Dungeon Reset Chapter 15

Translator: WH
As time went by, Jung Da-woon gradually became accustomed to fighting.
His fighting method of throwing mud bricks to keep the wolves in check was a bit strange, but as he repeated it over and over again, he started to have his own know-how.
For example, if he threw the dirt under the wolves feet right away, or if a wolf loses its footing and dropped in a pre-dug hole, he could bury it right away.
[It’s a pervert! There’s a pervert here! I said you’re a pervert! Can’t you fight like a normal fighter?]
“What do you want from me? I’m fighting fair and square with the skills I have.”
[Don’t be ridiculous! Fair and square my ass, you’re just wrecking it however you want.]
The Rabbit stomped and expressed its irritation, but Jung Da-woon did not care.
He became a little stronger, but once bitten, he would die all the same.
Rather than fighting stylishly like others, it was more important to fight safely and efficiently by using all possible means now.
“Hmm. But wont these wolves go even crazier when they smell blood? Is it just a feeling?”
[Hmph. It’s a monster. Of course it will. The smell of the canine’s corpse and blood is no joke. Ughh, this smell!]
The Rabbit held his nose and teased him.
In fact, Jung Da-woon’s body has been stained with the blood of wolves he killed.
The smell of blood from its kind that flows out was what agitated other wolves.
Moreover, as the hunting continued, the smell of the blood was getting stronger and deeper, bringing in even the other wolves from the distance far away.
At this rate, he thought it might become dangerous soon.
He was in great danger because he didn’t know where the frenzied wolves would jump out of.
“But it’s annoying to go back to the hideout every time and take a shower. And it’s a long way from here.”
[By any chance, do you perhaps find breathing to be bothersome? Why don’t you just die? You’ll feel more comfortable.]
“Oh, that’s right! I just thought of a good way.”
[…….]
When Jung Da-woon suddenly clapped his hands, the Rabbit felt uneasy.
[I don’t know what it is, but can we not do that?]
“I can just make a waterway for the pond water to flow here. Then I can just take a shower here and there.”
[What the hell?]
The Rabbit thought that the human was seriously saying some strange nonsense again.
But the real problem was that this human always makes the nonsense he says into reality as soon as he finished speaking.
Jung Da-woon immediately went back to the hideout, and he looked at the pond and held his chin with pride.
“Hmm. Even though I made it, but it’s still so beautiful every time I see it.”
[What a load of bullshit. Do you think you’re a master architect?]
From the mouth of the clay-made lion fountain, clear underground water was still gushing out as usual.
And drains were also made in the corner to keep the water from overflowing.
To be honest, if it was kept this way, it would have been a waste of water.
There is a limit to the amount of groundwater present here, so one day the water source may dry up.
“But when the Dungeon is reset, the groundwater will be refilled again, in the end, this means that this is a fountain that will never dry up.”

[So you’re going to create a new waterway and take this pond to that far-off distance?]
“That’s right.”
[Honestly, isn’t this just bothersome? Can’t you just live-……No, let’s just not talk.]
There was no point in saying any more. He was already digging.
Like a little kid who just found a new toy, his eyes glistened.
He looked excited already as he could imagine a long waterway connecting the hideout to the exit.
[Why is this human thirsty for this kind of fun…… should I get you a toy somewhere?]
The Rabbit sighed and disappeared.
It was sure it’ll be finished by the time it came back.
* * *
Frankly, digging the waterway only took a day.
If there was a slope, it would have been complicated because the water would not be able to flow due to gravity, but it was easy to connect to the bottom of the stairs that led to the exit because there was no slope.
However, it took two more days to build a bathtub facility.
There was also the design to think about, but it took longer to ensure that it was practical.
It took more time than expected as he had to tear the trap wall out of fear that the floor would be slippery and instead, he put a bumpy stone plate on the bathroom floor.
However, as he took his sweet time, the results were quite satisfactory.
Seeing that, the Rabbit commented on it.
[Is this a local bathhouse?]
“If you’re here, why don’t you stretch your back a bit.”
[Holy shit. You even made a towel!]
The rabbit turned pale at the sight of a row of towels hung next to the bathhouse, which were made by grinding leather roughly with whetstones.
But that wasn’t the end.
“Why’re you surprised with just that? There’s soap as well.”
[What! Did you just say there’s soap!?]
Soap? Having soap in the dungeon?
Would there be anything crazier sounding than this!
But the Rabbit was really shocked when it saw the heart-shaped soap in Jung Da-woon’s hand.
“I made it because I thought I needed soap to clean my blood.”
Jung Da-woon shrugged as if it was nothing.
In fact, it is not that difficult to make handmade soap as long as the necessary ingredients are available.
1) Put the fat of the one-horned boar on fire to produce oil.
2) Mix ash powder in water to make lye.
3) Leave the lye that has been made for a while and after it settled down, filter out the clear water.
4) Add oil little by little to the filtered lye and stir for a long time. (the scent or quality varies depending on the additives)
5) Once the viscosity looks moderately thick, put it in a bowl and cool it down.
6) Lastly, cut it into the shape you want and use it.
“And what came out of that was this heart-shaped soap!”
[What was even worse was that it was heart-shaped! It’s the one shape that didn’t suit the dungeon!]
In all honesty, soap wasn’t such a big deal, but at this point, the Rabbit was someone who didn’t like everything he did.
Either way, Jung Da-woon finished a refreshing bath and began to focus on another task.
Shluckkkk! Swishhh!
A flat stone plate was grinding sharply on the whetstone.
“Oh, this? I’m making a stone axe. All you have to do is wind it with a rope at the end of a wooden stick.”
[What will you use that for?]
“What else would I be doing? What else can I do with an axe?”
[ Hunting?]
“Bleep.”
Jung Da-woon began to cut down the tree with it.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thump! Clackkk!
He was swinging at the roots of a tree that stretched down from above ground.
The stone axe, which was well-sharpened by the whetstone, began to cut down the thin and thick roots of the tree at random.
Occasionally, the skills he got from the one-horned boar was activated, and the speed was even faster.
[Ha. You didn’t have enough fun with laboring away, and now you’re a woodcutter this time?]
“Trees are useful in many ways you see.”
Thud thud! Clackkkkk!
He wasn’t cutting it down because of the rough situation he was in, but because trees were the most precious resource for humans.
It can be used to make fires, and it’s easy to process, so it can be used to make simple tools, equipment, or buildings.
And Jung Da-woon was now deciding on what he was going to make, and he picked the thick and sturdy ones of the cut-off tree roots, and laid them side by side on the floor.
Then he picked a long tendon that he obtained from the one-horned boar and began to weave the trees in a row.
The Rabbit, who was sitting idly by at the sight of him with a soulless expression, felt that something strange was about to happen.
Something strange was going to be completed soon.
[What are you making now?]
“A raft.”
[What did you just say, you shithead?]
The Rabbit doubted his ears for a moment.
But he meant it literally.
This human, he was really making a raft!
[Are you seriously crazy? Why are you suddenly making a raft underground?]
“I’ve made a few waterways, and it’d be fun to go back and forth to the hideout on a boat……No wait, don’t you think it’ll be convenient?”
[You just said it was going to fun, didn’t you! Do you think the Dungeon is a joke, you bastard!]
“Oh my, why not! LOL.”
[Don’t laugh!]
Now, it didn’t even have the energy to be annoyed at every single thing he did.
In the end, Jung Da-woon completed a cute raft that was about the size of the waterway.
And he put it gently on the waterway.
“Oh! It floated! It’s floating!”
[… …it’s floating properly huh.]
Jung Da-woon happily climbed on the raft.
And he pushed the river bed hard with the long root of the tree that he had prepared as a substitute paddle.
With a stern look like a boatman in an eastern movie.
Then the raft paced forward.
Jung Da-woon cheered with excitement.
“Oh, It’s moving! It’s really moving!”
[Hmph. What a weird thing to do. Get out of here.]
“Hey Rabbit, you get in too!”
[……Me too?]
When Jung Da-woon suddenly called, the rabbit jumped on the back of it.
And the two traveled back and forth the waterway ten times or so.
“This is fun!”
[……Hmph. It’s not fun at all.]
The Rabbit said that it was not fun, but had no intention to get down.
To be honest, it thought that this was kind of fun.
* * *
This completed the hunting system.
He went to work on a raft in the morning.
He would take a shower after hunting once, and then hunt one more time and eat.
Then at night, he would take a shower and went home on a raft.
His diligence in making the raft paid off.
His mobility got faster and the smell of blood was removed by taking a bath, so it was much safer to ambush and run away from the wolves.
“That’s it for today! Time to get off work!”
“Pokyuuuu!” (T/N: Pokyuu with a double “u” is the name of the ground squirrel, if there’s extra “u” or if a repeat of the word comes out, its actually the squirrel talking. In case it was getting confusing. And changing it to a somewhat English sound didn’t seem right!)
Pokyuu, who was a little afraid of water at first practiced several times, and was now on the raft and waited for Jung Da-woon.
Everything was going smoothly.
He got used to fighting wolves, and now he can fight up to three wolves at the same time.
And when he was about to try four, the wolves didn’t show up even when he went outside.
“Huh? Why can’t I see a single one? Did I kill them all?”
[…….]
At his question, the Rabbit had a silent, heart-broken look on its face.
That was the answer.
“Holy, for real? Wow, finally!”
That day, Jung Da-woon came up to the ground for the first time and stretched himself to his fullest extent.
“Whoa! Was the air outside always this clear and clean!”
It was as if he had awakened from a long sleep.
Of course, it was a temporary peace that would soon break out if he left this area, but he still wanted to enjoy this moment.
“So, where shall I go now? I need to first know where I am to find the other participants. If I wanted to go out of the woods, which way……?”
[Why would you ask me that? I wish you’d just die as a lost child in the woods. Sigh.]
He glanced at the Rabbit with hope of looking for an answer, but the Rabbit flatly refused him and flew up into the air.
It was going back to where the participants were.
Jung Da-woon closely watched the direction of the Rabbit’s flight, but the Rabbit who was conscious of him became transparent in the air and hid its appearance.
[Hmph. Who cares!]
“Wow. I’ve had enough, what a cold-hearted Rabbit.”
Jung Da-woon shook his head, smacking his lips.
There was nothing he could do about it.
He didn’t expect much from him anyway, so he decided to explore the area, which was the other method he had thought about.
He asked, looking down at his little friend gnawing at the bone beside him.
“Do you know where the other contestants are?”
“……Pokyuuu?”
“I’m talking about humans, you know, humans.”
“……Pokyuuuu?”
“……?”
“Kyuuu?”
“…….”
The little ground squirrel had a face that felt as if it was saying it didn’t know what he was talking about.
Well, the palm-sized creature couldn’t have known the whole forest.
Nevertheless, it was impossible to ask it to search all the woods just to find people.
“What if it never comes back after that, that’d be my loss.”
However, he thought he would at least ask it to search nearby.
“Hmmm. It’s too dangerous to wander in the woods without any strategy. I don’t know the direction, so I can’t dig a tunnel and move from below……It’d be better to go up somewhere high and check the surroundings.”
Then there was only the third option left.
“Should I build an observatory?”
An observatory.
The third way he thought of was to build a tall tower and look down from the top.
The height must at least be higher than the trees of this forest so that he could see the surroundings of the forest properly.
Jung Da-woon decided to use the soil he had collected so far.
He thought of playing stack the blocks this time.

Changement : Version Face [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got heads.
