Chapter 95: Cerberus

Michu's victory brought up a wave of excitement to the viewers.

His battle style was just too flashy and he always wore his smile! Such an exuberant fella was just too enjoyable and so numbers on his social media skyrocketed.

At the same time, Michu also teamed up with Kaiser and they were on their way to sniff out the suspicious matter.

Though that matter was not known by viewers, their teamwork was something they enjoyed.

Kaiser was kinda going mad with his energy balls and army carriage while Michu just did an extraordinary battle, then used his staff for some snipes!

This snipe brought a grimace to Kaiser's face and commentators didn't miss and so did the viewers!

It was all funny, but Kaiser and Michu were in a serious talk again.

"This staff has an ego," Kaiser glanced at the battle's spoils.

It was a staff whose looks returned.

By the looks, Kaiser meant the original look no longer covered by Charmeleon's Skin. The staff was a high-quality weapon that had an ego!

And what was the reward for first place in The Regional Tournament?

Excalibur which was the weapon with an ego; Dragon Slayer!

Kaiser knew that every weapon with an ego wasn't the same, but the invaders had sent someone with such a weapon!

Just how much worth was that Excalibur?

"Could you head to the cave?" An unknown voice assailed both Kaiser and Michu.

[One of the players had sent his whereabouts to you. Do you want to accept?]

"It has to be the organizers. Let's accept it," Kaiser said, then guided his army toward the spot marked on the map.

At this point, he was convinced that something fishy was going on and that this tournament's top-ranking would depend on more than just points!

For sure, he and Michu had already scored a lot of points just by working together against Konger.

Kaiser shifted his eyes secretly to Michu.

'What class does he have? What grade?' He thought inwardly because the feat Michu just did genuinely freaked him out. He didn't show much of it on his face, but the thoughts of fixing his relationship popped out in his mind.

Kaiser knew what kind of relationship would be the best between them, "Do you want to become rivals? I would call it... friendly rivals."

"Eh? You aren't angry anymore?" Michu asked, but he soon smiled as Kaiser's indignation had faded away already!

"There are many versions of black magic... Let's say that I understand you better now," Kaiser shrugged and instantly switched from the black magic topic.

He had never thought there would be people who called the game system 'black magic'. He buried the thoughts and small drama that had happened due to it deep in his heart, then spoke about the rival thing.

Kaiser sneered, "I and you are kind of unique. My class quest will change the world and so will your powers. I feel like we will clash with each other more in the future, but with a world this big, we also should be able to team up. What do you think?"

"Does that mean you won't be petty if I beat you?" Michu thought out loud.

Kaiser's face distorted, but he heaved a loud sigh and said, "If anything, I won't be going all mad to just hunt you." He was confident.

Even though Kaiser lost once, he believed in himself that should they fight in the future, he would have an upper hand with more experience and upgraded skills! Michu also would evolve, but Kaiser lacked one thing.

It was the courage to go to the extreme!

But he understood something after battling with Michu! He needed that courage as black magic's user!

"I never had a rival, but it sounds nice and challenging! Hehe! You are my rival then!" Michu giggled, "Now, we are allies and I will trust you one-hundred percent!" This was something that KongFu disliked.

One shouldn't trust someone one-hundred percent!

However, Michu was also aware of it, but he couldn't put their genuine teamwork in different words.

Thus, those were just words, but Michu planned to work with Kaiser for real in this Regional Tournament.

"You can rely on me," Kaiser smiled faintly, which looked like a genuine smile.

The duo found the cave a few minutes after their talk ended.

It was a dark and small cave, but the important thing was that the stream wouldn't reach here! Kaiser said it out loud and both monkeys nodded to his words.

They spotted a man here from the guild that organized this whole tournament! His level and stats were unknown and he was just here to examine the weapon Michu got from his opponents.

"I swear I won't steal it from you..." He promised, and Michu reluctantly gave it to him.

But just before the weapon landed on the man's hand, Michu said, "I want to know where the player named Venomous is. I want her location to appear on my minimap as you did just now!"

Michu couldn't just go with the man's flow.

He had heard so many warnings from Venomous to be careful of others and he also learned from her to leverage on every favor others wanted from her.

Though Michu often forgot to utilize all this knowledge, he didn't fail to do so now.

The thing that drove him the most was that he wanted to see her, though.

"We have a deal," The man could've waited for Zerze to deal with his opponents.

It was clear as the sun that Zerze was the favorite to win this tournament, so those invaders should've spent a lot of resources to not just find him, but also to beat him!

But from the looks of it, Zerze was unrestrained and no one forced him to go all out except Venomous!

The organizers didn't want to wait, so the man accepted Michu's deal.

[You have gotten Venomous' location.]

Michu smiled and passed the weapon.

"This kind of weapon... You have struck gold, Michu." The man smiled, "Of course, it's yours," He passed it back, but after his smile wore off, indignation rose in its place!

He was clearly annoyed by the fact that someone had invaded their Regional Tournament! It was not only a matter of pride and face but the fact that they just hadn't noticed it at all!

Their guild's credibility had been severely wounded!

"You can't stop the tournament and publicize the news, so you want us to work together and deal with the problem," Kaiser spoke and his smile added oil to the man's indignation. "Of course, we will work together. As for Zerze, I guess he will want to fuck us all at once, so I won't get close to him." Basically, Kaiser didn't give a fuck about anyone.

He just added, "Allow us to use our equipment. I promise to not use it on eastern players."

This proposal was accepted by the man's guild and both Michu and Kaiser got their equipment back.

After the man disappeared, Kaiser burst out laughing, "Ahahaha! Second place is at least mine!"

"Not the first one?" Michu asked.

"If we get our equipment back, then Zerze and others will surely get it too. I suspect that Venomous also got her stuff back because of you. Anyway, it's time to get a lot of points!" Kaiser snapped his finger, then a black book appeared in his hand.

He flipped the pages, they suddenly yanked one!

This page turned into the wolf with three heads, "Cerberus! Did you miss me?"

Woof! Woof! Woof!

"Hahaha! It's time to feast on those fuckers! Lil Monke! The one who deals the most damage gets the points. Are you up for a challenge?"

"Anytime! And it's a cute puppy you got there! It looks funny with three heads!"

Cerberus was a small wolf!

Although it was one of Kaiser's masterpieces, Cerberus was just a mutated wolf as of now. It was far from the legendary creature, but Kaiser's black magic was already doing wonders and he was confident his wolf would evolve together with him!

The small wolf howled at Michu with all three heads, but Lil Monke just laughed together with KongFu!

He extended his hand and equally patted three heads, "Here, here."

Cerberus turned meekly in a flash.

"Cerberus!" Kaiser shouted incredulously!

As if its master's shout awakened it, Cerberus shook all three heads and returned to bark! But its stance was different against Michu and one could see it with the naked eye!

Monke laughed out loud, "Nice puppy!"

"You will change your mind soon," Kaiser said with pride, then both of them left the cave!
