Brione sucked in her breath. She smiled at her sister-in-law and said, "No need to worry, please… I am sure now that I'm with him because of who he is. I like him not because of his face but because of who he is to me, Sis. I really can't explain it but there's a strong bond that pulls us together, more than Gavin's face. If he faces any setback, I will be his pillar and as long as he wants me to stay by his side then I will not let him go."

"Hmm, I guess you are already in love with him. Don't worry, whatever your decision, your brother and I will always support you," Luo encouraged.

"By the way, there's one more reason why I'm here. It's because I want to see Gavin's penthouse. I have my team waiting for my signal, Brione. Did you talk to Uncle Damiel about it?" Luo asked because now the urge to finish her investigation was bugging her.

"Yes, I called him and he said it's okay and also that I can even stay there whenever I want."

"Did you mention that you will be handling the cleaning of his penthouse?" Luo clarified and Brione nodded.

"I had to tell him about it since we will be bringing other people inside so it's his right as Gavin's father to know," Brione explained.

"Oh good, hold on a minute and I will call my team," Luo said.

"Do you think we will find something?" Brione asked.

"Hmm, I am not sure but we will soon find out," Luo answered and then excused herself to call her team of undercover investigators who were disguised as a home cleaning team.

Brione sighed. Luo had explained everything to her last night. Her sister-in-law just wanted to get Gavin's DNA sample somehow and check Gavin's relationship with Cedric and Uncle Damiel as well.

She wanted to put the matter to rest and her sister-in-law assured her that she just wanted to wrap up the things she had started or else she could not get a proper night of sleep at all if she was left with any unanswered questions.

Though Brione knew well that her sister-in-law was doing it for her and she really appreciated how Luo and her brother were always there for her.

Luo soon returned and joined her on the sofa. Noah and Cedric were still talking when the team arrived. Luo was the one who went to the balcony to tell Noah that she and Brione were going to check the other penthouse and Noah nodded.

Brione led the way and opened the door to Gavin's penthouse.

Meanwhile, on the balcony, Cedric looked at Noah and asked, "What are they going to do there?" He was aware that the penthouse opposite Brione was Gavin's.

"My wife wants Gavin's DNA sample. If her team is successful in obtaining any sample from there then we can test it against yours and Gavin's father. I think that will solve all the questions" Noah explained. There was no need to hide anything from Cedric since the man was always more than willing to cooperate.

Cedric nodded and looked Noah straight in his eyes and said, "As I said, you can entrust Brione to me, Noah, I will not let you down. I've never been more serious in my life as I am about making Brione, my wife. I am sincere about my intentions towards her and I'm willing to do anything for her to stay by my side."

Noah shook his head. "I hope you understand what you're asking. I'm sure you will face a lot of problems and most of them won't be nice since you and Gavin have the same face. Are you sure you can handle such matters in the future and won't end up letting go of my sister's hand? What if your relationship with her and your future duties for your country clash? Are you saying that you are willing to turn your back to your people just to be with Brione?"

"Yes, if it ever comes to that. Because for me, Brione is already everything to me. But I assure you that things will not come to that. I am confident that I will keep both Brione and my people." Cedric declared confidently.

Noah met Cedric's eyes… And it hit him… That confidence was the same…

'What is this?!' He thought inwardly because that look of determination reminded him of another person who had been just as confident that he could take care of Brione, who had assured him that he did not need to worry… It had been Gavin.

And Gavin proved himself to Noah numerous times and he was willing to give away his sister and entrust her well-being to Gavin without hesitation.

"Right. Everything seems complicated and I understand that. You are probably scared to entrust your sister to someone who doesn't have his memories but then I want to assure you that even with my memory is gone, Brione is the first and last person I want to be with me always till the end of days," Cedric added, hoping he could convince Brione's brother that he was someone who could be trusted with his sister.

"You better take care of this properly and ensure my sister's welfare or else you will personally suffer my wrath, Cedric. I don't care if you're a royal or what connections you have because to me you're just a man begging to be with my sister. Be grateful that I am willing to support my sister as long as I see her happy and in good hands, but if you ever break my trust, I swear…"

Cedric interrupted and said, "I won't."

There was a moment of silence before Cedric continued, "I think you should know this. I plan to take Brione with me to the Palace at the earliest to introduce her to my father and the rest of my family. About the investigation you're conducting, I suggest we join hands as I'm limiting my movements to ensure that the royal family isn't dragged into any issues pertaining to this matter.

I will have my men collaborate with you confidentially. My memory - fragments of it, anyway - are coming back to me but nothing is certain yet. I'm still considering mentioning this to Brione since nothing is certain but I think you should know about this."

Cedric told Noah about his dreams and added, "I will instruct Kevin, who is handling the investigation, to be in touch with you."
