I Will Be The Monkey God! Chapter 92

Chapter 92: An unknown enemy
Yumi lay on the snow, looking at the blue sky through snowflakes.
She knew that Zerze wouldn't have left her alone if there were any enemies, so she plainly lay on the ground.
In this battle, Venomous had probably reached her goal, "I should've gotten a lot of followers." She chuckled, then closed her eyes, "The first defeat... is sour." And her prince wasn't near her!
That was the worst, but Yumi was a strong woman.
Rather than complaining or crying about her loss, Venomous turned her eyes to her sword and analyzed what had just happened.
Cuddling and complaining would happen anyway in the monke's embrace!
"The sword doesn't suit me..." Yumi uttered, then laughed, "Have you seen a snake with a sword?" The snake was often what people associated with her due to her eyes. Yumi also used it frequently and she often said that she 'bites'.
Now, wasn't it hard to bite with a sword?
Venomous also remembered that cat woman, Kitty Blue.
Her eyes narrowed and a plan that KongFu would never accept, formed. This plan would make this monkey god scream and jump at her, but Venomous couldn't care less.
What she lost, she would regain!
"Chosen by the ice dragon..." Yumi gave this title a thought.
She didn't receive any title after her battle with those blue eyes. It was a battle of wits and will and she believed that one of the best rewards had fallen to her hands. Of course, that was indeed the best reward, but a tag 'Stepping stone' was attached to this reward.
All because Zerze was the chosen one.
He was chosen one to gather those rewards. "I didn't have any title nor skill to take away other rewards..." Yumi felt like she had two choices now, "To screw the Ice Dragon and Zerze or just one of them."
This man had given her a chance to gather better rewards from The Regional Tournament, but he was also someone Michu wanted to become friends with.
Knowing how lonely her prince used to be, Venomous was left with two choices and the future would tell what kind of choice she would take.

And she could think of such choices because she was unbridled!
[Unbridled - Passive Skill - Your body will cleanse all crowd control effects for 5 seconds. Cooldown: 10 minutes.]
It was a skill that represented her strong will!
Even in the face of defeat, Yumi thought of her next moves. It wouldn't be just the next move, but a few more so that her goal would turn into a reality.
She still felt bitter, but that could wait for the prince's hug.

The monke prince appeared in the jungle.
"Wow, I am so lucky!" He said while spotting a banana.
"Those people are so biased," KongFu spoke about the reality behind all those 'spawn' points. Even he knew that organizers pulled some strings so that the viewers would like the tournament more.
It went without saying that people liked to see Michu munching on the banana as he happily gathered more!
The old monkey dug in his ear nonchalantly, "The more bananas, the better. This jungle also looks like it faced some problems, so you can try fixing those and level up your farmer's skills."
"True! I see a withered tree... and another one!" Michu began to analyze the trees while ignoring the black magic!
The system told him about the box and the part of the island he appeared in, but that was ignored as Michu didn't need words to know where he landed.
Of course, if he read those, he would know about players hiding around.
Fortunately for him, the players hadn't started fighting yet.
It was because the jungle was a little too messy and players struggled to move through vines and roots. The messy jungle was a good cover to all players, even though they all had appeared close to each other.
Thus, Michu was lucky, "There is a box." Too lucky, rather.
While examining the withered tree, Michu just casually spotted a box, opened it, took a staff and left it empty. He went further with his examination while telling KongFu, "Look out for players. We need points."
"I found them already. If they move, I will notify you," KongFu replied, his other ear getting dug in as he chilled on the monke's shoulder.

Thus, the monke focused on the withered tree.
He tried to use his farmer class' abilities!
Success!
"I need nourishing water! Can you hear water?" Michu asked!
KongFu was about to answer casually, but one of the preys moved, "On the north, there is one dude! He noticed us... In the north I said!"
"Ah, yeah! Haha!" Michu apologized, then rushed after the player!
The player was no one special and Michu easily defeated him with a weapon in his hand. He could use most of his abilities, so it was a one-sided battle.
But the point was the point!
He patted his belly with content, then the journey in the jungle continued.
Banana! Water!
These two were the things Michu focused on as he aimed to learn more about his farmer subclass! He also wanted to fix the tree and learn something new too!
However, someone was hiding in the shadows!
"It's Kaiser!" Michu shouted, his staff pointing at the Black Magic Magician!
"Are you playing with your black magic? I wonder how many buttons you have to click to turn other bugs into your army!" Michu said, causing the viewers and Kaiser himself to blank and look at him with vacant eyes.
Kaiser replied, "The fuck you saying?"
"Do you have an army?" Michu didn't like his struggles with black magic, so he didn't press further with the topic.
Instead, he asked about Kaiser's army to which The Black Magician's face distorted, "How can I have an army so fast?"
"Oh... True! In this case, run away! I won't hunt you." Michu wanted to fight Kaiser again.
Kaiser was pretty vulnerable or so many people thought, but Michu wanted to challenge an army and black magician again!
And the point he would get by killing him, Michu would just get by hunting other players hiding in the jungle.
"Why?" Kaiser narrowed his eyes and replied, not knowing why Michu would waste 'such golden opportunity.
"Aren't you weak without an army?" Michu genuinely asked.
A vein popped off on Kaiser's temple, then he pointed his hand at the monke! This hand howled with Black Magic! "Who the fuck is weak? The army is just an addition! It's additional fun I like! Come at me, Lil Monke!"
"Okay! Let's fight then! I accept the challenge!" Michu righteously said, but KongFu raised his hand.
This baby monke was suspicious and Kaiser shifted his eyes to him.
KongFu said, "Come out, doggy." He had a baby monke's appearance, but his voice was old!
Kaiser looked around and locked his eyes on the rustling bush.
A man emerged out of this bush, "I didn't expect to be spotted! Haha! But it's kinda rude to call me doggy, isn't it, Baby Monke?"
"Call me Baby Monke again and I will be the one to personally tear down that cover," KongFu's words didn't bring any reaction out of this man, but inwardly, his heart thumped loudly and faster.
KongFu sneered, feeling that change with his great senses, "Who do you think you are facing? An old god! You can't elude my senses with such a cheap technique... whose origins I am aware of!"
"What are you talking about, KongFu?" Michu asked.
"This man has camouflage on. He is not only hiding his true self, but also his equipment. The thing is that no one can bring their stuff to this island, but he somehow did it... Guess what?"
"He is the invader!" Michu narrowed his eyes and glared at the man! "What did you do to the original participant?"
The man blankly stared at them and feigned ignorance, "What are you all talking about? Are you misunderstanding something?"
"We will know whether we misunderstand or not. Michu! Slap this guy's face first!" KongFu cracked his knuckles, then suddenly halted, "This guy has friends... Now, it makes me think... How many people are under cover?"
"I totally not understand what you are talking about," The man replied, but looking into his eyes, KongFu's sneer kept widening!
"Tricking and revealing tricks... Oh, that gives us a lot of pleasure!" He spoke in the name of all monkeys!

But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
