Chapter 162: The Banana Rain Skill
Michu held back.
He couldn't kill those residents as it would be the absolute death to them. All of those were named NPCs, so that was natural!
But their skills didn't help Michu, either.
The magicians and sorcerers relentlessly threw their skills at him.
At the same time, they didn't spare their consumables, either. Their mouths were filled with mana potions, and consumable resources such as rings and necklaces were lit up in bright colors, their resources quickly disappearing.
Michu jumped as far as possible, then slapped away all skills with his staff.
He also moved mid-air as his movement technique advanced in dire times!
"Oh?" The boss was impressed by Michu's movements and strength.
The monke used his staff and banana in a combination for the first time.
It wasn't just magic, but a combination of Michu's physical and sorcerer skills... He flew, slapped with physical strength, and sent bananas around himself!
All those skills heavily rained down on the residents, but he held back.
"You don't want them dead?" The boss sneered. "Live and die by evil. That's how I got resurrected!" He aimed his hand at the resident and channeled the evil mana.
At that time, Michu roared, "THE BROTHERHOOD!"
His senses and instincts increased to the divine level.
In a flash, Michu appeared in the middle between the boss and the resident.
His eyes golden, Michu extended his staff and attacked the boss, "Momo! Wake up!"
"You can speak?" KongFu reacted, then nodded, "The dire times are what pushes us! Don't hold back because he has corrupted her body. As long as she doesn't die, it's fine!"
Michu nodded.
He knew that the boss wouldn't fall so quickly, so he attacked with everything he got. His staff landed perfectly on the boss' palm, but the boss bore the brunt with ease.

"Don't lie to me. You know he will protect himself, so you attack with full strength. But once he falters, you will lower your strength as well. That's the mistake!" KongFu was in the old man teacher mode.
He made sure Michu would attack with everything he got, no matter what would be the boss' state.
"Throw everything and try to talk to her heart. If not, then kiss! I told you the method!" KongFu said enough.
Michu bit his lips and charged with his increased speed.
Using his five-juncture skill, he threw himself at Momo! His staff did its best to hit those points but to no avail!
Not deterred at all, Michu used the newly gained distance and threw his bananas!
"Momo!" Michu was in close combat with the boss. The boss couldn't use much of Momo's abilities yet and wrapping his limbs in evil mana was what he did the most.
He also could send magic bolts with his hands alone, but bananas took care of those!
"You aren't dead, right?!" Michu shouted at Momo while pressing his staff against the evil hands, "KongFu told me the way to bring you back... Would a kiss do it, though? I don't know! But if I have to kiss, then it would be you, not the boss!"
"Laughab- Hah? This body?" The boss laughed.
Alas for him, his laughter lasted less than ten seconds as Momo's heart trembled and her consciousness bloomed from within!
It confused the evil boss, and he failed to understand the process!
"This is succubus... A virgin succubus and yet?!" The boss didn't understand.
But Momo was the succubus princess, and she had a contract with Michu!
The former was what made her unique, however. Her abilities and bloodline were superb, and she had given her heart to Michu.

Therefore, if she had either body or soul, she wouldn't die as long as Michu wanted her back!
Momo's consciousness returned, and she kicked the bastard away from her body!
"Master..." Momo was exhausted, and she landed in Michu's body!
With her back, the charm on other residents dispersed, and they returned to their senses! All confused, they glanced at the lovely scene of Lil Monke holding his woman!
Then they spotted the building mass of evil mana behind them!
"Everyone! Are you back?!" Michu asked, but he knew well with his divine senses, "Let's pummel this bastard!"
This was more than gangster!
A bastard who nearly killed Momo!
Michu told Momo to turn into a cat, hid her within his clothes, then rushed with his heart hot and beating like crazy!
He wanted to use every possible ability to make this man suffer!
[You have learned The Banana Rain Skill.]
[The Banana Rain Skill - Summon thirty banana cannons at once.]
[You have enough bananas for fifteen banana cannons!]
[You have used The Banana Rain Skill.]
"He must die!" Michu shouted!
"YEAH!" The residents followed Lil Monke!
The boss, in a mass of evil mana, looked at all those incoming skills with fear! But what he feared the most was an army of the falling bananas!
Who would've thought that the fearsome and corrupted teacher would fear bananas at some point?
Those bananas fell down onto him and battered the hell out of him!
Michu arrived with his staff, his eyes glaring at the boss...
His staff was heavy with his bonk, but hatred weighed the most.
It landed on the mass of evil mana, then the loudest explosion in the dungeon's history spread across it.
The teachers at the entrance also felt it!
[A Critical Strike! -12000 HP!]
"AHHHHHHHHHH!"
"It was for Momo!" Michu roared, "And this is for making my heart ache!" Another blow landed, and that was the beginning of the evil mass' pummeling.
After Michu and his new resident buddies beat that thing, they left the dungeon while utterly exhausted.
"You guys! What happened to the dungeon?! Did it... disappear?!" The teacher asked.
"Yes! The boss appeared, and we all beat him!" Michu laughed.
He then kept his mouth shut as KongFu told him not to say anything about the rewards!
And those rewards were terrific!

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.

After the End: Serenity
We all want to believe we are heroes of our own story - unless we want to be the villain, of course. At the end of everything, the Final Reaper decided he hadn’t been a hero. Driven by a desire to right the wrongs he was subjected to, he killed everyone who wronged him or his people - which turned out to be everyone that wasn’t killed by someone else first. He'd won - but it was a hollow victory. Eventually, Order’s Voice found a way out. If the only existing being would agree to give up most of his power, the Voice could reset the multiverse to an earlier time with a few minor changes. Of course, the Voice couldn't ask it that way. It could only ask if the Final Reaper was willing to start over from when Earth was first brought into Order. It was an easy decision, and yet it wasn’t. Was he willing to go through eons of pain again to not be alone? Yes. In a heartbeat. Not that his heart beat anymore. Now it would. Perhaps he could even be a hero, this time. When he landed in his old body - more or less - on Earth, the Final Reaper once again became Thomas. He was both and neither. He needed a new name for a new life. Serenity. ------------------------------------------ While this is technically a System Apocalypse story, it's a System Apocalypse that is designed to have a large percentage of the population survive and prosper. There are a lot of problems that come with the appearance of the Voice, and it's entirely possible to lose. Earth has some special opportunities, but also special challenges. The first time around, Earth won the first round and lost the second. Serenity has ten years from when the Voice arrives to prevent that from happening. It will be a group effort; Serenity can't win alone - which is difficult for someone who's been alone for as long as he has. Of course, that's only his second priority. ------------------------------------------- Updates Daily A note on the nonhuman lead tag: He isn't human, and hasn't been human for a very, very long time (or maybe not long at all, depending on how you count it). He still thinks of himself as human, either way. The content warnings are mostly to give me room to write; this fiction is not intended to be edgy, but once in a while a character will swear or someone will get seriously injured. The cover image is a Chandra/Hubble composite image of VV 340 / Arp 302 / UGC 9618. While we're not going to space itself any time soon in the story, people from elsewhere are coming to Earth and Serenity will visit other planets. Plus, I like space imagery.
