Dungeon Reset Chapter 28

“Alright. Ostrich, ostrich it is!”
Jung Da-woon immediately started working.
Rather than perfecting the ostrich’s appearance, he decided to modify the shape a little bit to focus on practicality.
“It has to have thick legs to be able to support his torso.”
As compared to when he was making the four-legged Kentaurus, he should pay more attention to the ostrich’s center of gravity as it would only have two legs.
But if he made its legs as thick as the Kentaurus, it would be inefficient instead.
So, the soil was first roundly shaped to make the body sleek and round, and beneath it, the bones of the one-horned boar were woven into a long rod-like mandrel and inserted to act as legs.
After making a strong and sturdy leg by covering the surface of the mandrel all the way down with soil.
“For the toes, maybe about three will do?”
The foot was thick and large to make them stable.
Once the earth golem came to life, it wouldn’t matter if the mandrel break or disappear.
It would be able to walk on its own with the power from the core.
“Let’s make a rein to hold while riding.”
A saddle was added on top of the round body.
The two sides were fitted with a Tigeut (ㄷ) shaped handle.
And then he thought about it for a while,
“Hey, let’s also make one on the neck!”
A handle was added to the back of the long ostrich neck.
Who cares if it wasn’t shaped exactly like an ostrich.
The more handles to hold, the safer it would be.
‘It’d need wings to balance left and right when it runs, right?’
A suitably-sized clay plate was attached to the left and right sides of the body, and he added some feather shapes on it.
Swishh swishh.
Swish swish, swish swish.
“…… It’s kind of fun though?”
At first, he tried to make it look like a feather, but he tried adding his own feel to it.
When the leather belt was taken out and the soil was scraped away from the Tigeut (ㄷ) shaped area of the buckle, the feathers that were carved into uniform shapes and sizes could be seen.
There was nothing that could substitute a carving knife here.
The more he carved, the more his hands became stable like a machine, becoming a master of feather carving.
“……Huckk!? When did this much time pass?”
When he came to his senses, it was already dark, and the ostrich’s whole body was fully covered with feathers.
He was so focused that his eyes hurt like they were going to fall out, and when he straightened his back after so long, his spine made a cracking sound.
But he was so proud to see what he had made!
“I wish it could fly like the gargoyle, but that’d be asking for too much from the earth golem.”
When he looked at the earth golem he just made, the neck was so long that it kept tilting forward.
The weight in the front and back was out of balance.
“I’ll have to make the tail longer for it to balance out.”
An ostrich’s tail was usually short, but what else could he do?
Two strands of feather as long as the ostrich’s neck was made and attached to the tail.
It was hard to make it upright, so the tip of the tail was stretched out on the floor.
It was finally done!
“Oh! It looks pretty good!?”

A sleek round body with a pair of long legs and a long neck!
A pair of wings spread from side to side and it even had a smooth two-stranded tail!
A feathery ostrich golem had been completed!
The quality was so amazing that it was worthy of exclamation!
“Keuuu! It’s so awesome. I know I made it, but this one is really just an art.”
He paid more attention and focus on this golem over the other earth golem he had ever made.
Even though the size was small, the quality went up, and he put more effort into making it because he was going to ride it himself.
Now, the long-awaited final task, the earth golem’s core was put into the ostrich’s body.
“Now, wake up!”
Shinggggg!
The ostrich golem’s round eyes glistened at that moment.
The ostrich shrieked, spreading its feathery wings wide and stretching its two-stranded tail feathers high into the sky!
“Cuckoooo-!”
“……are you a chicken?”
“Coo?”
Its long neck wobbled and it tilted its head, looking at Jung Da-woon.
It paused for a moment, but its cries was quite something!
“Come on! Then let’s give it a ride!”
Jung Da-woon immediately climbed onto the ostrich and grabbed the handle.
“Coo?”
“Run!”
The ostrich golem’s eyes lit up in that moment.
And its long legs soared up and powerfully struck the ground.
Booom!“Cuckooooo-!”
“Wahhhhhh!?”
All of a sudden, his head is shaking! Bending backwards, a strong wind swept over Jung Da-woon’s face.
Surprised, he dropped flat forward and grabbed the ostrich’s neck handle.
“Wow! Wh-, why is it so fast!?”
“Cuckooooo-!”
It was a really tremendous speed!
Each time the ostrich’s long legs struck the ground, its speed grew faster and faster.
A gusty wind whirled past his ear.
“Oh my God! What did I just create?”
He was so happy that the corners of his mouth just wouldn’t come down.
Then suddenly his body springed up.
“Cuckoooo!”
“Ughhh!?”
It flew?
No! It was a jump!
With one leap, the ostrich jumped nearly three meters far.
“Cuckoooo!”
Thump thump thump thump!
The ostrich Golem, carrying Jung Da-woon, sped through the wind and ran through the rocky mountain.
Its speed was three times the speed of an elephant golem!
This wasn’t an ostrich, it felt like he was riding on a galloping cheetah.
“Hahaha! This is awesome! But…… I have to pee!”
“Hey, take it easy!”
“Cuckooooo!”
Thump thump thump thump!
“Arghhhhhhh……!”
In any case, the ostrich golem was a success!
Now everything was ready.
* * *
“Then shall we kickstart with a big bang before we begin?”
Jung Da-woon arrived in front of the historic site with all the earth golems.
When he saw the gargoyle standing on the altar far away, Jung Da-woon paused.
As if it was not aware of them yet, the gargoyle did not move at all.
“I need to check something first.”
The gargoyle was some sort of stone golem, so there was a possibility that there might be a core somewhere like the earth golem.
The core was the weakness of the golems. If only he could find it and direct his attack at it, the fight would end easily.
“But if I had to deal with it, I’d rather it not have a core. How would I know where the core is?”
It would be preposterous as he would have to continue bombarding that big and tough bastard with attacks until the core was found.

Besides, if it had a core, then doesn’t it mean that, just like the earth golem, it would be able to regenerate itself if it was damaged?
“That’d be really shitty. Let’s check if it can regenerate itself first.”
He pointed to the boulders around him.
“Guys, lift up a boulder each!”
“Ohhmm!”
Upon receiving his orders, the Kentaurus golems’ put down their handaxes, and lifted up the heavy boulder in a flash.
“Ohhmm!”
“Ohhhmmm!”
They were strong!
Jung Da-woon smiled contently and raised one hand high like a general commanding a great army.
“Everyone, load up!”
“Ohhhmmm!”
The Kentaurus golems’ leaned the rock back like a shot-putter.
They had already practiced it countless times before coming here.
The earth golem was weak when it came to creativity, but they could carry out routine work accurately.
It was time to check the results of their training.
Jung Da-woon slowly lowered his arms and pointed towards the gargoyle in the distance.
“Fire!”
“Ohhhmmm!”
The Kentaurus golems threw the rock powerfully.
Whinnggggg!
Kaboooom! Boom!
“Naisu! It hit!”[T/N: Korean-ish way of saying Nice!]
Two out of the four boulders crashed against the gargoyle’s body directly.
Its body was so solid that it only made a small crack, but that was enough for the gargoyle to open its eyes.
Greukkkk!
Its wings made of stone spread wide.
“Kyao-oh-oh-oh!”
“Ohhhmm!”
Whoosshhhhh! The wind fluttered ragingly.
The gargoyle flew with a terrifying might!
Four Kentaurus golems blocked the front.
The battle began.
Kabaaaam! Boom boom! Baaam baaam!
“Kyao-oh-oh!”
“Ohhhhmmmm!”
In the face of the gigantic monster, quakes spread through the rocky mountains and a thick cloud of dust formed.
It was so rough and intense that if it were an ordinary mountain, it would’ve caused landslides.
Watching the intense battle from afar, Jung Da-woon’s eyes flared up.
“It’s not regenerating!”
Even when quite some time passed, the wound directly hit by the rock was not recovering.
“Does that mean it doesn’t have a core? Then we have a chance of winning!”
The most worrisome concern was finally checked off.
Then the only thing left was to charge at it.
“Since it doesn’t have a core, the weakness should be the heart or the head!”
And even if it had a core, if the head was blown away, it wouldn’t be able to see.
But the head was standing at 10 meters tall, so he wondered how to launch an attack there.
“Aim for the legs first!”
He could also aim at the wings, but the wings on the back were too high to attack, so he decided to break the legs first.
If even one leg goes missing, its center of gravity would collapse and it would be hard to fly properly.
“Focus on attacking the legs! Break its balance!”
“Ohhmm! Ohhhmmm!”
Kabooom! Boom!
The Kentaurus golems relentlessly attacked the legs of the gargoyle as per his commands.
“Kyao-oh-oh!”
The gargoyle spread its wings and flew up high!
A gale was formed at the flap of its wings.
But the Kentaurus golems continued chasing it closely through the gale without a care!
It was significantly faster than the gorilla golem.
“Ohhhmmm!”
The handaxe was ferociously swung.
Kaboom! Boom!
Attacking close up also caused some severe damage.
Crack! Booom! Thud!
The gargoyle trident split the bodies of the Kentaurus golem in two and crushed it with its huge tail.
Fortunately, the core of the earth golem wasn’t destroyed like last time as it was placed on the lower part of the horse.
Jung Da-woon controlled every movement of the Kentaurus golem as he roamed through the battlefield in an ostrich.
“No. 1 and No. 4, retreat back! The rest, keep attacking!”
“Ohhmm!”
While the badly damaged No. 1 and No. 4 Kentaurus golems were regenerating, the rest of the golem launched even more intense attack.
After a while, the two regenerated golems joined the ranks again!
In this way, he constantly alternated the golems attacking, and constantly drove the gargoyle up a corner.
Jung Da-woon also pitched in.
“Stone Breaker! Stone Breaker!”
Thunk thunk! Thunk! Thunk!
Riding the ostrich, he attacked swiftly and retreated, he placed the iron spikes on the gargoyles ankle and striked at it with the Metal Hammer.
The difference in size was so drastic that it was like a mosquito buzzing around, but with each strike, he was steadily chipping away at the gargoyle.
“Kyao-oh-oh!”
Feeling a sense of danger, the gargoyle raised its feet in anger.
When his huge foot stomped at the direction where Jung Da-woon was at, the ostrich carried him and avoided it with explosive speed.
He attacked a couple of times like that.
Jung Da-woon displayed his quick wits.
“Here you go, a gift!”
He dropped a Level 10 mud brick where he was at.
Thud!
‘Two more! Vertically!’
Thud! Thud!
A three meter high earth pillar rose momentarily under the gargoyles feet.
The gargoyle lost its footing on it, and instantly lost its balance.
Leaning!
“Kyao-ackkk?!”
“Now is the time! Get that bastard!”
“Ohhhmmm!”
The Kentaurus golems rushed in, grabbed the gargoyle’s leg and dragged it down to the floor.
Boooom!
The gargoyle fell on the floor along with a huge tremor.
“Kyao-oh-oh!”
“Ohhmm!”
A tug-of-war began.
The Kentaurus golems clung onto each arm and leg of the gargoyle, which was about to stand back up, and persistently held on to it.
The gargoyle struggled violently to get out of it.
“Now!”
Jung Da-woon, who rode the ostrich, climbed on the earth’s pillar and leaped higher.
Pit! Pat!
Then, looking down at the struggling gargoyle which was laying in a 大 –shaped position, he opened his inventory and dropped everything out.[T/N: 大 is a Chinese word for Big. In this context, it means that its posture when it dropped on the floor resembled 大.]
“Since the ancient times! There’s always no business for live burials! About time for one!”
Kwok kwok kwok kwok!
The mud bricks poured down like a waterfall.
“Kyao-ackkkk!?”
Kwok kwok kwok kwok!
A huge pile of dirt crushed down on its body.
It slowly stopped struggling.
Jung Da-woon jumped over it.
“Eat this fucker!”
“Kyao-oh-oh!? Kyao-oh! Kyao-oh!”
The gargoyle’s mouth, who twisted its neck abruptly and tried to bite at Da-woon, was choked up with soil.
Then he clung to the gargoyle’s neck and began to pound like crazy on it with the Metal Hammer.
“Stone Breaker! Stone Breaker! Stone Breaker!”
Thunk thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk thunk thunk thunk!
“Kyao-ack! Kyao-ackkkk!”
Thunk thunk thunk thunk!
Thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk!
The crack in its thick neck began to spread bigger.
He smashed more violently at the gargoyle who was resisting!
Every time that happened, a heavy pile of dirt was dusted off, and the Kentaurus golems had to desperately subdue the gargoyle’s movements.
Jung Da-woon smashed at it with the Metal Hammer with all his might.
“Stone Breaker! Stone Breaker! Stone Breaker……!”
After a short time.
Crack!
“Kyao-ackkkkk…….!”
In the end, its throat cracked and was snapped off.
As if it was all a façade, the gargoyle stopped moving, as if it never moved before.

The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.
