

"Brione! Our old maid friend, Mitch! She went on a date with Kevin! The head of security of Gavin! Can you believe it?! This is so shocking right?!!"
